The host was very nice. We had great communication and he was prompt with his responses. This is a very family friendly and safe environment. The pool was well maintained and clean.

This unit is in a great location which is close to grocery stores, restaurants, etc. It's probably less than 10 drive to the Surf City Island and beach area. It's on the second floor or a 4 story building. The other occupants were quiet and respectful. I visited the 3rd week of September, so the busy season was certainly past and had no issues with parking. It's easy access in and out. But I can't recommend this unit due to confusing communication with the host about check out cleaning responsibilities and the fact that the unit was very dirty and smelled bad. There was mildew on inside of the shower curtain, disgusting, and the closer I looked, the more I saw. Under the kitchen sink is a disaster, trash left from previous people, everything grimy and dirty. The kitchen floor was dirty and I saw no vacuum prints on the carpet when I arrived. There was sticky stuff on the end table in the living room. Most things in the unit are worn out and disgusting dirty and need to be replaced. The mircowave door is about ready to fall off, I didnt open the dishwasher because it was sitting crooked and didnt want to disturb it. I only made my own pour over coffee, so I only used the microwave and fridge, which thankfully was clean and worked well. I was asked by the host to launder the sheets and towels and vacuum the floor, but there was no vacuum anywhere. I felt like there was no outside cleaning service at all for this unit, I felt like the host is relying on the clients to clean it.

Unfortunately, we feel that you are being dishonest in your review of our humble condo. You pointed our areas that were unclean, however you show no photos or proof that our place was not clean. Considering the length of your stay, and I asked you when you checked-in if everything was satisfactory and to let us know if there are any issues. However, once I reminded you that all we ask is to, "leave our place the way you found it", your tone changed and became belligerent. If the condo was not clean to your satisfaction, you should have immediately let us know so we could correct the areas you pointed out in the review. The fact of the matter is you left our property damaged and in disarray. We had to hire carpet cleaners, painters, and contractors to repair the damaged carpet stains, wall damages, and fixing the kitchen appliances. As stated in our information about the property, this is not a hotel, this is our home and we live here most of the year. We have friends and family that rent our condo throughout the year and find it clean and functional. Our condo has always been very accommodating to our guests and we go out of our way to communicate via email and text on the check-in and check-out process. We even offered you a 20% discount on your next stay, with no reply or thank you.

Absolutely perfect for our family. We loved the close proximity to multiple places to eat and buy groceries. David was very accommodating to our timeline. We will definitely be back to enjoy this perfect place!

The condo was as advertised. Very nice, easy to get to, lots of amenities and is in a good location around a lot of places and things to do. We would definitely rebook this place if we ever make a trip back to Surf City.
