Welcome to your next favorite home away from home here at the Lookout! Located in the popular Powder House Pass development across from the Deer Mountain entrance road. It's perfectly located in the center of the Northern Black Hills recreational corridor with close proximity to Recreational Springs, Terry Peak, Deer Mountain, Deadwood, and all outdoor activities you could wish for and has paved roads throughout! You can even ride your ATV/snowmobiles right from the property to the local trails! Feel like you're living far away from the city, while still getting cell phone reception!

The Lookout has a wonderful covered hot tub under the back deck, 5 bedrooms with plenty of room for your friends/family to spread out and some amazing hardwood work inside to give that authentic modern cabin feeling. You'll never have to stress about issues with the road, with all paved roads up to the property, plenty of parking for trailers and a one car garage for your rides. Don't forget about the newly added pool table to enjoy on those nights in!

In minutes you can be on the slopes, gambling in Deadwood, riding ATV's and Mountain Bikes on the local trails, and then come back to your own new private home to enjoy with your group. You can access the local ATV and snowmobile trails directly out the backside of the property, so you'll love the convenience this home away from home will give you on your Black Hills Vacation!

We had three families stay and the house was big and had enough room for everyone. The beds were comfortable and had plenty of parking for our vehicles and trailers. The only complaint is that it didn't have coffee and we had to buy more trash bags as they didn't supply enough for our stay. But still had a wonderful time and made memories with our family.

The facility was excellent for our family of 7 adults and 4 children. Unfortunately, with that many people the acoustics made it hard for people to hear each other. The setting was beautiful but the kitchen could have been better equipped.

It is a beautiful place to stay. Unfortunately the hot tub did not work, we communicated with the host and were told it would be fixed, it was not. One of the reasons we booked this property was for the hot tub.

Thanks for your feedback Karla. We're very happy to see you had an enjoyable trip. We're very sorry for the hot tub. We stopped a couple times to see if we could fix it, but the board on it went out, and we had to order one in as no one stocked it. It's fixed now, but took a week to get the part. Thanks again for staying.

I was very impressed when sleeping downstairs we didnt hear the weather or the people walking or talking. The views were awesome, the neighborhood was so peaceful and quiet. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it to our friends.

Wonderful property

We had a a great stay. The property was clean, well kept and fully stocked. The Club house was wonderful. We had a great trip.

Great Rental!!

This home is perfect for a large group! No WiFi though which would be nice to have. Would stay there again!

Positives: Nice and roomy for our large group. We were 9 adults, and it was spacious for everyone's comfort. We also enjoyed the pool table, the darts and hot tub. Cabin was also nice and clean. We travel by motorcycle, and there was plenty of parking for our bikes in front of the house, with no gravel to contend with; which is a big plus for bikers.Negatives: It would be extremely helpful if instructions were provided in the check-in/checkout folder on how to adjust or reprogram the preset thermostat. First morning it was 42 degrees, then 3 days later, it got up to 90 degrees, and we had no way of getting the preprogrammed temps to adjust to the fluctuation in temperatures, and the house got hot towards the end of our stay.Also, if you have your own pillows, do bring them unless you hear they've changed each and everyone one of them. All 9 of us commented on how horrible the pillows were, with little to no support left in them. All the living room furniture could also use an upgrade. The only recliner is clearly broken, and you sink down on a broken board upon sitting in it.

Enjoyed our stay

We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and had plenty of room for our group. We enjoyed playing pool and soaking in the hot tub. It wasn’t far from deadwood and we were able to arrange for a Taxi. We will definitely be coming back next year!
