Newer studio 100 feet from the sand! Mellow vibe and eco-friendly, the Blue Pelican Beach Rental is a cozy, ground level unit of our home complete with a full kitchenette, AC, and private patio just seconds from the warm sands of Mission Beach and Mission Bay. Patio dining and BBQ reserved for guests. Your hosts live upstairs (with kids) - just let us know if you need anything. Paddleboards, boogie boards, and beach chairs available.
Located just off the bustling main drag of Mission Blvd., this unit is the perfect spot for a couple or solo traveler visiting for a lively beach getaway. A complete tear down and remodel was just completed in 2022, so the space still feels new!
Brew fresh coffee and make breakfast in our brand new mini kitchen. Then, step off the patio and onto a laidback walkway. Turn west and feel sand beneath your feet in 30 seconds or head east towards walkable local shops, cafes, dining and night life.
Located within walking distance from Belmont Park (a local amusement park), The Blue Pelican Beach Rental is surrounded by buzzing night life, quaint coffee spots, beach shops, and the beautiful Pacific Ocean on one side and Mission Bay on the other.
Rent surfboards, paddle boards, and e-bikes on Mission Blvd and hop in an Uber for more adventures: we are 5 minutes from Sea World and 20 minutes from the San Diego Zoo and amazing museums in Balboa Park. Return home, store leftovers in our full-sized fridge, and enjoy the evening on the patio under the palm trees. Rest easy behind black out curtains in a brand new queen-sized bed and store your things in a walk-in closet.

Very nice, close to the beach
Easy check in. We were able to get an early check in which was nice. Super clean and close to the beach. Lots of shopping and places to eat close by.

A great place steps just off the beach at the Strandway in beautiful Mission Beach with access also to Mission Bay. Perfect weather and a nice patio to enjoy it. Great fridge and microwave for our leftovers. Check-in was so easy with the great instructions from our hosts.

Property was as described. Great communication and helpful when booking and checking in.

Pefect location
Property was exactly as described. Host was very responsive and easy to get in contact with. Property was the perfect location and just steps from the beach. We would absolutely book here again.

Best of everything
I stayed at this studio with my husband and 3 year old son. We had the best time, we were beach front and had many restaurants at walking distance. We were close to many family friendly activities and had such a beautiful scenery. Communication was easy and the studio was very clean and provided many amenities (crucial for a family with a toddler).

Returning Home
Originally from San Diego, I had the opportunity to visit recently and stayed in Mission Beach. My apartment was what I expected, and only a short walk to the beach (which I did on a regular basis). Looking forward to coming again!

Cute cozy studio in a great location
Had a short stay here with my teenager daughter. Everything was very clean. Hosts were friendly and easy to get a hold of. Love this neighborhood. Steps from the beach, food, and stores. I was able to find parking steps from the property on the strand way which was super convenient.

If you love being close to the beach, this is the perfect spot. It's a great little studio for two. The outside patio space is such a bonus. Steps away from the beach and the boardwalk (great for walking, biking, running, etc), So many great spots around for food. If you feel like cooking, everything is available in the unit to do that. On a gorgeous day, parking might be a little tight. The lot mentioned in booking is not a 24hr lot (no parking 2-4 am), but it's super easy to move the car after sundown - so no stress there. Lindsey (host) was super responsive. Book it and enjoy!

It was amazing, magical & some might say, just what the doctor ordered. You're immersed in a beautiful community, that pulls you in & you imagine spreading your wings here. Simple & perfect.

I absolutely loved the patio and grill, we used it each night to make dinner and be able to enjoy eating dinner outside. The space is small, but it has everything you need, and is very cozy. We got into town a bit early, and we were able to get an early check-in, which was a wonderful accommodation! Parking is a bit tricky, but we were able to score a parking spot right near the unit at some point on the first day. I would absolutely stay here again! I loved how close it was to the water, the boardwalk, coffee, shops, and grocery store!
