Cute as a button

The pictures are real. We loved it! This cozy cabin is walking distance to downtown Truckee, (if its not 8 degrees), and its easy to drive to. There's plenty of room for two adults and two kids. (Might be tight for four adults.) Great walking close by. Mitch, the host, is a joy to work with. Super easy! We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Cozy cabin in a great location

Cozy little cabin that was warm and clean. Perfect location. Walking trails right out the front door and beautiful downtown Truckee within walking distance.

Cozy Cabin with Ideal Location

The cabin is very cozy and perfect for a small family. The location is ideal with walking access to central Truckee as well as walking trails along the Truckee River. The cabin is very well stocked and the bedding is very comfortable and our dog was very welcomed. Mitch was proactive in communication of pertinent details of the stay and very responsive when I reached out to hi with information and questions. We would definitely stay at this cabin on a future visit to Truckee.

Lovely stay at The Cabin

This was a short stay but very cozy and nice. It is the second time we stayed here and we will be back. Mitch was very helpful and gracious.

Perfect for family of three. Highlights: cozy gas fireplace in living room, full kitchen, very comfortable bedding, well cared for grounds (i.e. perfect snow removal), and great communication!

Cute little cabin

My husband and I loved staying at this cabin. Wonderful location with walking distance to the shops and little restaurants/ coffee shops. Bed is super comfy. Very close to palisade so perfect for our ski weekend. We had such a lovely time. The only negative was that the refrigerator was smelly so hopefully that can be fixed before the next guest. All in all, it was wonderful and we hope to stay again!

Fun in Truckee

This was our second time at the cabin -- the location is great! We enjoyed the 'wood' stove, and the bed is very comfortable. Looking forward to our next visit!

Great location, nice house

Small but very well set up house in a great location. Easy walk to town. We stayed with our 2 teenage girls and it was small but not an issue for us.

Cozy

Mitch has thought of everything. The property has everything you need and is walking distance to downtown Truckee and all it has to offer. Great walking trails for people and dogs are right outside your door. We are a family of 4 with a very big teenager and a dog . It worked out great.

This cabin provides the best amenities and location to old town truckee. Easy to get to local resorts either with driving or by using local transportation. Enjoy!

Cute and cozy

While the house is small, it never felt cramped with 4 of us. It has been nicely designed, looks clean and modern, with a great shower. And, even though it snowed continuously for 2 days, the walkway was cleared of snow daily, or more.

Beautiful, cozy cabin near downtown Truckee

My partner and I stayed in this cabin for a writing retreat weekend, and brought our dog with us. The place is perfect for a cozy and comfortable stay in Truckee. It is right next to some open space by the river, and is also a ~5 minute walk to downtown. All of us really enjoyed our stay and will almost certainly be back!

special cottage experience

The property had everything I wanted, great location, super furnishing, and very responsive owner. Mitch did everything to make my stay enjoyable. I highly recommend the cottage and would definitely stay here again.

Outstanding cabin and host

We had an Amazingly Wonderful stay at this cabin. It is super nice and very private. Fantastic backyard that has a really nice gas bonfire pit and looks out on the forest surrounded by gorgeous Aspen trees. We will make this one of our regular destinations in the future. Awesome Spot

We loved our stay at this property!! My husband and our two friends were in Tahoe for a wedding, so the four of us rented this house. We have visited Truckee countless times, but this was our first stay at this river cabin. We loved the quietness of the dead-end street and the proximity to downtown Truckee... everything within a 5-10 minute walk! We walked down to the river from the cabin -- the location is perfect. The amenities are modern and the decor is perfect for a ski/lake cabin. The hot water heater is very loud and both the bed and the pull-out couch weren't the MOST comfortable, but neither of these factors affected how much we enjoyed staying here! Highly recommend, and would absolutely rent again!!

Sweet Cabin/Awesome Location

We really enjoyed this sweet, immaculate and quiet cabin in the perfect location. I also enjoyed the trains passing by all hours of the day and night. Both the cabin and the town of Truckee itself are quite charming. We walked to great coffee, meals and shops. We also spent time paddle boarding on Donner Lake, renting and riding E-bikes on the Truckee River trail and even dipped into the river across the street from the cabin down at the bridge. We will definitely be booking here again in the future!
