This lovely two story home is located on the north side of downtown's historic district, within walking distance of the live oak pavilion and all that downtown Wilmington has to offer! Built in 1996, enjoy the comfort of recent construction while in the midst of historic homes from the late 1800s and early 1900s. Enjoy the outdoors with a fenced in garden area for grilling and a screened-in back porch. The a welcoming front porch is equipped with rocking chairs and a porch swing to greet neighbors out walking their dogs or watch as your kids play in the park across from the home. Inside, Sixth on the Park features queen beds in the front and back bedrooms and a bunk bed that sleeps three in the middle bedroom (double bottom, single top).
Take a stroll down to the Riverwalk for a leisurely dinner by the water and if you enjoy theater or music, Thalian Hall and The Wilson center are just down the way. In fact, you can easily walk to everything that makes downtown the place to be: casual to fine dining, hip coffee houses, art galleries, antique shops, horse drawn carriage rides, Shops of Old Wilmington or the Cotton Exchange, historic tours, Ghosts of Wilmington Tour, haunted pub crawls, Wilmington’s Farmer’s Market (April – December), the Azalea Festival (April), Riverfest (October), the Brooklyn Arts Center, the NC Battleship (take a ferry from Water St.), Cape Fear Community College, and The Wilmington Convention Center.
Experience the night life and then walk back to the house for the quiet of our comfortable home. If you have a car, there is one private parking spot at the end of the driveway and an abundance of free on-street parking. Wrightsville beach is approximately a 15 minute car ride from the house with Carolina Beach, Kure Beach and Ft. Fisher (home to the NC Aquarium) being 30-45 minutes away. The city offers many spots for children: Fit for Fun on 10th Street(ages 6 mo. to 5 yrs.), The Children's Museum located downtown on 2nd and Orange (ages 2 to 10ish), Monkey Joe's, Jungle Rapids, skating rinks, an ice skating house, the list goes on.
