Walk to the ocean, very private. Secluded, woodsy location.

We are a cozy studio in a unique setting. There is a babbling brook that runs through the property to the ocean. This was a granite-quarrying site many years ago, and the property retains the remnants of a granite road used by ox carts to move granite blocks to the schooners. There is wild life on occasion, we recently had a great blue heron for several days. State park on the ocean is a 20 min walk.

Beautiful property, excellent location, just a short walk from the ocean, the Lobster Pool, and Halibut Point State Park. The accommodations include a bedroom, bathroom, and kitchenette, which were perfect for a weekend stay in the area.

This was fantastic for my husband and I during our short stay. Phil met us at check in and was wonderful to interact with. The lodging is very small, but it was clean and quiet. We will definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area

The hosts were easy to work with. We knew going in that the apt was small. The sleeping area was fine but the bathroom for my 6’2” husband was very tight. The bathroom barn door did not close all the way and the outside area was not well maintained.

Absolutely beautiful cut flowers were in the room to enjoy on arrival with a comfortable bed, cold mini-split air conditioner, and an adequate kitchenette with a dorm-sized refrigerator. The toliet and bathroom sink space were cramped together with a bathroom barn-style door that would not close completely because of a problem with the track and the entirr space had a strong odor like mold.

This location is truly special - so quiet, nestled in lush greenery, and minutes to the coastline. Fresh flowers in the room were a nice touch. Phil provided excellent instructions for finding his home easily.

This was a lovely place to stay with a babbling brook, lots of birds singing, and beautiful woods. Phil is warm and welcoming as a host and responds to all questions promptly. I will be coming back!

The place was perfect, Phil was right there to meet us.He showed us the place explaining everything and let us know if we needed anything or had any questions to give him a call. Place was extremely comfortable for 2. Love our stay.

Beautiful, peaceful, quiet and very cozy. Short walk to hiking trails and the ocean. Short drive to great restaurants in Gloucester and Rockport. Philip is wonderful and very available. Thanks, Philip!

I had a great stay :) Phil was very welcoming, friendly and hospitable. Took some great walks and had a nice meditation spot by the creek. Despite owners being on the property, I never saw them unless I needed something. They made it feel very private and that was very appreciated.

The only challenging thing was the weather! Phil was a fine host; the location is lovely. It is not at all accessible, so keep that in mind. We were in Gloucester to explore the outdoors, and Phil had a well-stocked 'things to do' binder, which we used.

A sweet, quiet place with amazing wildness and plantings all around. Easy access to Rockport and Gloucester and to local beaches and quarry walks. Wonderful host.
