The cozy cabin is perfect for a romantic getaway or can be rented together with Piney Knob Lodge for larger parties, reunions, weddings or church gatherings.
The cabin is outfitted with everything you need for a comfortable stay while you're exploring the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Whether you're attending a horse show at the Tryon International Equestrian Center; hiking in the Hickory Nut Gorge; rafting one of the many rivers in the area or exploring the hamlets of Lake Lure, Chimney Rock or Rutherfordton, Piney Knob Cabin is the perfect jumping off spot.

Beautiful, secluded cabin perfect for a weekend getaway! Property was secluded, lots to do outside and host was very accommodating. Host brought firewood and wonderful to chat with! Short drive to Lake Lure & Chimney Rock, lots to do nearby.

Quick two night stay for a wedding in the area. Clean comfortable and everything we needed. Bill is a great host! Only regret is not spending more time on property as it is very relaxing.

A very quiet place to relax after some good golfing and walking around at the state park. Hot tub was awesome under the stars. Got to try Flyboy Pizza!

The cabin and location was beautiful. The sound of the bubbling creek was so relaxing. Quiet and peaceful for a relaxing vacation. The hot tub is a nice touch (but needs a lift arm to help with taking the cover on and off). If you need a quiet peaceful spot, then this is it!

It was a little piece of heaven! Exactly what we were looking for. Secluded, peaceful, surrounded by beautiful woods, a creek, and a lake. The only thing that could have made it better is the shower was not clean and the bed was a little hard to sleep on. Other than that, we are grateful for the weekend we spent and would do it again

Sorry you were disappointed in the shower. I’ll review this with housekeeper. As for the bed, each guest has preferences for bed comfort, which we cannot satisfy every one. All bed clothes are laundered after each stay.

Quiet and cozy cabin in the rural mountains fo NC. House was clean and property views are very peaceful. Hot tob on the back deck was a nice touch. Would stay here again
