Located just outside the heart of Kailua- Kona, this ocean front condo is your ticket to paradise! Just minutes from town, a short walk will take you to some of the finest dining and shopping destinations on the Big Island. Our modern, updated condo serves as the perfect home away from home, allowing our guests to enjoy everything the Big Island has to offer.

After a full day of snorkeling, beach combing, hiking, volcano exploring or just relaxing in the sun, return home to kick back and relax on the private lanai with a full ocean front view. Watch sea turtles swim in the tide pools below or see humpback whales and dolphins frolic in the ocean as the sun dips into the sea, creating breathtaking sunsets.

The unit is air conditioned throughout, with separate zone controls for the living room and bedroom. With a lanai that directly overlooks the ocean, you need not be concerned about noise from the pool and cabana area. The only sound you’ll hear is the waves as they crash against the expansive reef. Our top floor location also ensures the utmost privacy and security for the lanai area.

We have taken care to provide a variety of recreational items for your use and enjoyment including:

Need a break from your vacation? The complex is adjacent to Honl's beach and our unit comes with a fully equipped kitchen, access to popular streaming services, with BBQ grills, a pool and hot tub on site. A washer and dryer is provided for your convenience.

Our condo is ideal for a romantic getaway for two, though the sleeper sofa will allow up to four guests. The bathroom has a walk-in shower with no bathtub, so the unit may not be suitable for families with very young children that require a tub for bathing.

There is an elevator on site, but a set of stairs must be navigated to reach units on the top floor, so it may not be suitable for guests with accessibility concerns. No smoking and no pets allowed.

Condo in a great location

Nothing beats the location of this condo, just a short walk to downtown Kona. Condo was very clean and the check in/out process was extremely easy. Tisha is a very responsive host, I had to reach out to her on Thanksgiving day and she responded within a couple minutes!

Amazing!!

We were so amazed at how great their condo was! Everything was excellent and you really felt welcome! Amazing closet full of beach chairs and umbrella and snorkel equipment and everything you needed including towels! Kitchen had everything you could possibly want and need! Clean! But the view!!! You are right there on the ocean!! Run do not walk to book!!! We appreciated all their amenities!

Perfect stay at Kona Reef

Beautiful updated comfortable condo. The view from the lanai was awesome. Walkable to restaurants and shops. Had everything we needed during our stay including beach gear and snorkel equipment. We hope to return soon!

Perfect place in Kailua Kona

Loved the condo. We've stayed 5 times at the Kona Reef but different units. This unit was awesome. Great views right on the ocean, updated bathroom, double A/C unit with one in the bedroom was game changer. Great communication with the owner. Batteries were going out on the lick, within hours we had someone coming and change the batteries. Very highly recom.end.

Perfection

This was one of the most beautiful places we have stayed in Kona! Everything about this unit is spectacular, from the moment you walk in and hear the crashing waves right outside the lanai you are transformed to paradise. Parking is super easy, the check-in process was one of the smoothest, and the amenities within the condo are extraordinary. I cannot imagine a better view, or a better location. Thank you for sharing your beautiful oasis with us!

Wonderful Spot for a Stay in Kona

My wife and I were here for a long-awaited second honeymoon. The place was perfect. The hosts communicated very well. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable and gave us freedom to do our own cooking and even laundry as needed. The bed was soft and the living room furniture comfy. The AC was a godsend in the Kona humidity, the shower head was perfect in terms of pressure and the WiFi worked well. The pool area was clean and the pool always seemed to be just a degree or two on the cool side, which I love. Parking was convenient, easy and felt safe. But, the star of the show was the view. The sunset was appointment viewing each night and drew crowds of Kona Reef guests to the rocks that line the shore. The sound of the waves crashing in the morning and evening was amazing and going outside to see the surfers, parasailers, fishing boats and canoes go back and forth was fun. We even saw crabs on the rocks and yellow and black fish in the little cove in front of the complex every morning. The icing on the cake was that the price is competitive or better than resorts we have stayed at on the big island and the room and view was much better. A couple of tips while in the Kona area: Spend a day at Spencer Beach using the beach chairs, umbrella and cooler the hosts put in the closet, have a steak or fish meal at Huggo’s and check out the Big Island in a Day tour from Wasabi Tours.(See if you can ask for Felix as your guide).

Lovely view and great location

We had great week, staying in Kona for the Queen’s Race. The property is close to town and close to several great restaurants, but far enough away to avoid the crowds and traffic. The condo was clean and comfortable with lots of amenities. The pool area was lovely. We didn’t take advantage of the barbecue area but the grills were large, gas powered and clean. We had a minor concern with the smoke alarm chirping bu Tisha was right on it. Overall, it was a fabulous week!

Kona Stay

We really enjoyed our stay at this unit in the Kona Reef Resort. We enjoyed the great ocean view, A/C in the bedroom, and location close to Kona shops. Very nice to listen to the waves, either hanging out on the lanai or fall asleep to that sound at night. The kitchen is well stocked so we were able to cook in the unit and use the community grills. In unit washer/dryer was also nice. Highly recommend this unit.

Great view, great condo!

The unit is as advertised and the other reviews were spot on. We appreciated all the beach gear left in the unit for guests. The bed was very comfortable and the unit simple but very clean and cozy. Tisha answered every question or request within minutes. This was a great home base to comeback to after a day of exploration and beach time. We’ll be back!

Comfortable and relaxing

We had such a wonderful stay! The condo is clean and comfortable. We found the location to be so convenient to town and we walked there every day. And the VIEW! Breathtaking. We have already started planning our next trip!

In the Heart of Kona

What an amazing location and the view from the room was ocean, ocean and more ocean. We walked just about a block and were able to go to all the great restaurants and shops. Everything you could need was in the kitchen. The pool and jacuzzi was a special bonus for watching the sunsets.

Great location

Right on the ocean and close to town. Coffee pot quite working and the day it was replaced. Everything for the beach is there, We would stay there again.

Great Location

Pretty and convenient!

The location of this Vrbo was absolutely perfect. Close enough we could walk around to shop on Ali’i drive. And it was amazing to be right on the ocean front. I got so many cool shells just by walking to the backyard! The place was clean, smelled great, and the AC was amazing! Thank you for an amazing place to stay!

Very Nice Condo

The condo was as advertised, with a beach overlook, well-equipped with kitchen equipment (we cooked a lot so this was a big plus), and a nice selection of beach gear including chairs and towels. There was even some food in the pantry especially spices and condiments so we did not have to buy all those things ourselves. Convenient parking too. I would definitely come here again.

Paradise

The condo and resort was everything we were expecting and more! We would definitely stay here again! The view was nothing short of amazing and the condo was so comfortable. Coffee out on the lanai every morning was so relaxing. And speaking of coffee, the Keurig coffee maker was so appreciated! Thank you Tisha! This was a wonderful vacation and place to stay! So close to town and loved walking to the shops and restaurants. The closet full of beach stuff was an added bonus. The pool and resort grounds were beautiful. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality and allowing us to stay in your piece of paradise!

Beautiful condo that’s recently been fully renovated

Communication with the owner was first class and their fully updated condo made our stay very special. We have stayed at this complex a number of times in a number of different condos and I would not hesitate to stay here again. As far as location goes this is as good as it gets for easy walking distance to everything Kona has to offer. Being directly on the ocean offers one of the best spots within this complex. Also the unit is very well stocked with supplies.

Kona Reef

We had an amazing time at the Kona Reef in our ocean front unit. The views were spectacular! We enjoyed the sunset everyday from our lanai as well as watching for dolphins and whales. The unit was well decorated and stocked We especially liked the closet full of beach necessities such as chairs, cooler and umbrellas. The pool and BBQ area was wonderful and we hope to one day return and rent this beautiful unit again.

No other words for it - simply amazing

2 1/2 weeks spent in paradise! This condo is in a wonderful location, the communication with the owner and host was great and the view from the lanai was simply amazing. The bed was super comfortable, and sleeping to the sound of the surf was incredible. Pretty much everything we needed to 'live' here for a couple weeks was provided. We loved the spaciousness of the condo with no clutter. We spent most of our time on the lanai, enjoying the ever-changing surf and witnessing a beautiful sunset every night. We totally recommend this condo and we would love to come back some day. :)
