We really enjoyed our stay at the beach house. It was exactly what we expected, clean and all the immedaties. The owner Hal, was right on the spot, when we needed anything. We all agree that this is the place to stay when coming to Kailua Kona.Much Mahalo and Aloha Jerry,John, Rick and Dan.

Perfect location! Just a few minutes walk to the beach. The house was clean and spacious, in a quiet neighborhood. Would definitely recommend!

We very much enjoyed this house. It was in a great location that was a short walk to Magic Sands beach. The house was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed; from full kitchen needs to make meals there to beach accessories on the porch. Hal was super helpful and easy to work with from before we arrived to when we got home. Check-in was easy and Hal checked in with us the next morning to make sure we had everything we needed. He was quick to respond (no issues, just looking for suggestions). He also checked in with us the day after we left to thank us and to make sure our return home went well.

This was a great location! The side room was actually open to the outside with screened doors. It was secure but not as quiet as we hoped as you could hear all the lovely birds at all hours. If you were hoping for a bonus couch for your teen son to sleep on, this would not be it. The kitchen was well supplied with basic necessities and the bathrooms were bigger than I expected. The mattresses were not the most comfortable, so if you have back problems, it may not be a great choice. My kids, husband, and I were fine, but my parents (in their 70s) were a bit uncomfortable. I appreciated the boogie boards and beach gear on hand as well. It really is a very short walk to Magic Sands beach and the little short-cut path is a fun mini adventure for kids. All things considered, it was a great price for what you get and I would stay there again.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We're so glad you and your family enjoyed the location, the easy walk to Magic Sands Beach, the beach gear, and the home's value. It means a lot to hear that you would stay with us again. We wanted to clarify a couple of items for future guests. The home is advertised to comfortably sleep up to seven guests using the designated beds, including a pull-out sleeper sofa in the living room that is specifically intended for sleeping. The couch in the bonus/family room is designed as a seating area to enjoy the indoor/outdoor living space and is not intended to be used as an additional bed. The bonus room is one of our favorite features because it allows guests to enjoy Hawaii's tropical breezes and natural surroundings. While you may occasionally hear birds, the home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, and many guests enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and sounds of nature. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the mattresses. Since your stay, we've replaced all of the mattresses with new ones, and we're excited that future guests will enjoy an even more comfortable night's sleep. Mahalo for choosing to stay with us, and we hope to welcome you and your family back to the Big Island!

Delightful family celebration

The accommodations were comfortable and the location was convenient to access and to many of the desired attractions and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great Place for Families

The property is perfect for families. Plenty of room, and all the amenities. Hal is a super host!!! Very easy to contact, fast to respond, and he's very eager to make your stay a great experience!

Good location

Our family enjoyed their stay . The beds are comfortable. We walked to the beach but couldn’t swim because of high surf and no sand. Close to Kona with lots of shops and restaurants.

Great Property!

Great property in quiet neighborhood. Great for Kona IronMan spectating as easy to get close to festivities from this location. Property was clean & well appointed.

Family vacation

We had the best time. This home worked perfectly for our family. It has plenty of room, lots of beach chairs and equipment, very responsive host. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place!

We really enjoyed our stay, the property was as described and very clean. We loved walking to the beach for sunset every night. Check-in was easy and owner checked in to make sure things were going well. Thanks so much!!

Perfect island getaway

Nice, clean, well-appointed property with an unbeatable location. The owner was very friendly and easy to communicate with. There is plenty of beach gear to use, and the outdoor shower has hot water! I can't say enough nice things about this property. I would definitely stay there again.

Vacation

Well equipped spacious home in nice neighborhood. Everything worked great, plenty of kitchen ware for cooking. Plenty of beach gear available for use. Highly recommend this vacation rental!

Enjoyed it

We had a great stay. Very nice house. Easy walk to the beach, though the beach can get busy. Lots of beach toys and accessories at the house, but it may be time to sort through and replace some items.

Magic Days at Magic Sands

We had a great stay at this property! The cleanliness of the house was appreciated, the beds comfy and best of all it was a good location for all that we wanted to do while on the island. This property manager is also responsive and cooperative. When our trip was extended courtesy of the airlines, he worked with us to be able to stay the extra day.

Great stay in great location

Hi, this was a great air bnb for our family. Very clean, nice kitchen to cook in, excellent AC, easy parking, and very close walk to Magic Sands beach where you can watch beautiful big waves. While Magic Sands isn't the best beach for kids, it was an easy drive into town and to many great kid friendly beaches. We appreciated the booster seat and Pack N Play for our toddler. The owner was easy to communicate with and replaced something quickly when it broke. We are looking forward to staying here again!

House for family

Quiet location. Good house for family with small kids. Well equipped kitchen. Well supplied with beach chairs, snorkels, boogie boards and toys:) Magic sands beach isn’t for small small kids in January but Kahalu’u Beach Park is only 1 mile away.

Great stay

Property was in good shape,plenty of room for our party of seven to spread out. Magic sands was lacking sand during our week, but not much you can do about mother nature. It was still a nice place to watch the sunset from. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect house and great location

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. We had our own personal code to enter the house, which is always a plus for security. The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was within walking distance to the beach and a great location for a short drive to shopping and restaurants. We loved how detailed the labels were in the house. The host was super accommodating and communicated quickly. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Location

The location was fantastic and the house was very clean. It had everything you would need for a long stay. The owner was so nice and communicated with me fast. The knob on the dryer broke and he let me know he had ordered the part and fixed it before the end of our visit. It was a 3 minute walk to Magic Sands beach. Greatness!
