We have stayed in this charming cottage for nine years. It's a delight to with ocean views and a short walk to shops and restaurants. The host is easy to work with and always responds to any questions. We look forward to many more vacations in this ideal beach home.

Cute cottage close to beach. Ian responded when I reached out. We stayed during high 80s low 90s temps and portable A/C and fans helped overnight.

Very charming and conveniently located to Summerland Beach and surrounding local areas. Perfect for a family of 4. The property is close to 101 and the train tracks so keep in mind that you will hear traffic, background noises, and the occasional train horn. None of which bothered us at all.

What a beautiful place to spend a few sunny days exploring the Santa Barbara area! The house was spotless and so comfortable. The ocean view from upstairs is lovely and it’s a quick walk to both the beach and a cute street with restaurants and coffee shops.

Perfect location for exploring downtown Summerland, all within walking distance. Fairly steep stairs to second floor that includes living room, kitchen, and bathroom so a consideration if you have mobility or balance issues. We were there for only one night which worked for the smaller cottage layout. We might choose larger accommodations if we were going to have an extended stay. Host was an excellent communicator with needed details.

Fantastic host was very responsive and accomodating. You can't beat the location - just a five minute walk from great restaurants, an amazing bookstore and the beach@

We enjoyed our two week stay. The place is very convenient (less than ten minutes walk) to a beautiful and very quiet beach. We found the lower bedroom (with king size bed) to be a little too dark and damp for our taste. So, and after the first few nights, we preferred to sleep in the upstairs space which has a double bed and a day bed. The upper level really can function as a studio apartment by itself and has great ocean views and breezes. The town is very small and charming. It has several fancy stores (selling decor, rugs, plants, candles incense, books, etc.) and a gas station. There are two coffee shops and a few breakfast/lunch cafes - but only a pizzeria and burger joint serve dinner. There are steep hills which may cause problems for people with mobility issues. Monecito is about fifteen minutes drive to the north and Santa Barbara another fifteen minutes north of that.

This is situated in a prime location. It is about 15 minutes away from Santa Barbara where we were to attend a wedding. Also close to several dining options. The place itself was more dated than the photos. The top floor where the living, dining and 2 beds are located gets oppressive with heat in warm weather. Always open the windows for airflow. As for the host… I made one important request before our stay: to make sure there was a working iron and board. It was listed among their amenities and he assured me there was. Found a board without a cover but no iron! The host never got back to me when asked for help. Least responsive host I have ever encountered.

A great stay! The property is a funky, 2 story cottage with a great view of the ocean. The kitchen is well stocked. The property is immaculately clean. The cottage is just off the freeway making all of Santa Barbara easily accessible. Highly recommended

Pros: The beach cottage is cozy and easy to walk to town.Cons: The smell of the cleaning products and laundry detergent were overwhelming. Also, we were surprised that there is only one bedroom. The other bed is in the living room. I would be wary to stay here with small children because the furniture is very close to the stair railing. We left after one night.
