Off-Shore "Beach House"

Thank you for your review. Elevated bacteria levels in the water can occur during periods of frequent rains. This is caused by run-off of land and roads into the drainage systems and finding its way to the gulf. Because our South Venice Beach, Manasota Beach and north Englewood beaches are on narrow residential keys or uninhabited keys separated from the mainland by the intracoastal waterway it is not likely to find elevated bacteria levels for our immediate area. If high levels were detected a warning would be posted at the beach affected. I have not seen warnings for this at the mentioned beaches. I hope to have you back to enjoy some of the best shark tooth hunting on this coast!

Thank you for your enthusiasm in regards to the private beach and swimming pool. The sunning deck is unique because it allows children to "sit" in the extremely shallow water and play. Our private beach/ferry and kayak launch are within 1/4 mile of this vacation home and a favorite to many visitors due to the lower number of beach-goers and ease of use of the furnished kayaks. Regarding the house "was tired." I appreciate your input on the matter. When speaking with you on the phone you stated "the shower hooks were rusty, a soap rack was rusty and tines in dishwasher were rusty" and that I "should take it with a grain of salt because you just came from a new high-end rental." I take all reviews seriously and not with a grain of salt. All mentioned items have been replaced including all entry door handles. The furnishings of this home are in great condition and do not look "tired" therefore addressing the few items was an easy fix. In your review you also mentioned the need for "a deep clean" which was not brought up to me until several days after your arrival. If the home "was rather dirty" I would have thought I would have gotten a call when you arrived. In speaking to you on the phone you couldn't elaborate on the comment other than to say "you just came from a new high-end rental...." A "deep clean" occurs four times a year at this home and was already scheduled and done now on 4/24. This home has an information binder for guest tips and area suggestions. On the binder cover are several ways to contact me 24/7. I am easily accessible for guest needs even when I myself am on vacation.
