Uncover the best-kept secret of the Jersey Shore. This cozy vacation house has all you need to relax and enjoy all Cape May and Wildwood have to offer. You will be located 8 houses from Delaware Bay Beach in North Cape May where you will see amazing sunsets as you stroll the beach. You are also located very close to the entrance of the Cape May- Lewes Ferry, making it very convenient to take a day trip on the ferry to outlet shopping in Delaware. Enjoy a drink and listen to a band at the Ferry Bar while the kids play on the playground. Take your dog for a stroll to dog-friendly Harpoons on the Bay for a meal in this island theme local beach bar. Only 1 mile away from the grocery store and shopping. There is so much to see and do! – just a short drive to downtown Cape May and Wildwood boardwalk. Cozy, clean, affordable cottage.

The house was completely renovated in 2016. The house has heat and central air conditioning and driveway parking. The yard is oversized and completely fenced in. Large Patio with Gas grill for sunset dinners. Lots of trees for shade in the backyard.

Sofa and loveseat. TV, DVD player. WiFi and basic cable is included.

Kitchen
Full-sized appliances. Includes cookware, dishes, and utensils.

Laundry Room
Full-sized washer and dryer. Please provide your own detergents and supplies.

Great stay per usual

Great stay at the surfer house this year, just as it's been the past 7 years. Its our little beach house home away from home. Tracy is very attentive to any needs, and the house is always very clean upon arrival.

Adorable House!!

The location can't be beat! Short walk to bay beach and amazing sunsets! Love the theme of the house and all the upgrades. Kitchen is beautiful! Property manager and owner very responsive and helpful!

June Beach Vacation

Another great stay!

This is our 3rd year staying here and it feels like home away from home. It has everything we could need and is stylishly decorated. The addition of 2 bikes this year was a nice surprise. We can't wait to return!

Last Minute Weekend Getaway

Second time staying at the Surfer House. Great location. Two blocks from the beach and easy to get to the ferry. The house is spotless and feels like home. It has all the amenities you would need for your stay. Love the fenced in backyard for our pup.

Weekend Getaway

The Surfer house was a home away from home. Very comfortable, clean and ideal location for walks to the bay and Harpoons on the Bay for beautiful sunsets. Just a short drive into town for shopping and dining. Would definitely love to make a return visit.

Quiet Neighborhood and Beautiful Sunsets

We had an enjoyable week at the Surfer House on Whittier. The home is inviting and very comfortable. The kitchen is large and open to the living room. We loved the surfing decor and the beachy coral colors. It’s a short walk to the bay and we hope to come back next summer.

Great Location!

My husband, dog and I had a lovely time ringing in 2020 at the "Surfer House" in Cape May. The property owners were very accommodating and the location was perfect.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

Great location, super close to the bay beach and within walking distance to the ferry. House was clean and well stocked with a great backyard. Owners were very communicative and accommodating!

Great visit!

This is our second visit at the surfer house. We will definitely keep coming back. You have everything you need and it’s nice and modern and updated. The yard is great for the dogs.

Amazing week at the beach

The house was extremely clean and comfortable. Our 5 year old loved the large yard and the closeness to the beach. We had a great week and made lots of summer memories

Dog friendly

It was our puppy's first vacation and the house/yard was very dog friendly. It was nice to be able to walk to the beach and the town was a close drive. The neighborhood was quiet and pedestrian friendly with sidewalks.

Best of the Bay

Wonderful home , so clean and bright. Everything you need is there! So well equipped! The neighborhood was very quiet and so friendly . The fenced in yard is very spacious and great for pets ! You can walk to the bay in 2 minutes or be in town eating breakfast in 10 minutes. We will definitely rent this home again!

1501 Whittier, Cape May, NJ

Very clean & comfortable home. Plenty of space, large back yard. Most important it is dog friendly. The location is excellent, close enough to everything you want to do or see. Other shore points are no more than 45 minutes away (Ocean City), Wildwood just about 20 minutes. We did shopping at Washington Mall which was about 20 minutes away. The ferry was also just minutes away. Will plan on returning next year.

A great vacation home and location

Loved our stay at the Surfer House on Whittier, comfortable and clean. Everything that we could want or needed was provided. Tracy our host is the best. The information she provided to help make out stay as stress free as possible (being that we were in an unfamiliar home) was over the top. The fenced in yard was a wonderful playground for our dog, she didn’t want to leave. Lol. We would come back again and hope for our sake this review doesn’t make it unavailable.

Great Find

This house is in a perfect location - a quick walk to the bay beach and a short drive to all the area attractions. The property was very neat and clean, and the whole rental process, including the related communications, was simple and well organized. The kitchen had everything we needed, and I really appreciate having both a drip and pod-based coffee maker. There was plenty of space to store your items (clothing, groceries, etc.), nightlights to help navigate in the dark, and a full-length mirror - all things that a lot of other rentals forget to include, but that can make a difference in your rental experience. If, like me, you prefer a really firm mattress, you might find bed in the master bedroom to be too soft, but my husband loved it. We would definitely come back here.

A True Gem!!

What a true gem the Surfer House is! We loved the family neighborhood & having the beach just a short walk away. The home was clean & inviting with every amenity we could need to enjoy our week vacation including a large fenced in backyard which was perfect for our dog Ollie. All of us enjoyed morning walks through the neighborhood & then taking Ollie to the beach for a swim! He loved it! The beach is beautiful, the sand is soft & the water is perfect for swimming, paddle boarding or just floating on. And don’t think Cape May diamonds can only be found in Cape May proper. We enjoyed dinner & drinks at Harpoons Restaurant which was also within walking distance. The food, drinks & sunsets were spectacular! Cape May & Wildwood are just a short drive away so you get the best of all worlds without having to stay there. This home is perfect for couples or a small family. This was a last minute & much needed vacation for us & everything was just what we had hoped for. Thank you for sharing this gem with us!!

North Cape May ... born and raised! George grew up on the bay in North Cape May. He grew up building and renovating many of the local houses in the area. After meeting Tracy in Grad school they recaptured the joy in retreating to Cape May. They never planned on letting others in on their secret spot but quickly realized the magic of the bay must be shared for others to enjoy. Our vision is to provide our guests with an easy, relaxing family vacation in a modern, clean and affordable rental.
