Covepoint is the perfect lake rental. Renovated and freshly decorated in “pottery barn” style furnishings, high-end comfy mattresses and fast WIFI! Lake location is perfect with a flat lot for easy lake access, outstanding views plus a perfect swimming cove. Great amenities -2 refrigerators, Water Slide, Ping-pong, 2 kayaks, pickleball & tennis, basketball court and badminton! SEE Drone VIDEO in pics. Rental is strictly limited to 8 guests.

Covepoint sits far from the road on flat lot with over 240 feet of shoreline wrapping both main channel and quiet swimming cove. Grill and dine on the expansive deck that wraps half of the house with gorgeous views of both main channel and serene cove. Spend your days on the deep-water dock lounging on large sofa while taking in arguably the best views of the lake, park and mountain, or swimming or sunbathing from the dock. Cap your perfect days with a campfire around the firepit or a game of ping-pong.

By Bedford County rental laws, occupancy limited to 8 adults (defined as over the age of 2 years). That is, only children age 2 or younger do not count in the total. You may book using the "Book-it" feature and pay by credit card or check. You must be at least 26 years of age to rent. No Pets allowed.

Awesome location on the lake! The home was clean and very kid-friendly for my grandkids. The owner was so very kind and offered use of her personal dock since the water was too low for use of the rental docks for boating or swimming. Gorgeous views on the main channel for coffee or cocktails on the dock.NOTE: The ice cream boat goes right by 8pm but you need noodles to wave at him so he can see you on the dock!

Great property and perfect location!

This is a wonderful property with lots of extras that make it really special. Loved the basketball hoop in basement! The sunset from the nicely furnished dock is beautiful. Would definitely stay again!

The house was exactly as listed in the property details. Great location on the lake and the house was a perfect set up for a girls weekend trip at the lake! Steph was very responsive when we had questions for her. Would 10/10 stay here again.

Amazing lake home

Our family had an amazing stay at Covepoint! The home was beautifully decorated and provided all the comforts of home. There was space and activities for all ages to enjoy! The covered dock was amazing and where we spent most of our time relaxing while the kids used the water slide and swam in the lake. We will definitely be back!

This house exceeded every expectation for a two-family getaway. Everything was spotless on arrival, and the owner had labeled cabinets, drawers, and closets so thoroughly that we found what we needed within minutes of walking in. Space was never an issue: eight of us across two families spread out comfortably with room left over.The setting outside made the trip. Two docks gave us plenty of water access, and the wraparound deck offered enough seating that anyone could grab a coffee and watch the lake without competing for a spot. The owner let us use the kayaks and paddle boards, which the kids especially loved. The grill ran hot and cooked evenly, and we put it to good use with several big family meals followed by games on the deck.The owner communicated everything we needed through VRBO's messaging before check-in, and we arrived fully informed with no questions left hanging. That upfront prep meant we never had to reach out once we were there and could just enjoy the stay. The house felt like staying in someone's well-loved home rather than a generic rental, and that difference showed in every detail. We'd book again without hesitation.

Perfect location and views

We have been visiting the lake for 10 years and have seen many houses. There aren't many with better dock views. The Host is great at communicating and their being nearby is helpful should any issue arise.

Perfect As Usual

This was the second year staying here and it was just as consistent as the last! The property owner is on top of her game and is easy to get a hold of if need be. The house is always clean and ready to go. The location is perfect and such an easy walk down to the lake! Can't wait to go back next year!

Perfect Fall Getaway

We had a fantastic weekend at Covepoint! We enjoyed the kayaks and relaxing on the dock most of the day. The kids loved the floating slide. House was perfect! Plenty of room, clean, great views! We would definitely stay there again if we come back to the area!

Week on the Lake

Wonderful week with my family. Super easy registration and checkout process. Communication with owner was seamless and quick. Docked my boat for the week and had easy access to some excellent fishing on SML. I can’t recommend Cove Point enough. We found home on SML.

Amazing

What a wonderful property with everything you could need to have a great time! Clean and spacious, with a great view and all around wonderful atmosphere for a family who needs an easy walk to the lake. "The hostess with the mostest" was available for easy communication throughout the entire stay.

Great Lake Get Away

Awesome location on a beautiful lake. House was clean and a great set-up for 2 families. Everything was just as described. The owner was very responsive to questions we had before the trip. We were able to dock our boat rental and our college-aged kids loved kayaking and swimming in the cove. We had a great week!

A new family favorite!

This was our first time visiting SML - can't beat this home's location. On the water, spacious and very clean! The owner, Stephanie is very communicative and ensures you have all the essentials. We have rented many homes on VRBO - this is a new family favorite. We will be returning!

Smith Mountain Lake Vacation

We had a wonderful stay at this property from 8/10-8/17. Stephanie was a terrific host and was easy to communicate with during the week. The house was terrific with plenty of space for all eight of us. The extra’s provided with the stay(kayaks, ping pong, house with everything one would need)were great. I would highly recommend this property to anyone and we look forward to another visit in the future.

Our family has been coming to the Smith Mountain Lake since 2000 and purchased our family vacation home at the lake in 2006 which is next door to Covepoint. We have four children who have grown up spending summers as well as fall and winter weekends at SML. We host a large family reunion at the lake every summer. We love the lake's deep clean water, water sports, excellent fishing and get away peacefulness. Mostly, we love sharing the lake with others. Covepoint was purchased as a rental and is owned by Covepoint LLC and managed by my husband and me. We have stocked the house with great amenities and everything you need so you can enjoy your vacation. We want our guests to have a 5 star experience! Photo is of our daughter wake-boarding.

It offers wonderful cove swimming, easy lake access on the flat lot and sweeping views of Smith Mountain and the natural wilderness of the State Park. It is also close to grocery and Bridgewater Marina.

Covepoint is a large flat lot at a perfect location on the lake. It is close to the SML State Park with its trails, boat rentals, and beach and the views from the dock include the natural wilderness of the park. It is only 15 minutes by boat or car to all the nightlife, dining, shopping, and boat rentals at the main Bridgewater Marina, only 10 minutes to the grocery, around the corner by water from Virginia Dare marina and Virgil Naff Sea Doo rentals, and is a unique property in that it provides sweeping main channel views and deep water on one side and a serene cove on the other! The property has two docks! Covepoint provides several hangout areas with comfy dock conversational seating for 8, sunporch, family room, expansive deck, ping-pong area, firepit and expansive game/TV room perfect for kids of all ages. Adults can relax upstairs while kids have their own area downstairs! There is also a neighborhood boat launch, tennis court pickleball (racquets included) and basketball court.
