Enjoy our eclectic home as much as we do. This place is not a business property that we only do short term rentals. It is our getaway place that we enjoying sharing with others.

The original antique portion of Partridge House includes first floor living room, game room|study, and large kitchen which is open to generous 2-story height family room with tremendous daylight and access to back deck and private yard. PLEASE NOTE: Back stairs to 2nd and 3rd floors is original to antique house and are steep and narrow. The front stair to second floor is more normal

The second floor of the antique has a large front bedroom with double bed, large dresser, side table, and walk-in closet. The bedroom is accessible from front stair or rear stair via hallway. Also on second floor is small bedroom with double bed, side table, bureau, and east facing window. Across the hall is third bedroom which has twin bed and a youth size double bunk. Ample built-in cabinet and drawers make longer stays easy and convenient.

Rounding out the second floor is renovated bathroom with tile floors, new shower, toilet and lavatory. Accessible from bathroom through arched opening is bath lounge area with settee and cabinet storage.

The top floor is an en-suite studio with king bed, sitting area with table, couch reading area, walk-in and mirrored slider closet, full bathroom with wonderful skylight. PLEASE NOTE: The ceilings are low (5ft-10in to 6ft-0in) at this floor and will be uncomfortable for someone over 6 feet height.

Stayed with some friends for the Labor Day weekend. Everything as good, house was well stocked, clean and within walking distance to many shops and restaurants and very close to the train. Enjoyed our house and the owners were very prompt to answer any questions we had. Would definitely sty here again

We had a wonderful stay. The home was full of charm and thoughtfully stocked with all the essentials, which made settling in so easy. Our host was kind and responsive throughout our visit. The location couldn’t have been better!! The house is just a short walk to shops and the beach. Highly recommend!

Wonderful eclectic historic house, very spacious and comfortable. A short walk to sights and shops of Rockport. Wonderful for a short getaway over Christmas.

The location of the home was perfect close to everything in Rockport the space was great and a nice backyard and deck. The kitchen was pretty well equipped.The supplies were great, plenty of towels and paper products The washer and dryer was small and a few of the upholstered furniture pieces were shredded and ripped I guess due to the fact that they allow pets We were there for several very hot days the rooms that had AC were fine, but the two bedrooms, kitchen and the hall and bathrooms that did not have ac were quite hot. There were several fans that we used to help a little bit but they were noisy Nd not in top-notch condition. There was a portable air-conditioner that would have helped in the family room but that was broken and wasn’t replaced. All in all if you came in cooler weather and you needed a lot of space and wanted to be downtown it’s fine.

Amazing location for Rockport experience

Walking distance to Bearskin neck and beaches, short drive to all Cape Ann has to offer (Halibut Point, Dogtown, etc.). The house is fun and funky and comfortable. We had a great stay!

Such a quirky, fun house! Our whole family enjoyed exploring the town which is very close walking distance, and relaxing on Front Beach. And we loved peaceful evenings at the house borrowing from the great selection of books. It was perfect!

Charming house in excellent location

We had a wonderful stay at Partridge House! The house was charming with plenty of space for our family to spread out. The location was excellent-both walk to town (shops/restaurants) and Front Beach.

Great stay! Great location!

Great place to stay! We enjoy how easy it is to walk to Bearskin Neck and front beach. Well supplied with everything we needed (bath,kitchen, etc.). Kids enjoy the 3 levels to this house as it gives them their own space.

Excellent location. Clean comfortable house worked well for our group of 6 adults and 2 kids. Kitchen well supplied with cooking implements and dishes. Had the best coffee set up I've seen. Highly recommend!

Lovely old home with modern amenities! Walking distance to the wharf and lovely shopping streets, as well as footpaths to beautiful views. The house is a wonderful place for family, plenty of space, including a back yard with a grill and fire pit. The owners were very quick to respond when we had a question. We had a wonderful stay!

Amazing historical house, complete with antique furnishings. Even a piano (I play) with a great "old" tone to it. The backyard and firepit are so relaxing with a great view of stars. You can walk to an amazing breakfast place and restaurants, as well as the water. Perfect!

Thanks and so thrilled that your stay was pleasant with some take-away memories. We appreciated your open and frequent communiques which always helps. Please accept our invite to stay again in the future. The piano came with the house and we have 50-100 player piano scolls that came with it. Your playing it and gracious descritpition are encouraging us to to take the piano more seriously. I am going to see if it can be revived to play the scrolls.

Rockport getaway

This is the first time we stayed at this property and were very pleased with the accommodations. The host was one of the best we've had in terms of responsiveness.

Perfect stay in Rockport!

What a beautiful home! Perfectly attired/ we had everything we needed. Comfortable, clean, great location with off street parking. It was so easy to stay here! Owners are thoughtful and communicative. Will definitely look to return!

Family vacation

Great location walkable to shops and restaurants downtown as well as some beaches. Some challenging stairs or ceiling heights for larger/taller adults, however the uniqueness and charm outweigh the tight spots. My kids thought they were exploring Hogwarts and they loved it.

Rockport Family Vacation

This was a great house for a large group; we were nine with 4 kids. There was plenty of room to spread out and lots of space to cook and prepare meals. It was lovely to be within walking distance to everything in Rockport. The home itself was charming and had a cottage-y, well-loved feel.

Great home in a wonderful place!

The house is charming. There are so many windows. It’s full of light and just a happy place to stay. The location is wonderful-so close to Bearskin Neck. The owners quickly replied to any questions and checked in with a message during the stay. The home has all the amenities we needed. We loved it!

Fun time

Enjoyed our stay with family. Old house with lots of charm. Updated kitchen, bathroom and family room. Close walk to town. Third floor bathroom not for the vertically challenged. We would stay again.

Partridge House, Rockport

We were a multi generational family staying together and participating in a wider family gathering. The ability to be in a home rather than a hotel made our time together more congenial. The house worked well for our situation. It felt as though we had really moved into the spirit of being in this lovely town.

Andy is an Architect who works in Boston. Dorothy is a UX Designer. We are both MIT alums and we have three adult daughters, all of whom have contributed in creating the Partridge House experience.

The house is on one of the original streets with a great variety of house styles. The mix of the old and new in Partridge House, albeit eclectic, is in keeping with the Rockport atmosphere. The house is just far enough away from busy downtown to feel relaxed, yet close enough for a quick jaunt to get into the midst of the town's attractions. We've already met many of our neighbors and the connections are beginning to strengthen our love for this town. We are enthusiastic about our place and look forward to nurturing and sharing its unique qualities.

Partridge House is not cookie-cutter, beige-neutral, developer lux style, or pristine. The house is a home, not a business. When you're not there, we enjoy as our shore getaway and it reflects our personal tastes with hallmarks to its past from the 1800's. Partridge House is slowly evolving and improving to ensure that it remains a great place for the next 200 years.
