Birthday Weekend at the Beach

Amazing location right on the waterfront with beautiful views and the sunset. Plenty of space in the backyard with the ocean as the backdrop. Close to restaurants and bars. Only downside was no direct access to the sand from the backyard.

Fun Beach House

The Property was very well described, clean, great ocean view and way bigger than we thought it would be. The main dining area was great and versatile and the bedrooms were good size and accommodated a pack and play for an infant no problem.

Perfect mother-daughter getaway weekend spot!

Four mother-daughter pairs stayed here and we had a wonderful time! The moms enjoyed happy hour on the lawn while the daughters took instagram pics on the rocks and beach. One morning the girls made the moms breakfast in the well-appointed kitchen and we ate on the balcony - perfect. The only downside is the bathroom situation, as two of the three bathrooms have to be accessed via a bedroom.

Awesome location, lots of room to move around, and fully stocked with dishes/towels/etc. The only suggestion I have is to correct/repair the light in the mid-level bathroom... if sounds like it is going to fall in on you when you open the bathroom door.

Spring Break Getaway

It's great they host the Ironman competition in Oceanside, but very inconvenient that we had to pack and load our car the night before we left. we couldn't park on pacific street from 4a.m. to 4p.m. Check out is 10 a.m. we had a wonderful time!

November 2021 Stay

This unit has an amazing location and the view is spectacular. However, within the first two days we had to call maintenance several times. The positive side is that maintenance responds immediately and works hard to resolve any issues. As mentioned in previous reviews, do not count on the washing machine. It stinks horribly and I would not put my clothes in it. This unit could use a good cleaning and some updates, it has great bones and could be really special. It's getting older and just needs a refresh. Our stay was ok. Two of the smoke detectors were blaring within the first two days and woke us up at 3am our first night. There was a horrible smell when we first arrived. The master bath shower door was broken and one of the windows in another bedroom has no cover. Again, all issues were resolved quickly, but our first 2 of 4 days were filled with dealing with problems. We ended up having a nice time once we were able to get settled. Hopefully those who stayed after us benefitted from the fixes.

Spring Break Getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived to the cleaning people still servicing the home. we noticed a few things had not been cleaned and we were missing some items. Called the management company and more towels were provided.We learned that there is no cell service in the home only on the street. This was an issue with a few work calls that needed to be completed in the home with the internet. There is a home phone provided that we were able to use. However I feel the details of the home should have included this information. The details state that their is parking for 2 cars. The garage is very small and the driveway is even smaller. Our SUV's would not fit in either so we had to use street parking. This was not a huge deal as there wasn't much street traffic however I could see this as a concern if it was a busier time of year. The best part of the homes that it is RIGHT on the beach which is wonderful! To listen to the ocean in the master bedrooms all night is purse heaven.The home is outdated and needs some attention. The bathrooms have a funny swamp smell and the shower/tubs are small. One of the showers is like a RV type and the other doesn't drain very well. The pictures that are posted for the rental are a little deceiving but if you want to just chill on the beach it is nice.The beach towels are the cheap kind and I would have brought some others. There are NO beach toys or items for the ocean but we found a small surf shop to rent boogie boards. It is a wonderful place to plop down on the beach and enjoy the amazing ocean and let the kids run back and forth in complete safety. The home sleeps lots and the beds are comfy. The washer and dryers are nice to have but the dryer made horrible noises and the washer leaks if not secured really tight. There was no scooper for the laundry detergent so you become creative.

Oceanfront Views

Our family of five enjoyed our spring break stay at this duplex right on the ocean! There was a family staying in the other half of the duplex above us but because the kitchen/living room is on the top floor, you could not hear them from the bedrooms (located on the first and second floors.) The backyard is also shared but we never happened to use the yard at the same time as the other family, so it was fine. Honestly all the homes are so close to each other that we saw more of the guests staying in the house next door than the ones staying right above us! This is a split level home with lots of stairs so if you have elderly guests I would find another property to better suit their needs. But with our two older children it was fine, and for our 1 year old toddler we just went to Walmart after we got in and grabbed a $15 baby gate to block off the stairs for him. There are actually two washers and dryers with this unit, though the way they are set up is a little odd. There is one washer in the hallway of the very bottom floor (where the master bedrooms are located) and one on the same bottom floor in one of the master bathrooms. However, the two dryers are located all the way outside in the garage. That said, they all worked fine (though the washers are definitely on the older side!) but be sure to bring a laundry bag to haul the laundry back and forth. If you’ve never stayed in Oceanside before you should be aware that all the homes sit above the ocean with a rock barrier between. Most homes (including this one) have concrete steps down to the ocean but depending on the tides (not only the daily high/low tide but the monthly tidal heights as well) you may or may not have beach to access below. On previous stays along this section of the beach we have been able to get down to the sand during low tides, but on this specific stay the tide stayed high enough that even during low tide there was not enough beach to safely access. That said, the pier and a wider section of beach is just a short drive or a decent walk up the road. The home overall was clean and had everything we needed. There are some updates that could be done but also you get what you pay for, and this seemed to be one of the more affordable rentals. You simply can’t beat the ocean views and sound of the waves crashing as you fall asleep!

Nice, roomy house, well appointed with kitchen and bath stuff, INCREDIBLE location. No sandy beach but you can climb down the rocks to the ocean at low tide. Great patio, bbq, hot tub. Highly recommend.

Oceanside Girls' Getaway: A Perfect Duplex Delight!

Our recent girls' weekend at this Oceanside duplex was an absolute blast, and we can't recommend it enough! From start to finish, the experience was seamless and incredibly enjoyable.The host's communication was top-notch, even before we arrived. They were super responsive and helpful with all our pre-trip questions, and it was so thoughtful of them to check in on us during our stay. It really made us feel well looked after.The duplex itself was a fantastic find. We loved that it was set back from other properties, giving us a little extra privacy for our much-needed relaxation. The bedrooms were incredibly spacious, offering plenty of room for all of us to spread out comfortably. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the essentials, and the welcome coffee and snacks were such a sweet touch – perfectly fueled our first morning!One of our favorite perks was enjoying our morning coffee and evening wine from the balcony, with lovely views of the water. While it's good to know this is a duplex with a shared, but clearly divided, outdoor space, we had absolutely no issues with the other guests during our stay – it felt completely private.The location couldn't have been better. We were just a short stroll from the pier and some fantastic restaurants, making it easy to explore and enjoy the local scene. Unfortunate decision

The view is great but beyond that- there’s not much left to desire. The cleaning lady was still there when we arrived for checked in- which felt uncomfortable. Upon walking in, the place looked tidy, but not necessarily clean. Corners were dirty, and one of the duvet covers appeared to have a very recent and fresh stain on it. The house has been converted so there are some strange features in it. Seems as though they cut a lot of corners. There are light switches that don’t work, holes in the wall leading to interior parts of the home, old windows, sinks that don’t work and doors that are very difficult to lock. All of this might have been ok- because of the location, but unfortunately we had a very scary incident on our 2nd night. The neighborhood that the house is in is not the safest- therefore security should be of utmost importance for the property management company- Beachfront Only. There is little to none in terms of safety beyond doors with locks- many of which are very challenging to close. The second night an unknown man came into the home through a slider on the floor level. He came in screaming and yelling- it was terrifying. He was reluctantly chased away and police were called, however, unfortunately he was never apprehended. We travelled with children and felt completely unsafe so decided to leave early. We realize that this is not the home owner nor property managers fault and they came to check on us- however- there has been little recourse. Disappointing.

in town for a wedding

We loved, loved! this location. Oceanside is easy access to greater San Diego, and we were on the beach. Beautiful waves, sunsets. The outdoor area is superb. Staff were a bit challenging to get help with property issues, though only a couple things came up. Light out front door was out, never fixed, and coming down stairs at night- used my phone. We had an unfortunate issue wiht front door locking us, in, as opposed to out. Fixed that night after multiple calls. You will love this location, but ensure staff are ready to address any issues with property when you book it.

Beautiful views with some maintenance hiccups

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Oceanside. The accommodations were adequate. We were very disappointed with the number of broken and poorly maintained furnishings. Aaron, the maintenance person who fixed the major items we requested repaired was a rock star and single-handedly saved our trip. He even found two more chairs for our 8-person group. Contrary to the listing description, this property does not have easy access to the beach. The stairs are broken and inaccessible. This property has amazing potential, with some better maintenance and TLC, it would be an absolute gem.
