Enjoy a relaxing vacation in this beautiful cabin overlooking Brush Creek. Just minutes from Ontario, canoeing, Wildcat State Park, Kickapoo Valley Reserve and the Elroy-Sparta Bike Trail.

You'll find a slower paced lifestyle in Ontario, come enjoy rural Wisconsin while staying in our well equipped home nestled into the hillside. Take the winding driveway up the hill from Highway 33 and you'll find the cabin with parking directly in front of the house for 2 vehicles. Sitting on the deck you'll have a view of the valley below including Brush Creek.

Inside the open floor plan offers a large space to sprawl out or have a cozy family dinner. The full size kitchen with concrete countertops and stainless steel appliances is an inviting place to cook dinner. An enclosed loft upstairs offers a private bedroom with a window looking into the forest. While the downstairs bedroom offers easy access to the living space and bathroom.

We are able to keep costs low and without a cleaning fee due to the great guests we have. Guests are responsible for leaving the cabin how they found it. A check-out list is provided in our Welcome Book (at the cabin) to ensure our cleaning staff only have to launder the linens and tidy up the cabin. This allows us to have a quick turn-around period for our next guests.

Crowe's Cabin is best enjoyed by folks who are fully accessible. To access the cabin you must walk up a slightly inclined parking area and stairs (as shown in the photos).

Crowe's Cabin is owned by Crowe's Cabin, LLC. The cabin is licensed by the State of Wisconsin. Vernon County Health Department requires single use condiments, thus we are not able to provide bulk spices, condiments, coffee or tea.

Great cabin to unwind!!

This is our 4th stay at Crowe's Cabin. We love sitting on the patio in the morning and enjoying our coffee. Great place to sit in the evening and enjoy a glass of wine while grilling a steak. Very peaceful. We plan to be back!!

Restful location in countryside

We had a very restful and restorative 5 day stay. We explored the area, utilizing the house for a place to eat, play games and sit out front overlooking the field.

Very cute cabin well kept. You can hear bird’s singing, be careful of deer crossing roads. In a quiet area and close to canoeing, tubing, kayaking and close to a state park. You can also see the Amish going down the road in there buggy with a horse or 2 horses pulling it. Enjoyed staying there for 4 nights.

Central to everything you’ll want to do

Loved the location and cleanliness. New appliances and dishwater, good towels also. Loved having a washer and dryer after hard outdoor days. You’ll need to bring your own laundry soap, bar soap and shampoo for shower. Also, the only spices were little packets of salt, pepper and sugar- so plan ahead. Nice grill and fire pit, so we cooked our own meals most of the time. Loved visiting the Amish farms for produce. Would definitely come back again.

A wonderful break away from it all

Absolutely loved Crowe’s cabin. It felt safe, secure and homey. Two large thunderstorms passed through and the house just felt solid and cozy. Easy access to the Kickapoo river was wonderful and we made good use of the games and puzzles. A great stay!

Beautiful nature setting

We enjoyed a mid week getaway to bike some local trails. This was a comfortable landing spot at the end of the days. Beautiful property, enjoyed the birds and deer we saw daily!

Driftless Area Slice Of Heaven

This is our 3rd stay at Crowe's Cabin and we plan to be back many more times!! We enjoyed watching the eagles fly over the valley, and listening to the owls at night. While we drank our coffee on the patio one morning we had the privilege of watching and listening to the clip-clop of 50 or so Amish horse carriages on their way to a wedding. We can tell the owners' take great pride in their cabin, because it is immaculate and well cared for!

The perfect get-away

The cabin was lovely and the perfect place to sit back and relax, read a book, play games with the family or simply observe the beautiful surroundings including stargazing. It’s close proximity to so many wonderful outdoor activities. We kayaked the Kickapoo, biked the Elroy Sparta trail, fished a little, hiked at wildcat, even saw a bald eagle. We did not want to leave!

Relaxing Getaway

Great

Great place in a great area. We spent the day hiking at nearby Wildcat Mountain and shopped at the cool, local Amish stores. In the late afternoon we explored a bit of the property and grilled out on the super nice Weber grill. We ended our day around the fire pit listening to the sound of silence, the fire, and the occasional clip clop of an Amish horse and buggy gliding by on the highway which is about 300 yards away. Very little light pollution out this way and the air is fresh. Nice accommodations overall and a great base camp location to explore the area. We will be back! Thank you Amanda and Marlene.

Peaceful retreat we all need is here!

If you want a real getaway from the world you are living in - this is the place! I have been to many cabins in Wisconsin and this will be my personal best! The location, views, space, comfort, outdoor access - it tops in all those points! Amanda was so nice and prompt in responding to all your queries and we felt like we are at home! Cabin is really clean and our 9 month old enjoyed the place better than us! Will be coming again here for sure!

We had a great stay at the cabin. It was conveniently located near bike and hiking trails and river canoeing. We enjoyed the firepit and appreciated the firewood supplied to us. The outdoor seating areas were also very nice. The cabin was nicely furnished and the downstairs bed was very comfortable. I rated the property four stars. It was a solid four stars. The one thing we would have liked was a place to hang clothes. We are on a four month trip and have a lot to hang up. A real plus was the washer/dryer.

Calm experience

Our weekend at the country house was a delightful escape. Nestled in picturesque hills, the house was warm and clean. Girl weekend

We are three girl friends that stayed here to bike the Sparta Elroy trail. The house was perfect. Beds and couch very comfortable. Everything was provided nicely. We brought our own DVD movies. Lost of games and a few puzzles provided. A big table for puzzles.Surrounding were quiet and beautiful. We did not explore the Amish farms but maps were provided. A very nice VRBO, Thank You

Very good spot for price.

Place was nicer than photos looked. Very good value. No complaints other than the area had very poor cell service which made navigating difficult. There is no wifi at the cabin either, so just be aware of that. Otherwise, very nice clean getaway in a pretty location.

Relaxing Get- Away

This beautiful cabin was nice and tucked away from the hustle and bustle of life. It was very organized and well laid out with directions and expectations easily explained. We appreciated the movie and game selections and the kids loved having a Nintendo Cube to play. It was warm- the rooms do not have a/c vents so we got pretty warm while sleeping- I recommend taking a fan to keep the air moving while sleeping. The cabin was near the Kickapoo River - we kayaked one day, which was great. We also enjoyed hiking at the State Park - loved how close it was so we didn't have to travel far to have some family fun. We would definitely recommend this cabin. Thanks for the wonderful and comfortable visit.

Another Amazing Gettaway

It was a great family expirence, as always. We spent most days looking at horses, cows and amazing views. Everyday was an adventure. We walked around town, went to amish stores, and vistited Cashton and Lacrosse. This is is our third stay and we really enjoyed it.
