Old Mine Cottage is outfitted with quite a few amenities that will make your stay very enjoyable! A 5 person hot tub is always a hit with younger and older guests alike, and for a perfectly relaxing experience, the outdoor fire pit is a great place to unwind after a day of sightseeing, golfing, or however you choose to spend your time in Luray! The kitchen is beautifully designed and comes complete with every appliance needed, including a dishwasher. There is a washer and dryer on site as well for those who wish to use them. Every few hours the train comes through, and the property is just the right distance from the tracks for it to be charming. There is a brand new TV in the living room, with a DirecTV package, and a DVD player. The inside of the cottage has a very rustic feel to it. Everything is completely new, but was carefully crafted to feel very comfortable and unique. The property sits at a convenient location to get to, with only a 10 minute drive to nearly everything you could need to do.

Quiet, excellent star viewing, variety of birds, restful. A train comes by about twice a day. Not far from Luray. Not great internet. House is cozy and comfortable

Loved the hot tub great way to end the day after exploring Skyline Drive! Very close to everything we wanted to do. It has a beautiful Mountain View from the front porch.

Loved our stay at Old Mine Cabin. Adorable home with a fabulous view. The train startled us at first and by the end of the trip it was what we would miss the most. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were comfy. The fireflies were enchanting each evening. Proximity to the Shenandoah National Park was perfect for daily trail hikes. As well as a 10 min trip into town for groceries or dinner out. Luray Cavern was breathtaking do not miss!

What a delightful property for a well-needed peace and quiet getaway! We enjoyed bird-watching on the spacious porch, along with the hot tub for stargazing. The house is neat, clean and welcoming.

The cabin is as described in the listing. We had a wonderful stay. Communication was minimal, but everything seemed to be in order. This house was in an ideal location for us, close to the park and close to Luray. Would definitely stay again.

We had a great stay! The house was super clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. We especially loved relaxing by the fire pit and in the hot tub after exploring nearby Skyline Drive. Would definitely stay here again!

The cabin was so cozy! Everything was clean and in great condition. We loved the silence, and the birds were fabulous - an owl, bluebirds, and hawks. The hot tub was the perfect place to view the stars! Definitely would love to visit again!

House was as described and very clean. Communication with Gerald and Klye was very easy and prompt and sitting in the hot tub and watching the sun go down behind the mountains was unforgettable. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Extended stay for rest and relaxation

After several weeks of camping in the cold and rain, we looked forward to a quiet and comfortable stay and we found it on Old Mine Road.

What an amazing little house. We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very close to Shenandoah National Park and Luray Caverns. My children really enjoyed seeing the stars. It was so dark that it was easy to see the Milky Way.

Peaceful

A beautiful secluded house that has a magnificent view of mountains in the distance from the porch. The jacuzzi was sooo relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Perfect location to all sights. I would recommend to family and friends!

Loved everything about it. The train and hottub were a beautiful bonus to an already cozy place. Autism friendly atmosphere! Very calming. The location is perfect if you are looking for the peace and serenity of Virginia country living. Highly recommend!

We just love this cozy cabin! Tucked away on 10 acres (no neighbors in sight), yet close to all places of interest. Great place to bring your dog!

We have lived in Luray, VA our entire lives, and have always loved it here. 20 years ago after our home was paid for I bought our first monthly rental property on High Street in downtown Luray. It was a big investment, and lots of long nights after work were spent there to bring it into the condition I wanted, but it turned out great. A lot has changed since then, and 1 monthly rental property has turned into 32. Two years ago we decided to expand our horizons and move into more than just monthly rentals, which ultimately led to Old Mine Cottage. It took a two year process to get to today, but the result is a gorgeous property that is ready to be utilized. As we continue to grow in the business world we invite you to come and stay with us. Let us know how we did. We think you will be impressed.
