Awesome trip

The property was exactly as advertised: spacious, well equipped, beautiful. Awesome huge heated pool. Beautiful location on the beach- incredible view! Well equipped kitchens. Excellent outdoor furnishings on balcony. The property has incredible privacy given it's location. Easy drive (1hr 45 min) to Key West. Great local restaurants. My husband and I stayed with my two sisters and their husbands. We brought our two small dogs and they had a blast. Would love to come here again!

Amazing! Family hated to leave!

Property is private and beautiful. Every possible amenity is included - even paddle boards and kayaks. Private beach, heated pool right on the beach. Family felt like they were in their own private paradise. Excellent location near all the best restaurants in Islamorada. Not far from Sombrero Beach and Bahia Honda - two great beaches. Super comfortable. We asked for a Christmas tree as we were staying over Christmas and they decorated the entire house, upstairs and down. Could not have been nicer to us.

Great stay

We had a wonderful time hanging out on the beach and in the pool. Our boys loved the paddle boards and kayaks and the air hockey table. We couldn’t recommend this property more.

Perfect family spot

The house is great for a family. The kitchen has everything you need. There are some things that could use an upgrade or fix, such as the shower heads, a couple doorknobs, dusty cabinets, and other finishes. However, none of that detracted from what this property has to offer. The incredible heated pool gave our family the best memories. The air hockey, foosball table and pac man game was a fun surprise. Loved the fire tables and really appreciated the extra propane tanks left in the shed. The beach is also incredible. The seagrass was a lot when we were there, but that didn't stop us from playing in the sand. We had a couple things we needed the property manager for and he replied to texts super fast and showed up, or sent someone, to correct the small issues we had right away. The area is also great with many restaurants and stuff to do within 10-15 minute drive. Highly recommend this property.

The Keys Vacation

This home had everything we needed for a great Keys vacation. Private beach, large pool, kayaks, paddle boards, proximity to excursions (fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving) and dining options. The house is large with all kinds of appliances, grills, indoor and outdoor seating. We had a great time here and can’t wait until our next family vacation.

Fantastic Time!

All aspects of the home were top quality including furnishings, appliances, comfort, accessibility, multiple doors to decks, pool full access, beach access, highway access, local restaurants nearby, travel to any and all attractions (boat and dive shops), and everything we needed! House on the beach

Good location, close to stores, shopping and restaurants. Gorgeous pool which was enjoyed by all. Plenty of room for 4 couples. Some issues with lighting and the stove. Owner attentive to concerns.

Family get away

Family Vacation in Paradise

This vrbo has it all with spectacular views on your own private beach! We were a family of 8 who had plenty of room, comfy beds, stocked kitchens, lots of outdoor furniture, heated pool, and gorgeous views! You arrive to your own gated home with instant views of your private beach area, heated swimming pool, lots of lounge chairs and tables with chairs. You have a fire table next to the pool that offers an amazing place to sit with a drink and soak it all in. There are paddle boards, kayaks, pool floats and sand toys already there for your use along with a volleyball net on the beach. The downstairs apartment is separate from upstairs with it's own separate entrance. My husband and I did not mind because we were there with our adult children & grandkids and enjoyed our own area. It has a bedroom with king bed & bathroom, living room, kitchen, 2nd bathroom, and game tables such as Pacman, foosball, and air hockey. It has beautiful views of the beach and ocean. Upstairs has 3 bedrooms (one has a king bed and the other 2 have 2 beds), 2 bathrooms, large stocked kitchen, living room, and large dining area. It has a wonderful wrap around porch with comfy furniture & grill and offers those same gorgeous views of the ocean inside and out. My 1 piece of advice is to read about Sargassum (has nothing to do with the house or owner, but good to learn about) The owner, Ellen, is great at communication and quick to respond! The area is fun with great restaurants & activities!

Absolutely Fantastic

Amazing is the best word to describe our stay at this home. Lisa has really thought of everything that could possibly be wanted or used while at the home for vacation. The house was exceptionally clean upon check-in; the appliances are updated and work very well. The location is 2nd to none in the Keys, close to many restaurants, marinas, and grocery stores in Islamorada. Top-notch all around, we will definitely be staying here again. Thank you, Lisa, for making our vacation one that will be talked about for years to come.

Paradise

This property was perfect for our family of 5 adults! Vieww were fabulous! So nice to have a private beach. We spent many hours at the beach and pool. We had the great opportunity to witness where a turtle came ashore to lay her eggs. We brought our boat down and docked it at close by Caloosa Cove Marina. The home was very nice and we had lots of room outside and inside to relax or group together. I would highly recommend this property. Lisa was very friendly and accommodating to us. We will be back for another vacation!

Christmas Break

Great location! Beds were comfortable. Pool is huge. The house has too many issues to get 5 stars. Dirty and sticking doors and dirty under beds, chaotic kitchen, leaking ceilings, patched but unpainted walls . House needs to be edited and organized. Not user friendly. Lots of poor quality, unusable items cluttering up the inside and outside.

Wonderful in every way!

We absolutely loved every minute of our stay! It was like our own resort- beach, pool, tons of pool rafts and toys, hot tub, kayaks, paddle boards, wireless speaker, multiple sitting areas, sand castle toys, etc. The pics did not do it justice- many updates that were not listed. All the beds and furniture was comfortable and all smart TVs. Lastly, there is every kitchen appliance you could ever ask for. Lisa was great to work with and very responsive. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We cannot wait to go back!!

Home away from Home

This was our first time using a vacation rental site and it was great! Lisa was extremely easy to work with. Her beautiful home, the location, and the views could not be matched. We had a wonderful and relaxing time. She has all the amenities you could want and it’s just like living in your own home. The location is very close to some fantastic restaurants and great entertainment venues as well. I would definitely recommend this as a vacation rental for both families or a group of friends. The house is very spacious. Lisa’s home is very popular and her weeks fill up quickly. After spending time there I can see why!

Best vacation

The house is absolutely wonderful!! The listing is very accurate. We enjoyed the beach and having our own private sand bar! The pool was just as it was advertised, but the hot tub had been removed. That wasn’t an issue for us. The house actually is better than the pictures appear. The only hiccup we had was that the guests before us were inconsiderate and stayed two hours past checkout. Therefore, the cleaners could not complete the house until around 6:00. That was disappointing, but the rest of our week was perfect!!! We would definitely love to stay again!!

Best Family Vacation Ever

My wife and our 3 children (21(f), 20(m) and 17(m)) enjoyed our stay. Lisa was a great host. She greeted us upon check in and checked on us throughout our stay. The accommodations were great and the location was tremendous. We enjoyed hanging around the pool (heated), taking in the sun and our afternoon sand volleyball "game". The owner even provides a huge bluetooth speaker that we used to listen to music all day long while hanging outside. The hot tub was a nice way to enjoy the cooler evenings. Our boys loved to use the 2 Stand Up Paddle boards; they made several trips out each day. There are also 2 kayaks that we all used several times each day. The kitchens were very well equipped. Christmas morning sunrise from the upper deck was spectacular. I would highly recommend this house for anyone looking for a laid back Keys vacation; close enough to what you need but secluded enough to just chill.

Great home for a family getaway

This is a very nice home with all of the amenities. The VRBO listing indicated that the house has three Queen beds and one King bed, but I am pretty sure it has 2 Queens and 2 Kings. Two of the upper bed rooms share a bath, but that’s pretty normal. There are two kitchens and two living areas as well as great gathering areas outside. Both of the kitchens are fully stocked with dishes, drink ware, pots and pans, utensils, coffee makers, etc. There were two nice grills outside, but we didn’t use them. A very nice pool and a beach for the back yard. It appears that the whole downstairs has been redone in the past few years, as it is more updated than the upstairs. There is a stacked washer and dryer in the downstairs suite, which worked great. The only thing that we found a bit strange was that the downstairs bathroom doesn’t connect with the bedroom. You have to walk through the den/kitchen to access it from the bedroom. It has a door to the outside, so you can go in without tracking sand across the house.

Look Elsewhere - Bad Property Management and Communication

Stay clear of this rental and property owner. Unfortunately, this listing is inaccurate and the place is neglected. A hot tub was mentioned but it was not working. Also, the place itself appears to have not been serviced in a long time. The outside showers and spigots are only half-working, the pool fountain doesn’t work, the upstairs fridge was broke (though this was replaced halfway through our trip), the main door was stiff and had to be closed with force, the beach itself was a mess with a ton of garbage everywhere, the outside fireplace didn’t work, the door knob handle slipped right off the door when I went to turn it, the hand soaps were empty, wash cloths were missing, and to make matters worse the cleaning crew was there until 8 pm at night and check-in was at 3 pm. The place itself is pretty nice otherwise and the pool was pretty decent, however, when we explained the problems to Lisa (the owner of the property), she acted like everything was out of her control. She was very difficult to communicate with. When I saw her in person to say “hi” she didn’t even reply back to me. This place needs some serious work to get it back in shape. If you are considering renting this place don’t expect everything listed to be accurate and don’t expect Lisa to fix your problems if you have any. Personally, for the price, I would have booked a different place. I don’t mind spending money for a place like this if it is advertised correctly or if there was a property manager or owner who took customer complaints seriously but this is not the place for five start service or amenities. Lisa is barely keeping this property afloat and needs to step up her game big time if she wants to continuing renting this place out.

Perfect location, fantastic views with Several unfortunate circumstances and poor communication

My family spent 8 days there for my sisters 40th birthday. We all loved the location, the view is spectacular and the house is beautiful & modern. The day we arrived 3:09pm the cleaning lady was still cleaning the downstairs. I cloroxed the 2 outside tables because there were crumbs all over the tables. The downstairs refrigerator did not work the entire time of our stay, we had to buy ice every day and a cooler. Uncontrollable was the weather we were there for a cold front but still spent the majority of our time outside. The pool was not heated however it had a sign on on the property saying DO not turn the pool heater on. I texted, called left voicemails and nothing from Lisa- her brother in law showed up and said the heater needs to be serviced. Then I get a text from Lisa regarding the pool. Communication with Lisa was very frustrating and difficult to get a hold of her. First day she was great after that we left multiple msgs about refrigerator and pool with minimal or no response. The go to book in the living room about the property is a mess and has OLD contact information. I even tried contacting the so called property manager and he actually answered and texted back stating you got the wrong person! On Saturday my parents were greeted in the pool by Lisa who told them they had to leave. Not in a nice way either!! It her property she can come to the house at any time but the way she handled it was very unprofessional. The refrigerator was serviced 2X they added frion but that did not work. We had to keep beverages and food upstairs. The upstairs table and kitchen counter have little bugs so we didn't eat at the table we had to eat outside. My daughter unfortunately left her bag with her school ipad at the house- again very hard to get a response from Lisa and as of today we still have not received the Ipad when she said she was going to mail it back to us. Bring bug spray since we spent most the time outside we got bit up my bugs. Seaweed is also uncontrollable- however the neighbors landscapers came and cleaned theirs but at this property we had to clear a path to get to the ocean ourselves.

Five star paradise

First off, the location is amazing. You have your own private beach, large pool (heated if you pay extra) and top-notch house. Beach rentals are tough to come by in the Keys as this is a boaters paradise and real sandy beaches aren't plentyful. There are not many houses located on sandy beaches anywhere in Keys that are for rent. This house, however, has the best of everything. It is located close to sport fishing, restaurants and of course, your very own beach. The house itself is two levels. The top and bottom are rented as one, but have seperate entrances which was fine because thats where we sent the teens to hangout. Both kitchens had everything, the bedrooms had great beds, pillows and super fluffy towels for the bathrooms and to use on the beach. No concerns at all with appointments as this house has everything you need. There are plenty of pool toys and floaties as well. The property comes with two single-person kayaks and two paddle boards with life jackets. Lisa, our hostess was great and addressed all our needs quickly. She has been doing this a long time and has thus, accumulated a great wealth of knowledge as to what the renter needs. At last count, I counted seating for 48 people around the property on various decks, pool seating, beach seating and grill area seating. Concerns: Some have talked of road noise. Yes, this property is located right off of Hwy1 but a brick wall and a 45 mph speed limit cut the noise down quite a bit. With the A/C on and another small fan I purchased for our room eliminated the noise almost completely. Never an issue. We paid for the pool heat, but because of faulty maintenance, we didn't get to enjoy the pool until the end of the second day which is when we finally got the propane tanks to use on the grill and outdoor fireplace. Again, these are small issues compared to the magnitude of how beautiful the surroundings are but I feel to be truly a five-star property, these need to be ready to go for each new renter on day-one. I do have to credit Lisa though, she tried her best to get everything done and handled as quickly as possible. She arranged for the AC guy, pool guy and landscaping to handle all of our concerns ASAP. Seawead: Yes, more than likely you may have some, at least most times of the year. South winds bring it in and North winds take it out to sea to reveal the pristine, warm shallow waters. The wind direction will determine water clarity. We will return!
