Kona Makai 3-203 is a beautifully appointed 2nd floor condo with a partial ocean view. This condo is fully equipped with everything you may need for your Vacation! Your own private Wifi network available for use as well! Air Conditioning is in the bedroom & living room for your comfort! Cal-King sized bed in the bedroom. The bathroom has been remodeled, complete with a wonderful walk in shower!
Building 3 is especially great because of the positioning of the 2nd private lanai. It's much cooler than any other building in the complex!

The Kona Makai is a beautiful, sunny, highly sought after Ocean Front Complex located on famous Alii Drive just 1.3 miles from Kailua Village. The Kona Makai features include lush tropical gardens, ocean front pool and spa, sunny lounge area, 2 work out rooms, eating area w/ gas BBQ’s, tennis courts, covered parking, free wireless internet, cable TV and is gated during the night for security.

There was a nice garden and ocean view from the lanai with beautiful sunsets. We walked into town several times to browse and shop. We would definitely stay here again.

Just perfect

L appartement est tout à fait conforme à la description. Il est propre, très bien agencé et très bien équipé. Lave linge et sèche linge dans l'appartmenet, siège de plage, glacière, tout était a disposition. Le lit était très confortable. La terrasse permet de prendre son petit déjeuner avec une vue mer. L'emplacement est idéal pour la visite de l'ile.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We absolutely love Kona Makai. This was a last-minute trip, and we usually try to book ocean front but found this little gem available. You could totally see the water and the amazing sunsets from the lanai. A little 30 second walk to the ocean front if you preferred to see it from there. The room was INCREDIBLE, and the property is immaculate. The remodel was stellar - honestly this was one of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in across all our trips to Hawaii. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would definitely recommend this room to friends and family if looking for a room that is less pricey than a true oceanfront. Also need to give 5 plus stars to Knutson and Team - we have booked with them multiple times and the service and check in is top notch! They really want your stay to be perfect! Mahalo for being part of an amazing week for us!

Great stay

We really enjoyed our stay in Kona and enjoyed our accommodations. The condo was clean well stocked and would love the location and pool. The managers were renters anxious to have us happy and we’re easy to get hold of if we need anything. We would stay here again

The area is quiet, clean and close to the shore.The condo was large for our family of 3, and we had all the needed tools, more than enough actually.Loved enjoying the breakfast on the large balcony, BBQing at the shore, using the very clean pool.I can only recommend this place, if you’re looking for somewhere to stay with quiet, close to nice sandy beaches, close to the center of Kailua, and so well equipped.

Now we are expected to do almost all cleaning. Wipe down glass tables etc. fridge stove etc. Remove all garbage and bottles. No definition for what is "Too Much " for housekeeper. Insulting to consumers who pay inflated cleaning fees. AS A CONSUMER- I expect furniture to be sanitized, free of debris, stains on cloth furniture and cushion covers, rugs cleaned of stains, shower curtain washed and no food behind stove, dryer vent cleaned and wall stains from insects removed. Great Quiet Spot

This was the perfect place for my husband and I to spend 6 days on the Big Island. We loved being close to downtown and all the restaurants and in a spot that had its own coastline access, pool, and hot tub. The place was super clean and the kitchen tools and beach gear was excellent. We also appreciated having plenty of parking and a gate at night for added security. We would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a great place in Kona!

Book it!

I was impressed with everything about this place. It is kept immaculate inside and out. The pool is warmer than most and the hot tub hits the spot. The grill and chill area right on the rocky beach is pretty epic. When I booked this place my only qualm was the carpet in the photos but that’s since been removed. Book it! Mahalo!

The racket broke to peace and quiet of sitting on our lanai. We had no warning and no offer of adjustments. Otherwise quite nice.

Two weeks Kona vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our experience started on the wrong footing when we first step into the condo. I had to make calls to the manager immediately requesting assistance. The manager was great in responding to our calls. All the issues were remedied by the next day. The unit was very nice with great view of the ocean from the lanai. We ate most of our meals there. The kitchen was a bit tight. Otherwise the rest of the unit was quite comfortable. AC units worked great. Didn't have to run it very long to cool down the entire unit. The water pressure in the shower was good. We enjoyed the condo and the grounds were well kept. Very pleasant stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved this vacation rental, because it was very quiet situated, had a wonderful garden, was large and well equipped. The management was helpful. But the booking could be done easier, as we experienced in other similar condos: less mails (we got all twice from Knudson and ), some several times, a signment of a rental agreement we had in no other case and this was stressful for us, the download of an extra app we think is not necessary, a mail with the entrance codes one or two days before would be satisfying.
