Bridge View Too! on Lake Michigan
This cabin has one of the most spectaculars views of the Straits of Mackinac and the Mackinac Bridge. It's peaceful and quiet and surrounded by nature.
This cozy and comfortable cabin exudes peace and tranquility. It is surrounded by natural beauty with breathtaking views of Lake Michigan, the Mackinac Bridge and Mackinac Island. The cottage is super clean and family friendly. This is one story with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. One bedroom has a queen size bed and the other has 2 sets of bunk beds. There is a spacious dining room and a well-equipped kitchen, a comfortable living space with lots of windows and superb views of Lake Michigan and the Mackinac Bridge. This lovely cottage is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood but a short walk to town. Mackinaw City has plenty of things to do from touring the nationally known fudge shops to nightly laser shows and music under the stars (in the summer months). Mackinaw City is also a great base camp for all of your up-north adventures. You can be on Mackinac Island in less than 20 minutes for a walk back in time. Plan on spending at least a day there enjoying this quaint Island. No motorized vehicles are allowed so travel is by foot, bike or horseback. There are plenty of great shops, galleries and wonderful restaurants to enjoy. Take an old fashioned carriage ride around the Island and hear the fascinating history of the area. Visit Fort Mackinac, tour the lighthouses and rent a bike for a great way to see the the Island.
Mackinaw City is easy driving distance to Harbor Springs, Charlevoix, Petoskey, Boyne Highlands, St. Ignace, Les Cheneaux Islands, Taquamenon Falls, Saulte St. Marie, Whitefish Point and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.
*We have opted to offer Damage Insurance at the cost of $55 for your stay in lieu of a refundable security deposit. It will be listed under fees as "Damage Insurance".
*WILDLIFE DISCLAIMER*
Coming to beautiful Northern Michigan includes the possibility of wildlife encounters. We have midges, spiders, mosquitos, occasionally black flies and an assortment of other insects. We spray regularly to keep them at a manageble level but we also don't want to damage the fragile ecosystem here. Note that where there is water, there will be spiders. They are very industrious and can build back a knocked down web within a day!
They are also great for controlling mosquitos and wasps, which we appreciate.
We treasure the wildness of the North and perhaps that is what attracts you.
Consider yourself lucky if you catch a glimpse of any of our other wild neighbors - black bear, wolves, deer, elk, coyote, fox, bobcats, porcupine, skunks, raccoons, eagles, hawks, squirrels, chipmunks and mice as well as a massive variety of birds.
We ask you to consider this before booking one of our cottages or cabins.
The presence of wildlife is part of the experience here and does not warrant a refund.
AMENITIES NOTES: Guests will need to provide their own sheets, pillowcases, towels and washcloths.
