What I appreciated about our stay here was the care the owner took to ensure someone with physical challenges could navigate the space and enjoy their time. The design of the house is extremely thoughtful...the varying artwork and unique, eclectic design add to what makes the space "homely" and welcoming. My daughter and I appreciated its convenience to the beach (really a straight walk) and its proximity to the main boardwalk and other restaurants.

Amazing location and truly accessible!

The home is close to the beach and a quick drive to many activities, well decorated, clean and completely accessible! The accessible bathroom/shower is a definite highlight of the home. Great place to stay!

Excellent location!

This property is so close to everything! We enjoyed walking to dinners and the beach, and the lake is wonderful for evening walks. This was a great place to stay!

Great spot for family vacation

Great location close to beach and boardwalk area, extremely comfortable and whimsically decorated. Our family member who uses a wheelchair was able to access everything comfortably. Hope to return!

Great visit

My husband uses a wheelchair so this stay was perfect for Access and accessibility. We have friends who live in the area however their houses inaccessible to those with Mobility needs so this provided a great opportunity for us to have a place to stay while still touring around Carolina beach and Wilmington

Carolina getaway

The property was better than we could have expected. The amenities for disabled guests were above and beyond. All the little touches were exceptional. We very much enjoyed our stay.

My husband has MS and this was our first big trip. The place was gorgeous. Lorraine had it decorated so cute. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was so close to everything and my husband was overjoyed to be able to go to the beach with the beach wheelchair they provided. The tiled bathroom was not only beautiful but so convenient.

Enjoyed Carolina Beach

The rental was nice being only a couple blocks from the beach and boardwalk. We appreciated the host leaving a binder with ideas and places to go that were handicap accessible.

Great location, Perfect for those with mobility issues

This our 2nd stay on property. It's the perfect place to stay for my husband and I give his recent stroke. The property includes all the safety bars and space needed for wheelchair access. Property is always super clean and you can't beat the location to the beach and local restaurants.

Very relaxing

This house is amazing if you have family members that have trouble getting upstairs and into showers and bathrooms the artwork in the house was amazing and the cleanliness of the house was outstanding very comfortable house. Me and my family would stay here again.

This was such a great experience. The home owner had everything there to take care of my husband who is in a wheelchair. This was the first trip we have taken since my husband has been in a wheelchair. It was amazing!

Perfect Getaway

Lorraine has made this townhome a comfortable place to stay with a fun and whimsical atmosphere! My husband and I stayed here with our two special needs adult kids, one of whom uses a wheelchair. Lorraine's townhome was in every way how she described it. We look forward to future visits.

For once a place that exceeded our expectations! They said they were accessible and went above and beyond. This was a cozy eclectic home close to everything yet quite far enough away to sit on the porch and enjoy the beach vibe. Everything including beach access was just steps away.

Best listing EVER for travelers in wheelchairs

This adorable rental is eclectic yet elegant. Owner Lorraine, a peach, has created the ideal space for travelers in wheelchairs - an elevator, enormous tool-in shower with shower chair, a hospital bed & lift, wide hardwood floors, and more. Located on a beautiful street only 3 blocks from the beach & across the street from a lake it is in an ideal setting. Many activities and good restaurants nearby. We have never experienced better accommodation & accessibility in all of our travels. Cannot recommend this listing more highly.
