Kat's Meow indeed! You get the best of all worlds. Located directly on the beach. You have privacy when you want it or enjoy the Gulf Shores Plantation Resort amenities including 5 outdoor pools, hot tubs, tennis, basketball, shuffle board, putting green, BBQ/picnic areas and much more. All within steps of this great location.

There is a public boat ramp on Bon Secour bay within a mile of the property for those who love to fish and crab. Hikers will love the easy access to the Bon Secour nature preserve. Golfers can enjoy Alabama's top rated Kiva Dunes golf course right next door as well as 5 other courses within a few miles. After a day of play , enjoy great dining and nightlife in nearby Gulf Shores and Fort Morgan.

This beautiful, five bedroom, four bath home has two large balconies facing the gulf. There are abundant windows for a perfect beach view in all south facing rooms. The huge master suite has it's own private balcony overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The sunsets are spectacular! The master on suite features a large, garden tub and new double walk in shower. All five bedrooms are well appointed with separate bathrooms and plenty of storage. This home can sleep up to 16 comfortably.
NEW 2020: We have added a large ground floor deck with charcoal BBQ grill. There is a prep / wash station with picnic table and bench seating for your outdoor grilling fun. We also added a second refrigerator for your food storage needs.
NEW 2021: The house has been completely rebuilt inside and out after hurricane Sally. The old kids nook is now a true 5th bedroom. New bunks and new bedding for both bunk rooms. And a funky, off center, porthole window.
NEW 2023: Large TV replaced in the living room. New washer and dryer. New kitchen utensils. New main balcony decking.
NEW 2024: We added a brand new outdoor shower with a great rain head shower. Both hot and cold water! New pillows and bedding. New kitchen utensils.
NEW 2025: We replaced the main refrigerator in the kitchen. And added a new easy chair in the living room.
NEW 2025: The resort has added four new pickleball courts!

Great Location

Located on the beach and close to outdoor amenities. Plenty of room for the family. Communication with owner is very timely. Not all of the tvs were set up to work. We were there the coldest week in February and did not have access to indoor amenities so had to rent a studio to get the indoor amenities.

Best trip ever

Sixteen of us stayed at Cat’s Meow for five nights (four days) over Thanksgiving. Adults were outnumbered 10 to 6, with children ages ranging from 6-16. The best thing about this house is that it is indeed ON THE BEACH as listed. Nothing but sand between the house and the water. The main living area provided views of the Gulf, and gorgeous sunrise and sunset views. We ate all meals at the house, using an extremely well stocked kitchen. There are plenty of plans, bowls, utensils and even two crock pots, which are not mentioned in the listing. The open kitchen/dining/living room area suited our group wonderfully. The lower storage area under the deck is very well stocked with beach toys and chairs (which are in perfect condition). The outdoor shower is amazing for rinsing off covered-with-sand kiddos. The washer and dryer was a blessing! The set up of the rooms wasn’t perfect for our group, but there is no way it can be for every individual group. We made it work. Our group used the indoor pool on a rainy day, but we had problems with the key card and were not able to use it a second time. Our host is looking into that issue, and I’m sure it is corrected already. We had no issues during our stay that required communication with our host. Everything was as stated. We thought this trip might be a once in a lifetime event, but everyone has agreed that it needs to happen again. Highly recommend this home and host.

Best house in Ft Morgan

Great house, plenty of room for our party of 7 adults and 3 little kiddos (under 2). Loved having the second fridge for beverages, plus a wine fridge! Right on the beach, next to the boardwalk and very close to a community pool. Would definitely rent here in the future.

Great Location

Easy access to a non crowded beach. Host is quickly responsive to any questions. My only recommendations would be to organize the closet with the beach gear. The gear ( chairs, umbrellas, canopies) are all broken or of poor quality. I would definitely stay again.

It was ok

At first glance, we loved it. As we started to settle, we started noticing things were not very clean. None of the rugs were vacuumed, the oven was dirty and smelled of old grease and there were dead bugs under the tables in the living room. Also, we had issues with the refrigerators not keeping our food cold enough. We had to throw milk away because it spoiled due to this issue. I did message the host but he made it seem like it was our fault, as if we don’t know how to properly operate a refrigerator. I think the problem is that it’s old and needs to be upgraded. I will say the location to the pool and beach was great, super convenient; but, if you like to shop or go out to eat, it’s quite a little drive. For this reason, we probably wouldn’t stay out that way again.

Family time!!

We have a blended family with large age variation. We all had plenty of space to gather and disperse. The house was well stocked with no real deficiencies. The proximity to the beach and the pools was the best! We have zero complaints! Mike was extremely responsive! We will return!!!

Best Vacation Rental!!

Our family of 13 had the best time at Kat's Meow! The location and house were perfect!! We loved everything about this place! The pool and boardwalk to the beach were so close and the house had everything you need for enjoying the beach! The views from the two balconies were amazing! I can't say enough good things about our stay. No one in our group had one complaint and it is definitely our favorite place we have ever stayed. We hope to have the opportunity to stay again!! Thanks to Mike and Kat for the amazing stay! We loved it!!

Fantastic vacation spot!

Such a great location!! Loved the view, loved the easy beach access, loved the pool, it was so fun! We go to the gulf shores every two years as a family vacation, and Ft. Morgan is awesome, to be away from the crowds and a beach that is not packed. We will definitely be returning!

Amazing House and Location!

Absolutely beautiful location right on the beach. House was huge and had plenty of room for our group of 15! Have been going on spring break on the Gulf Coast for 10 years and this was the best place we have ever stayed in!

Great Family Spring break stay

We had 3 families stay and enjoyed our time! There were 6 adults and 5 teens. A beautiful home right on the gulf. Plenty of space for us. Hard for the last one to have a hot shower when we all showered at the same time. A Beautiful property and would definitely come back! Thank you to our hosts!

Family Vacation

Had plenty of room for family. Great location with amenities. Overall clean but did have clothes items under two of the beds upon arrival. Trash pick up was suppose to be every other day but in 7 days only picked up once. Would recommend and stay again.

Family vacation

This property was set up well for an vacation with extended family. Lots of room to spread out and everyone had space. Lots to do at the resort for our teenagers. Great location and the sunsets from the porch were amazing!

Great house and location

The house was nice, lots of space for a large group. The deck and balconies were great. Amazing location and gorgeous views. Enjoyed using the resort facilities too. Disappointed with the cleanliness when we arrived, which we flagged to the owner so he could pick this up with the cleaning company.

Kat’s Meow is the the Kat’s Meeeeooooow

Check in was easy. Location was fantastic! The proximity to the closest pool and entrance to the boardwalk, down to the beach, was perfect! We enjoyed many sunrises from the upper and lower balconies. It’s away from the hustle and bustle of some more touristy areas, but close enough to be convenient if you want to venture out. The house is bright, cheery, fully stocked, and well laid out. Having 2 full size fridges is really nice. Some of the furniture is well worn, but very comfy and would not deter a return visit. Shower in the master was wonderful and there was never an issue with having enough hot water. We loved having the gently used beach equipment available. There was no need chat with Mike during our stay, but all communication beforehand was easy, friendly and efficient. Our crew thoroughly enjoyed the stay! If you’re on the fence, just request the booking!

Excellent Experience!

Great house with easy access to the beach and pool. Loved being off the beaten path, but still close enough to activities. The ferry ride to Dauphin Island was a blast and the aquarium and fort were fun for kids and adults alike. Lots of stuff to see and do nearby but secluded and peaceful. Our extended family of 12 felt right at home and the house even had extras like coffee, filters, salt and pepper etc to make the trip even more convenient. We will definitely be back!

Summer of 2023 Vacation

The location was perfect. The house was well maintained. We enjoyed the week we spent n this house. The only recommendation is to check possible improvement to internet and upgrade TV in family room. Otherwise a fantastic week at Fort Morgan. Thank you!!

The views from the balconies are outstanding. There is abundant wildlife and even nesting sea turtles in season. Look for our pal, the big Blue Heron. He likes to perch on the balconies. The dolphins can be seen most days playing in the surf. There is nothing better than sitting on the deck with a cool drink watching the sun slip into the ocean.
