True to its name, the Hammock Cottage is located on a beach boardwalk path featuring an expansive front porch featuring a luring…HAMMOCK, the perfect spot to start your vacation! Tucked away just a few streets from the shopping and dining of Rosemary Beach, the St. Augustine Green and 2 pools, the Hammock Cottage is loved for its central location and charming character.

This 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath beach home is beautifully decorated with modern beach designs, and offers a fantastic separation of space for small and large groups. The cottage accommodates up to 10 guests comfortably. Three of the four bedrooms are located on the first floor. Two guest suites share a Jack and Jill bath with white tiled floors and marble countertops, one suite with a King and the other with a Queen bed. Continuing down the hallway you’ll find a children's bunk room, complete with 2 sets of built-in Twin Bunks and a private, shared bath.

Heading upstairs to the second floor, the master suite sits at the top of the stairwell, featuring a King bed, private bath and private balcony overlooking the beach boardwalk path. Your party is sure to enjoy the open floor plan of the kitchen, living and dining areas, ideal for entertaining. This space is light and bright, adorned with abstract art & unique light fixtures. The tall, white ceilings and large windows, flood the room with light for an inviting ambience. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and a custom backsplash. Once dusk falls, turn on the fireplace and enjoy the crisp night air from the comfort of your own wrap around balcony, overlooking the quaint beach boardwalk path.

The Hammock Cottage comes with 4 complimentary adult beach cruisers, conveniently parked in the bike rack located next to the boardwalk. The courtyard is yet another outdoor retreat. Nestled in the back of the home, it provides shaded seating for four at the patio table next to the grill.

Memorial Day Vaca

We had a nice trip. The house is in a great location. The weather was perfect. It’s nice to have a Publix a mile away. We’ve stayed in Rosemary several times. We like having the main living area upstairs. My husband was impressed with how well the grill worked. The washer and dryer are large sized which was great for washing beach towels everyday. I didn’t give 5 stars for the cleanliness is because our 8 month old feet were black from moving around the wood floor in his walker. There were no baths mats so we used towels. We were shorted towels for one room so I contacted the rental agency. I rec’d a text they had delivered but never got them. When I asked about it, I was told they’d check into it but never heard anything. The kitchen is pretty well stocked and was suitable for the meals we cooked. The television was nice but the volume on the remote didn’t work very well. Overall it is a nice home and we’d stay there again.

Beautiful and comfortable home

We were very happy with this house. It was very comfortable and there was pleanty of room for a family of 6 with 4 adult children. Management was very responsive to questions. Having stayed many times in Rosemary and the surrounding areas, we would definitely stay at this house again. Our only complaint was the wifi was unreliable so we had to use our hot spots often. Other than that, everthing was great!

Great House but

The house was very spacious and in a good spot! Even management was quick to answer calls when we encountered any issues. However, the doors did not securely lock. The doors would lock but you could push them open. Only the main door securely locked. This was concerning for a group of girls staying alone. The other downside was finding parking for additional vehicles since only one could park on-site and you can’t park in the surrounding streets. Overall, a good place to stay but I would not stay again until the doors security lock.

Very Comfortable Cottage

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family vacation at Hammock Cottage was wonderful. There was plenty of space for everyone. I was not sure at first how I felt about the kitchen and master being on the 2nd floor but we ended up loving it. It is a great layout for either 2-3 families or kids downstairs. As other reviews said there are roaches. I think this cannot be helped due to the trees. It rained most of our time there so we were happy to have lots of space and a very large balcony because we were indoors most of the time.

Disappointing

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family has stayed in Rosemary each summer for 10+ years. I've never given a poor review but this property does match our past experience. Living room furniture was absolutely worn out. The side chairs almost required someone to pull you out of them they were so broken down. Pitiful! Lots of worn paint on trim and stair rails. Bathtub drain in bath adjacent to the bunkroom was stopped up on the first use. (The cleaning team should have corrected this since it was stopped up at the beginning of our stay.) We had to open cans by piercing the top with a butcher knife and then using kitchen scissors to cut the can enough to create an opening because the can opener was probably bought at a Ben Franklin dime store in the 1960's. The can opener item is small but added to the frustrations other issues. Cushions on the second floor deck furniture are very dirty and worn. This property does measure to my past experience of Rosemary Beach. I'm not planning to stay here in the future.

The porch is one of the best parts as we spent a lot of time out on the porch. It is an easy walk to the beach, pool, and very close to the shopping area. Also, the rental company was easy to get in touch with and helped us immediately when we had questions. We would definitely rent this house again.

Except the cockroaches scared my kids into to not wanting to sleep in the downstairs beds. Beautiful decor. Porch has lights shattered. Nice linens. Loves the garage and toys we could use. TV’s could be updated. Biggest downside - and for lower rating was because of the cockroach issue.

Great location in central RMB

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the location of this home off a quiet boardwalk and very close to North Barrett Square, which means quick & easy access to restaurants and shopping. The beach is about a 10 min walk, depending on which walkover you use, and the Cabana pool is about 3 min's away. Property Mgmt was responsive and check in/out were easy. There is nearby construction but it wasn't an issue for us. Large porches were great for relaxing & AC works well (thank goodness bc it was 100 F!). A few minor maintenance issues should be addressed (e.g, upstairs outdoor porch light fixtures have broken glass, the built in microwave doesn't work but a backup appliance is provided, and several of the lamps/ light fixtures need new bulbs). Be aware that the downstairs king bed has no middle support so an adult cannot sleep in that bed; we worked around it but that would be an issue if two adults need to use that room. When we arrived the sofa cushions were really wet so I assume they had just been cleaned and needed a few days to dry. Overall a great property and I will rent from 30A Luxury again.

The house is in a great location for walkimg to the shops, restaurants and the beach.The home was very clean and had plenty of space for our family of 6. The layout was perfect for us as the downstairs had ajoining bedrooms for parents and toddlers, and the main floor with master bed and bath worked well for seniors who didn't have to climb stairs to go to kitchen/living room. The home does not have a Kuerig coffee machine as most rentals do these days. Maintainence issues (door knobs fell off of two doors and dishwasher needs some attention to make it easier to open and load).

The property is very nice but could use a few crucial updates or home supplies. The King bed on the first floor made sleeping almost impossible due a huge sag in the middle of the mattress. The dishwasher in the kitchen needs to be replaced. Finally, the house could use a vacuum cleaner and extra blankets for the bedrooms. Other than these shortcomings, we would recommend the home. Hammock

We recently stayed at the Hammock Cottage located just off the town center. The cottage has a slightly unusual layout. Three bedrooms and the laundry are on the first floor and the master, family room and kitchen are on the second floor. It also has a huge deck that spans the entire length of the second floor with plenty of outdoor furniture to enjoy. The house is less than a city block from the town center where there is plenty of shopping, great restaurants and coffee shops. The beach is a short ten min walk through the town center area, but very easy to reach. The area is very safe. There was only one down side to this property that is common all over Rosemary. The garages are small. If you own a GMC Yukon XL or a Chevy Suburban, you will have to park it on the street somewhere in the area. You are allowed one space in the garage and one parking pass to park on the street. Something to consider if you think you’ll spend time each day traveling up and down 30A. If not, the conveniences of Rosemary are all within walking distance as well as on a bike. Of special interest and highly recommended are restaurants Paradis, Pescada, and LeCrema in Rosemary and George’s and The Citizen nearby in Alys Beach.
