Step back into 1898 with all the comforts of modern day conveniences. 2 bedroom, one bath, with 1200 square feet of wood deck and flagstone patio overlooking the center of the Town of Jerome and the entire Verde Valley. Easy (vertical) walking distance to the center of town shops, wineries, restaurants. Great year round weather and peaceful mountain air evenings. Stay in a 127 years old house which was buried in mud and abandoned for 60 years.

The John Riordan House is the highest rentable space available in Jerome. It is located directly above the center of town with fantastic views of the town and valley below.

A full two page story of the 81 and 86 year old Riordan brothers returning to their childhood home after it was buried for over 60 years was featured in the November's 2014 issue of Arizona Highways magazine.

Because of the steep terrain and gravel roads, we do not allow motorcycles at the property. This is for safety of both our guests and our direct neighbors.

Home Away From Home

Once you drive up the steep hill and you reach your destination your nerves and body start to relax. The view is inviting to another world. I definitely recommend this house to anyone that wants to reconnect.

Great place to experience Jerome. If you like old western towns with history Jerome definitely qualifies. Very relaxed atmosphere. Fantastic view from atop Cleopatra hill.

The house and views are amazing! The house is well appointed with anything you may need. The road leading up to and away from the house is a bit rough, but the ability to park onsite is worth it! This was my second time staying at the Riordan House and it certainly won't be my last.

Comfortable Home with Great Views

The Instructions were clear and home was clean. The stay was a unique experience and exemplified the cool spirit of Jerome with picturesque views of the Verde Valley. I will recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in Jerome.

Very interesting home. You, pretty much need a 4x4 for the road into the home, very rugged. Lovely little cottage, nicely restored with incredible views!

Million dollar view

We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to visit again soon! The accommodations are great for relaxing and enjoying the scenery. My family liked having the story and history all throughout the home. The host had great communication especially since we made a last minute reservation.

Amazing!

We have nothing negative to say about this trip. We went for my husbands 40th and this amazing little house at the top of the hill takes you back in time and is just incredibly peaceful!

Merkin/Puscifer side quest on the way to the Grand Canyon

The house is amazing and we enjoyed the history featured. The view was beautiful and it is a short walk to restaurants and shopping. It was the perfect location for visiting Jerome and Cottonwood.

Great Short Stay

We had a short overnight visit but was a lot of fun. The drive to the house was on a very narrow sketchy road, but it was part of the adventure. :) the house was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The AC worked great. Outside gathering area was perfect for sky watching. We will definitely be returning. Thanks Glenn!!

As a fifth generation general contractor and carpenter, I bought the house with the intent to restore to it's original state to preserve a unique piece of Jerome and Arizona history.

Pictured along with myself (on right) is Neil Riordan(on left). Neil, along with his brother John grew up in this house from 1931 until 1953. You can read the 2 page article in ARIZONA HIGHWAYS MAGAZINE about the families life and their escape when the mudslide struck the house while living inside.
