Ocean Block Single Family Home - Open floor plan & pet friendly!

Perfect location - from kitchen or front deck you can see both the Ocean, sunrise and waves as well as the Bay, sunset and the boats. Since its oceanside, you don't have to cross Rt 1 with your beach gear. Easy peasy to go back and forth to the beach all day since its only ~100 yds away. Same street as the Hyatt, Gold Leaf, Nalu and Rusty Rudder.


Wonderful beach house feel with 20 foot A-frame ceilings on the second floor and natural wood interior. Kitchen opens to a second floor deck with great views of the ocean and bay. Large rear deck ideal for eating crabs, BBQ get togethers or just sunbathing. All new flooring through out the house.

The large open second floor is good for just relaxing or hanging out with a group of people. Large new kitchen with two refrigerators and all utensils. Beautiful stone wood-burning fireplace. Wifi access, smart tv and digital cable. New Hot tub.

First floor includes large master bedroom which has a new king bed, updated private bath and a sleeping extension with a queen, bunk beds, and trundle. The other two bedrooms each have new queen beds.

Spacious outdoor shower under back deck. Plenty of storage for kayaks, surfboards and fishing poles.

Note: House number used to be 16A and with the 911 updates the number has been changed.

We had a wonderful week at the beach! The location of Jen’s house is perfect - such a quick easy walk to the beach, close to all of Dewey’s best spots, but quiet and peaceful for relaxing at all times of day. We loved the front deck with ocean and bay views and comfortable couches. The house was well equipped with everything you could need to make meals or pack a snack for the beach, and our boys enjoyed reclining in the living room every morning! We felt at home the entire week and would definitely return.

Perfect location. 100 yards from beach, easy walk to Rusty Rudder and Starboard. All bedrooms downstairs, living area upstairs.

the ocean could be seen and heard from the deck, the house was very open and inviting, we enjoyed the hot tub each day. it was only a minutes walk from house to the very nice beach and even in april there was plenty of attractions open for the family. we had a great time

The location is incredible - steps to the beach, shops and restaurants, spacious second floor with a huge kitchen, two outside deck areas that have incredible views and ample seating, two inside bathrooms and an outside shower! Unfortunately, some amenities (grill, hot tub, dryer, beds) were broken or filthy dirty. Contacted host multiple times with late or little response. Definitely disappointing.

Thanks for the feedback Heather. You notified me of the minor miss by cleaning team with water bottle on shelf being left and I reimbursed you $50 as remedy. The hot tub was fine as you mentioned your family/friends adjusted the chemicals and used it. Grill cleaning is a function of turning it on to burn off residue. I wish you and your family well.

The host was very warm and responsive, even before we secured our booking. We wanted a comfortable family place to relax, as we work hard managing a dairy farm. The house was very comfortable, and we spent a lot of time by the fireplace.

Our family enjoyed our week at the beach! We appreciated the flexible check-in and check-out times. Even when it was too windy for a walk, we could see the bay and the ocean from the kitchen. Coming in from the cold to a fireplace and hot tub made the winter beach walks worth it.

The Hot Tub was a hit! The weather was chilly and windy, so we enjoyed the hot tub. We also enjoyed the fireplace. Everthing was top notch forour stAy.

It was my 25 year old daughter’s favorite place to stay. We have stayed at many different lodging options over the years. The central location, fireplace, and hot tub were also welcome amenities. The host allowed for an early check in and a late check out. Always popular. We would stay here again.

Amazing place & location

Greatly enjoyed coming here for Doodles in Dewey and can't wait to return again. The location next to the beach, outdoor spaces, and hottub were super enjoyable.

Another wonderful vacation at 14 Dickinson Avenue. Such a lovely family beach home. We had warming fires in the living room fireplace and relaxing times in the hot tub. The location is great. Just steps to the beach and the bay is just across the street. Close to our favorites: Dewey Beer Company, Lupo Kitchen, Mama Maria’s, Half Full, and the Lighthouse Bar! Jen even has elevated dog dishes for our pup! We hope to return during warmer weather, but we do like the off-season vibe and no crowds.

Whether during summer time or off season, this is a fantastic house to stay with family or friends. You instantly feel at home. The communication with Jen is outstanding. We will keep on our short list for the future.

The location of the house is ideally situated between the ocean and the bay with easy walks to either side. There are plenty of restaurants , bars, cafes, and stores also within walking distance. The house is a very good size and feels very roomy upstairs in the living room and kitchen areas. The front and rear porches are also fairly large with decent views of the ocean and bay. 2 of the bedrooms in the downstairs are quite cramped, but the third bedroom is enormous with sleeping for at least 6 people. This large bedroom has no partitions and shares the nicer of the 2 bathrooms. A few of the problems we encountered had to do with overall lack of maintenance. The hot tub was dirty and murky upon arrival but the owner was able to send a young man out the following day to drain it, clean it, and refill it. The decking around the hot tub is not stable and feels like your feet could go through it at anytime. The “yard” is not well kept and had garbage and leftover food among the weeds which my dog was more than happy to find. From the road the trees and shrubs are overgrown which made a terrible first impression adding to the overflowing garbage cans which were picked up the next day. The outside ashtrays were not emptied which was also very disgusting. The rug in the living room was not cleaned and has stains all around. The dish washer soap dispenser trap door was broken so it could be run but didn’t do much to actually clean the dishes. Had to hand wash everything before use

We are native Delawareans and love the beach and have been going all our life. We have three boys, ages 27, 22, and 19 amd love the ocean. Also a French Bulldog names Tupelo.

This place is fabulous for all - kids, adults, etc. with lots of open air restaurants and bars within walking distance. Jolly Trolley can take you into Rehoboth in season. The bay and ocean are beautiful.

Huge open kitchen/FR area that is wonderful for entertaining or hanging out. Awesome views to both ocean and bay. Super close to ocean...easy back and forth. Brand new queen bed in master and new full beds in the other rooms. Many restaurants walkable. During the summer, family friendly activities like movies on beach Mon nights, Volleyball Tues nights and bonfires Wed nights.
