This suite is fully contained. All you have to do is arrive and enjoy. The historic Phelps Mansion is full of historic character from the original kitchen cabinets to the hardwood floors throughout the unit. There have been many updates through the rehab process and offers many modern amenities. This unit is a two bedroom with new Amish beds and very comfortable Queen mattresses. Located in the living room are two couches. One is an exceptionally comfortable Queen pull-out sleeper, the additional couch can be used to sleep the 7th guest. The kitchen is stocked with all kitchen wares; dishware, silverware, plates, bowls, pots, pans, bakeware, coffee pot, toaster, and microwave. (Serving for 6) Full size refrigerator and gas stove. Free Wi-Fi & cable. Large flat screen TV. Parking available.

We enjoyed our time here! It was very well maintained, was clean, and had great spaces for eating, cooking, and relaxing. It was an overall great experience! We also appreciated being walking distance from downtown.

Location is super convenient! Place is adorable! Check in and a check out info was quick and easy! This is our second stay here and it was as lovely as the first time! Our next time through Decorah we will certainly be back!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Day Street Suites. Our hosts were very accommodating, gracious and kind. Very cozy, clean and comfortable. It’s a perfect place to stay when you visit Decorah and we would highly recommend it to anyone.

Historic Home in Great Condition

Charming, historic, neat character, and - importantly - in really nice shape. The owners have put a lot into this place. Accommodated our group of 5 well. Would stay here again.

We have spent a great deal of time renovating this wonderful mansion. We have completed the two suites available on the main floor for our nightly rentals. We are extremely excited to finally be able to offer the suites to our guests to enjoy. We both grew up in Decorah and have chose to stay in the area to raise our own family. Decorah is an amazing town and is full of fun and exciting things to do all the time. Decorah residents are very proud of our little town in northeast Iowa, and we really enjoy inviting guests to our little slice of paradise. We are certain you will enjoy your stay.
