The guesthouse is a nice, spacious upstairs apartment in newly built home on a quiet back country road surrounded by fields & forest. We are located in the heart of Amish country in Lancaster County away from the hustle and bustle, where you will hear the sound of horse and buggies. There is a one room school house a short walk up the road. You can watch the school children walking to school every morning while school is in session.
You will enter the front entrance into private foyer to upstairs. It is a private area on the second floor with two bedrooms, a queen bed in each. The sitting area includes 2 full sofas, one folds down to a bed. Also a dormer with a single sofa bed. The kitchen is made with old barn wood from the family farm. It includes an apartment sized fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, electric skillet, a table which seats 6 people.
A large flatscreen TV is in the sitting area. It is not connected to cable TV but is connected to the WIFI giving you access to many of the popular streaming sites. You will need to provide your own login credentials for subscription based streaming platforms.
The entrance has a keypad for easy come and go without needing a key.
This will be a wonderful home away from home to stay and relax and see the sights.
You may also enjoy the outdoor pavilion with picnic table and chairs to relax. A grill will be provided if you need one.

Excellent

The perfect stay- a new home set among farms and beautiful open spaces. The apartment is clean as can be and the communication with the host was excellent. A great place to stay to experience this part of PA. 10 out of 10 recommend!

Wonderful Hosts!

Upon our arrival, we were kindly greeted and welcomed by the property hosts. We were surprised with fresh baked chocolate chip cookies waiting for us on the kitchen counter of the rental apartment! This home is in the perfect location for a peaceful and relaxing stay in Amish country. The home is spacious, clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. It is the perfect rental for a girls' trip or a family trip! The property hosts respected our privacy throughout our trip but made a point to approach us for a friendly goodbye upon our departure. We enjoyed getting to know the hosts and appreciated their kindness and hospitality. We would recommend this rental to anyone and hope to book it again the next time we plan a girls' family trip!!

Great getaway

We stayed here for 5 days while attending a health conference near Lancaster. This was a really nice and peaceful place to return to after very long days. Everything is as described. Caroline was very responsive and was gracious to allow us late check out.

Absolutely lovely

The setting is lovely--right in the middle of farm country but just minutes away from all our favorite Lancaster stores. The apartment was so neat and clean. The hosts are great people. We hope to go back again.

Peaceful, Lovely Retreat

The property was lovely, comfortable, and peaceful. The owners were kind, informative and even had tasty cookies waiting in the kitchen area!!! The location met our needs for visiting family and friends along with catching great walks and some meals.

Rural retreat

A quiet, upstairs, 2 bedroom apartment a wee bit out of town. It suited us perfectly. At one stage there was the clip clop of horse's hooves as an Amish wagon went by.

Labor Day getaway

We had a great getaway to this beautiful home. Hospitality was terrific, apartment was quiet, clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for all our ventures within Lancaster County. We will definitely return.

Hideaway

The pictures for this property does no justice to the beauty and peacefulness of the property. The indoor as well as outdoor is just what tired minds need. The outdoor is great for family activities yet peaceful enough to fall asleep in the Adirondack chairs by the fire pit. It indoor was clean, orderly with the right amount of home comfort to feel right at time. We're looking forward to coming again!!! would wxpect

Charming apartment in Lancaster County

The apartment was very cozy and clean. We felt welcome on arrival. Close to everything that we needed in a few minutes drive. Charlotte was very accommodating in our communication. We will definitely be staying again in the future.

A Beautiful Home in the Country with an Excellent Host

The property is a beautiful 2 bedroom, one bath apartment in the upstairs of a new home. Everything is immaculate with comfortable beds and a small kitchen with a fridge, freezer, toaster oven and microwave. The bathroom is fairly large with a tub/shower and a washer and dryer in the closet. Everything you need for your stay is included. The home is located right in the middle of Amish farm country with fields, barns and even an Amish school in the area. A great place to take a walk after eating too much in Lancaster! Charlotte is wonderful as a host. The booking process was easy and she welcomed us like family, with some home baked cookies and great communications via the VRBO app and several times during our stay in person. We’ll definitely be back the next time we come to the Lancaster area.

Anfitrión: Charlotte Wenger

As Mennonites, we have lived all but two years of our married life, and raised our four children on the farm, 42 years. Just this past year we built a new house up the road and daughter, son-in-law & 6 children moved on the farm. Elvin will continue to work on the farm with the family. We have been blessed with 4 children, all married and now have 25 grandchildren. Two of our daughters live close by, another daughter lives in Indiana where her husband is administrator of Elnora Bible Institute and our son lives in Alaska working in mission aviation for MARC (mission aviation repair center). We are so thankful to have the farm stay in the family.

Sight & Sound is 30 min. away where you can see the Bible come alive with professional actors. Also have outlet shopping about half hour away.
