Inside, the home blends comfort and charm with a fully stocked kitchen, inviting living spaces, comfortable bedrooms, and a loft hangout perfect for kids or game nights. Outside, guests can enjoy outdoor dining, kayaks, the hot tub, and easy access to some of the best boating, fishing, and waterfront dining on Virginia’s Middle Peninsula.
Located just minutes from marinas, local seafood spots, the Deltaville Maritime museum, and community pickleball courts and pool, Blue Heron Hideaway offers the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. Whether you’re enjoying morning coffee overlooking the creek, spending the afternoon on the water, or watching the sunset by the fire, this waterfront retreat is the kind of place guests will want to return to every year.
A refundable damage deposit of $500 is required for all reservations booked outside of Airbnb. The deposit will be authorized (held) on the credit card used to make the reservation beginning 2 days prior to check-in. If no damage, excessive cleaning, missing items, or policy violations are identified, the hold will be released 2 days after check-out. Depending on your financial institution, it may take several additional business days for the release of funds to become available in your account.
By completing your reservation, you authorize Bay Property Management to place this temporary hold on the payment card provided. If damage, excessive cleaning, missing items, or other circumstances incurred during your stay, all or a portion of the deposit may be retained to cover those costs, with documentation provided as applicable.
Occupancy: Only registered guests listed on the reservation are permitted on the property at any time.
2. No parties, events, or large gatherings. These are strictly prohibited.
3. Smoking: No smoking or vaping allowed inside the home.
4. Pets are allowed only with prior approval and a pet fee applies to bookings with pets. Two dogs max and dogs must be well trained and up to date on all preventative flea/tick medications. Unauthorized pets may result in additional fees. Please pick up waste from your pet outdoors and dispose in a trash receptacle. Failure to pick up after pets could result in additional cleaning fees.
5. Check-in/Checkout: Check-in begins at 4:00pm. Checkout is by 10:00 am unless otherwise approved.
6. Property care: Please treat the home with care. Guests are responsible for damages beyond normal wear and tear.
7. Waterfront access: Guests assume all risk when using docks waterfront areas , hot tub, and outdoor amenities.
8. Septic system: The home operates on a septic system. Please flush toilet paper only. Do not flush wipes, feminine products, paper towels, or dispose of grease or food down drains.
9. Safety: Do not move fire extinguishers, move or disable smoke alarms/detectors, or carbon monoxide detectors.
10. Trash: Guests are responsible for taking all trash with them when they leave, trash service is not available in the area and leaving the home in reasonable condition.
11. Access and security: Do not share door codes or access instructions with anyone not on the reservation. One outdoor ring camera is at the front door for home security purposes only. There are NO interior security cameras.
12. Furniture: Please do not move or rearrange furniture indoors or outside.
Violation of these house rules may result in additional charges , immediate termination of the reservation without refund, and/or involvement of Airbnb.
