Enjoy Panama City Beach at its finest at the Calypso Beach Towers located right in the heart of Panama City Beach. This 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom condominium sleeps up to 8 people and features an extra room. Located on the 9th floor, you can enjoy the majestic views this property has to offer, the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico all from your private balcony.

The living room is spacious and features a flat screen TV and queen size sofa sleeper and wet bar. There is plenty of space for family gatherings. The dining area has a table that seats up to 6 people with additional seating at the breakfast bar. The fully equipped kitchen features update appliances, granite counter tops and spacious enough to enjoy each other’s company and prepare your family meals.

The master bedroom features a king size bed, TV and en-suite full size bathroom with shower/tub combination. The vanity has a granite counter top and large walk-in closet. From the master bedroom you can access the unit’s private balcony which is the perfect location to enjoy your morning coffee or watch the magnificent Panama City Beach Sunsets.

The guest bedroom will have a queen size bed and TV. The third room will have a twin size bunk bed and TV, the third room does not have a closet, so this is why it is listed as an additional room. This unit is great for families and convenient to all the local attractions.

This beachfront property offers 512 feet of pristine white sand beach on the Gulf of Mexico. Calypso Beach Towers has 2 spectacular swimming pools with a poolside Tiki bar. The gate parking garage offers ample parking space and elevated access to both towers. A fitness center is available at no additional charge. Beach chairs can be rented through beach services setup directly behind the property, the chairs are not included with the rental of this unit.

The property is directly adjacent to Pier Park which features shopping, dining, movie theaters and entertainment. Pier Park and its amphitheater, Aaron Bessant Park are home to several local events held in Panama City Beach such as the Seabreeze Jazz Festival, Pier Park New Year’s Eve Beach Ball Drop, concerts and car shows.

Area attractions include Gulf World Marine Park, Wonderworks, Ripley's Believe it or Not, St. Andrew's State Park, Shell Island, deep sea fishing and several championship golf courses in the area. Local Golf Courses Include Camp Creek Golf Club, Shark's Tooth, Holiday Golf Club and Hombre Golf Club, Bay Point Golf Club. Approximately 15 minutes to Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport, and only 1 mile to Frank Brown Park.

Parking passes are $60 each (max 2 per unit). Eight wristbands are included in your reservation. If any wristbands are not returned, there will be a charge of $75 per wristband.

I will start with the positive: The view was superb and check-in was very easy. While our experience was good, this unit could use some TLC. The living room furniture is incredibly worn (squeaks a lot when sitting). One evening as I was sitting on the love seat, I felt something poke my leg several times. I kept trying to get ahold of what was poking me. When I finally did (thinking it was stuffing from the couch, etc), I pulled out an entire sewing needle from the couch cushion. During our stays we tend to cook a lot, and while the set up of the kitchen was up to date and nice, a large cooking pot and can opener were needed. Also, the majority of beach chairs located inside the unit were broken and unusable. I don’t doubt this unit sees a lot of volume and things become worn pretty quickly. Overall we had a really good time.

Everything in the room was either damaged, missing or didn’t work . No wash cloths or hand towels available. The room was not cleaned prior to us checking in. Sand was all over the floor and our feet were black from walking on the floor. Sheets were dirty and had sand in them . The worst experience I’ve ever had . Could not reach anyone for assistance .

Nye stay

Great location, especially for New Year's Eve festivities. The unit needs some TLC and minor repairs which we communicated to the management. We were contacted by a maintenance person, but with the holiday schedule, understandably fixes couldn't be immediately addressed.

not like description at all- super dirty

VERY upset with this stay. When we arrived, we knew the unit was hardly touched for cleaning. Prints all over back door to ocean, sand still in main bed (had to wash all bedding on our own in all bedrooms due to lack of cleaning), the hallway vent was COVERED in dirt/dust- hasn't been touched in a very long time. Bathrooms were disgusting and caked in mold- had to bleach both bathrooms on our own to feel halfway decent about using. Bedding was very outdated and springs were terrible in all beds. Livingroom couches should have been replaced years ago and were sinking in. Really sad about this trip. We saved all year for it and then dropped 3K for a terrible room. We always loved coming to Calypso but this time just really ruined it for us. We shouldn't have to take a whole day out of our vacation to clean. Tried calling the number provided to complain and talk to someone but never got an answer. Tried for multiple days. Really put a damper on our vacation that we saved up for all year.

Fall break get away

The location is great The weather was great Ok so the bunk beds I had to rebuild to make safe now they are Bedroom sheets dirty had to wash before using Patio door curtain is broken but still does work Front door safety latch broken Tv in Living room didn't work But past that the price was right we had a good stay I'm not one to complain but this information will be helpful for the owner it had to be said Thanks

Amazing Ocean Views

Great space and beautiful views. Clean. Would definitely stay again. The only thing was the main living room sliding door we couldn't use it as it was off the track.

Property Needs attention

So many wromg things, BUT before I get to that, The one great thing about this property was the location. It is within walking distance to food, drinks, the pier and fun. So you can park and walk just about everywhere.But for the price we paid, we could have had a unit in the same location that was better.The air conditioning didnt work. The temps never dropped under 77 with the air on and set under 73. We ended up turning it off for our stay and had the patio door open for a breeze. There was mold in the master bath sink uppn arrival. That same bathrooom had missing light bulbs and non working bulbs. The bedroom side lamp bulb socket was broken. The ice maker in the freezer was all frozen up so we couldnt use ice. The living room patio curtain didnt want to open and was broken. There was just so many little details that were not taken care of before our arrival. So for the price, I should have picked another unit.

WORST RENTAL EVER!!!

LSI Management is TERRIBLE!!!Only communication is through Email.Unable to reach by phone.Filter for HVAC was FILTHY, A/C broke, had to get new one replaced.Furniture is old, smelly and very uncomfortable.Sofa mattress has holes in it, can’t sleep on it.Bunk bed not safe to sleep on.CoupleLSI workers came in our rental without notification, knocking or ringing doorbells. My 2 adult sons with disabilities were there alone, My son had to ask them who they were!The last day we were loading our car amd went back to the room for the last of our stuff and they changed the key code, we got locked it!!

BAIT AND SWITCH! TERRIBLE!

DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE – COMPLETE DISGUSTING NIGHTMARE!This condo was hands down the NASTIEST place I’ve ever stayed in — and I’ve stayed in some questionable spots before. The pictures online were ABSOLUTE LIES. What we walked into was a filthy, run-down mess that should be condemned, not rented out.Let’s start with the filth: • STAINED FURNITURE that looked like it had never been cleaned — we wouldn’t sit on it without laying down towels first. • There were BUGS IN THE FREEZER AND REFRIGERATOR — I’m not even joking. • Cabinet knobs were missing, drawers falling apart. • The patio was disgusting, covered in grime and old paint. It looked like children were playing with chalk on the patio and it wouldn’t come up. • There was a shower seat being used as a TABLE. Are you kidding me?! • Showers were leaking and full of MILDEW — not just a little mildew, but full-blown black mold buildup in the corners. Floors were disgusting. We had to wait to get in the unit because they were cleaning but when we’d walk on the floor, bottoms of the feet were BLACK. NASTY!!! • TVs didn’t work, and when we contacted the host about it, they showed ZERO URGENCY to fix anything.This unit was not only nasty, it was completely MISREPRESENTED. The condition of this place is unacceptable and honestly a health hazard.DO YOURSELF A FAVOR — STAY AWAY! There are way better beachfront options than this dump. I wouldn’t let my worst enemy book this place.

Family getaway

I have been stuck at home for six months and this was my first time out since my health crisis. We have stayed at the Calypso in many different units over the years, we have been coming to the Calypso for going on 13 years always a great time staying here have not had a problem at any other units. I would say that there is very little deck furniture only one chair. And the beds are hard but other than that it’s all good. PS the dryer takes forever to dry your clothes.

Too many disruptions

I was in the condo for 2 full days but they sent maintenance in both days to do things that could have done after our checkout. They came twice on the second day just to replace light bulbs in a bathroom that we did not asked for.

Decent condo, great location and price

We have stayed in the Calypso 2 other times at different condos. This condo is on the lower side as far as condition, but the price and location are great. Plan to bring some lawn chairs if you want to enjoy the view from the balcony. There is only one chair outside and it is broken. Also, there was only 1 hand towel for the kitchen, so you'll need to bring/buy additional dishcloths to do dishes and wipe the counters, etc. Overall, we got what we expected after reading previous reviews. As mentioned, the furniture is pretty outdated and somewhat stained, etc. But it was still comfortable to sit on. If you want to be close to Pier Park and the beach without spending a ton of money, this place is perfect. If you're wanting something shiny and new, you should probably keep looking.

rent through the building. As others have said the property company is not the best. We were lacking two blankets for the beds. Pillows were old and stained along with the mattresses. The bunk bed was broken when we got there, we rigged it up but was not intended for any adult. The toilet was broken as in the toilet was missing a chunk out of it and the sink faucet was messed up. There was no shower curtain and mold was growing on wall from this. We also got locked out of the unit at 9a.m not 10 with stuff still inside. It was several $100 cheaper than the next apartment for a reason.

Needs major upgrades and kitchen utensils

The unit was outdated, mattresses were worn out, living room furniture was worn out and sleeper sofa was nothing but springs. The kitchen was not fully stocked with usable cookware, only 1 dish towel, 4 towels and 3 washcloths in the whole unit. I had to go buy towels just so we would have enough. There was trash under the living room furniture when we arrived. Knobs off of bathroom cabinets and the handles to the faucet were installed backwards. The pictures on the website must have been taken years ago when everything was brand new. I don’t recommend staying at Calypso. I don’t like parking decks that are across the street. Too many elevators and narrow hallways.

State of condo

The condo itself was nice but there were places on the wall and the kitchen sink was broken. The ceiling fan in the main bedroom had a broken chain so I could not use it. If the condo was updated it would be really nice. Everything in it was so old. The furniture was really bad and uncomfortable. The mattresses on the bed were horrible. Myself and my daughter woke up with our backs killing us every day. The large bedroom that I slept in had sand all over the comforter and on the sheets. I had to find me a sheet to cover up with. Whoever owns this should really update it and they would have a really nice spot.

Would not stay here again!

Upon entering the condo it smelled terrible. It did not look like it has been cleaned at all. The shower curtains were dirty, shower curtain liners had mold on them, dust and dirt in the kitchen drawers/cabinets, plus many other things. The door to the balcony was almost impossible to open and had dirt smeared on it. We ended up purchasing our own cleaning products to clean. There were broken chairs on the balcony. You can feel the springs in the mattresses on the bunk beds. The pictures posted of this property are very deceiving. We were very disappointed that this was the shape of the condo for the price we paid. I did contact the property manager about all of this. They did ask if we wanted the cleaning service to come out again but we had already purchased cleaning products and cleaned ourselves. I did request for new shower curtain liners, which were brought to us and left on the counters, but not changed. We never received an apology about all of the issues. We love staying at these condominiums but will not stay in the particular condo again.

DO NOT STAY HERE

The pictures of this listing are incredibly out of date for this location. We arrived to find the condo not cleaned prior to our arrival after waiting until precisely 4pm on the dot to be let into the condo. The previous tenants left the condo a disaster and it took the cleaning crew 3 hours to get it back into reasonable shape. After finally being able to unpack our food and belongings, we started adding to the list of things wrong with this condo. 3 of the 4 chairs on the balcony were broken meaning one person at a time could enjoy the view. The couches were too dirty to sit on so we covered everything with sheets. The blinds were broken so we didn't touch them for fear the whole thing would come crashing down. The bunk bed not only had a missing slat under the bottom bunk but was missing a support piece between the upright frames that made it incredibly wobbly and dangerous to sleep on. One of our boys ended up putting the mattress on the floor rather than risk crashing on the bottom bunk. We reached out to management multiple times for repairs and didn't hear back once with a solution - just that the request had been submitted. Add on the regular challenges of condo stays (dryers that don't work, tubs that don't drain, dishwashers that don't drain) and we didn't feel comfortable in this place for one moment of our stay. We asked about a different property and were offered a $70/night 2 bedroom where we'd buy air mattresses to have enough space for the group. 0 STARS

Updates needed

The positives are that the condo was very clean and in a great location close to Pier Park. It also is located in the west tower and had an ocean view. However, this condo was in real need of some updates and attention to detail. The bunkbed has been repaired, but the mattress is worn out and it’s rickety. The king bed is also worn out and the bed hits the wall when you roll over. We only had 5 washcloths, which was a problem. We did have 3 coffee pots (all drip) but only 3 coffee mugs for the 5 of us in a room that sleeps 8. The couch and sofa are very dingy and worn out. The dishwasher and washing machine worked. If you ran the dryer 3 times, towels would eventually dry. Lots of old decorating items were stored in the cabinets. And old box tv was in one of the bedrooms. We did get 2 of the 4 tvs to work, but we don’t watch television so that wasn’t an issue for us. Plenty of hot water and great water pressure in the showers. I received 4 emails wanting me to send pics of the bracelets that show I’m a guest at the pool area continuously warning me of the 75 charge if we lost one. 2 snapped while there so they are easy to loose. I felt the charge and repeated emails were a little too much. Not a terrible place, but I wouldn’t rent again.
