High End 2 Bedroom 2 Bath Condo - Walk to downtown

Many visitors want to be close to the action in downtown Gatlinburg and don't necessarily want to spend as much or need all that a cabin has to offer. But that doesn't mean you need to stay in a hotel room and lose out on all the benefits of a vacation rental. At Gatehouse 106 you will have a fireplace, terrace, large sitting area, full kitchen to prepare in condo meals and access to a seasonal outdoor pool. More importantly, Gatehouse is the most recently developed condo building that is walking distance to downtown. It's a newer building that is private, well maintained and quiet. so you have all the conveniences of being in Gatlinburg in a newer unit at cabin value pricing!

You will enjoy a gas fireplace, upgraded kitchen, seating for 4 in the great room and 2 private master suites with 2 full baths and upgraded bedding. Perhaps you want to relax on the stream-side terrace or maybe use the outdoor seasonal pool and spa.

Washer/dryer and cable TV is included for your convenience. FREE WIFI

** It is .6 mile walk to stoplight #3 downtown.

Free WIFI, a washer / dryer, iron and ironing board, and paved parking are included for your convenience. All linens and towels are provided as well as a starter supply of paper towels, toilet paper, soaps and detergents.

This cabin is professionally managed by Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals in Gatlinburg, TN. We provide concierge service as well as dispatched maintenance and housekeeping should you need assistance during your stay. Host requires the guest to sign a rental management agreement prior to allowing access to the unit. The agreement details our cancellation policy, terms and conditions. Must be 21 or older to reserve a cabin and person booking my be staying in the cabin.

We provide a starter supply of paper products, detergents and soaps and coffee filters. We do not supply shampoo, conditioner, body wash and there are not pantry items, spices, salt & pepper or coffee included - guests should bring these items.

Comfortable Economy Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit is in a nice location and the river with waterfall below the balcony was picturesque. We found the layout comfortable and it was a good price compared to us having a cabin or two hotel rooms. The unit could use a renovation for some stained carpeting, the bathroom and bed coverings. It was fairly clean, but some dust bunnies were left behind. We were disappointed by the lack of basic amenities like coffee & filters and toilet paper, which are common everywhere else we stay. Overall, we were happy here at this price point and would stay again, but with a few touch-ups it could be a premium rental.

Comfortable stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We visited Gatlinburg for the first time and stayed in condo 106. I will say it is a bit dated and the mattresses need to be replaced with better quality. There was no extra toilet paper, only what was on the rolls and no extra towels provided. Those items would have been nice. If you have mobility issues, you will have difficulty getting in and out of the shower/tub combos.

Nice condo, but falsely advertised

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything seemed great with the condo until we went to use the sofa bed for the evening. Trying to get the sofa bed out was extremely difficult and once we got it out we noticed that the frame had been zip tied together, making it unusable. We then tried to get the sofa bed back in and literally couldn't. We had to wait until maintenance got there around midnight for him to manhandle it back in place in order for us to even be able to use it. While waiting for maintenance to get there, we read through the journal and it was noted in June that the sofa bed was broken. So this unit had been falsely advertised since at least June. We would not have stayed in this unit had we known that, as it did not fit our party with only 2 beds. We asked if there was another unit they could move us to and they did not have anything. So someone in our group had to sleep on the couch the entire time, which was not the most comfortable experience. We asked for some form of compensation and the only thing they offered was a 15% discount, which didn't even cover the portion paid by the person that was stuck sleeping on the couch!

wonderful time

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time. The hiking and waterfalls were fantastic. Elk Springs are wonderful to work with. The building, unit and locations is what brings us back. The unit could use some TLC. New mattresses, fix the screen on the patio door and a new master bath sink faucet (drips a lot). Will definitely be back.

Nice view

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental was just the right size. The furniture was comfortable and it was just close enough to all the action. There were a few this that could have been better. The unit wasn't very clen. Yes, the floors were swept and things were tidy, but there was more. The walls were dirty, cobwebs thick in the bedroom window. The kitchen sinks had a yellowish crusty film. The worst was the black mold that came out of the jets of the whirlpool tube.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great stay. Our only recommendations would be to fix the icemaker, have coffee available, and stock extra toilet paper. We did have one incident the morning of departure, where the smoke alarm went off twice at 7:40 AM, while we were still sleeping, but resolved quickly.

Dirty Old Unit

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great but that was about it. When you walked in there was an old musty smell and the unit felt/looked dirty. The living room furniture and beds were not comfortable. The walls could have used a good coat of paint at least 10 years ago. The walls were very dirty with cobwebs and other stuff splattered throughout. The shower curtains were dirty. The unit looks to have had nothing updated in the past 25-30 years. With the thick layer of dust to go along with it on the lamps and decorations. The kitchen looked clean but we chose not to use it.

Clean great place but with some minor issues

The condo was as described and was clean and well organized. Appeared to have new carpet which caused the doors to drag and be stiff as they were not cut to adapt to the higher carpet. Had a small Maintenace issue that was handled quickly and easily. The view was awesome, and communication was on point. Now for the two downfalls we had. The furniture in the Living room was very uncomfortable as in hard when sitting on it and caused body ach if sat on for any extended amount of time. The water from the kitchen sink facet had an odor of mildew with small gnats coming from the drain but the water in the bathrooms was fine. Was just the kitchen. Overall, I would recommend it given you understand the downfalls we had and can accept.

Excellent condo in the middle of everything.

My last time to rent from Elk Springs Resort

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very disappointed in my stay!! I’ve rented from Elk Springs Resort for 5 years. Yes the jacuzzi was messed up but was quickly repaired ... BUT ... the fire place would only work a few times in 24 hrs. Then it was turned off.... The pilot light was gone.... I paid good money for the condo ... never had this to happen in the other 4 years. I sure did not know the fireplace was monitored..... just ridiculous!!!

We have stayed at Elk Springs 4 times
