☀️3 Bedroom Beach cottage on Balboa Island.. 1 block to sand ⛱️

This cottage is close to the beach & family friendly. The location is perfect and the cozy cottage feel is warm and relaxing. It is great for couples or families(with kids of all ages). A beach cottage for sure! 1/2 block to all shops, restaurants & water is 1 block in either direction.
This rental is street level with a wonderful front patio perfect for grilling and relaxing on one of our Adirondack /rocking chairs. Step inside through the Dutch front door and you have a spacious living room. All 3 bedrooms have ceiling fans. This is a 3 bedroom and 1 very large bath with a large shower and double sinks. It has a galley kitchen, breakfast room and living room. Very light and bright, a perfect location to access everything on the island! Our unit sleeps up to 7 people. 3 queens, as well as one queen memory foam sleeper sofa in the living room . The owners have the upstairs for their family, but it is separate in every way. Balboa Island is the perfect beach vacation! One block either direction to water where paddle boarding is a must! The island is made for walking and biking. A short walk to the ferry takes you right to the sand where you can surf and boogie board. No need to drive at all! Everything is right here just waiting for you.

Very comfortable and actually roomy cottage on the island. The owner's hospitality was on full display when we walked through the door and found a note and a treat from the local bakery! The property was equipped and stocked with everything we needed. If ever headed to Balboa again, we'll come back!

Family Reunion

My wife and daughters had a lovely time at this amazing location - being so close to Marine Ave. is so convenient for quick trips to Balboa Candy or Dad’s Donut & Bakery for cotton candy ice cream.

Parents weekend

We throughly enjoyed our stay. House was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The host is very friendly and helpful. The location is great and so close to shops and restaurants. We will definitely be back.

Visiting Family

Great little cottage, stocked with everything you need. We enjoyed grilling out and had a family dinner outside on the patio. The owner was so nice and helpful.The island is very walkable, with cute shops and restaurants. We had a great time taking the ferry to the peninsula, where we rented bikes for the day. This was a fun "touristy" thing I never did during the 20 yrs I lived there. To really enjoy CA beaches, it's worth it to go to Crystal Cove State Beach because it's clean and no crowds. If you want to get a taste of what CA was like "back in the day," this cute cottage is a comfy hub for your stay.

Friendly owner, spotless property, awesome location

This was a wonderful base for our stay in Balboa. Just a quick walk to downtown Balboa Island, and meticulously clean and cared for. The owner is very friendly and accomodating. We'd enjoy staying again.

Perfect getaway!

What an awesome place to stay on Balboa Island! This house was perfect for our family. We had a variety of ages and it was the perfect fit! So close to downtown and the water. Highly recommend… the house was stocked with everything we needed which made it feel like home!

Perfect spot for our girl’s weekend

We had a wonderful long weekend on the island. The house was perfectly located to food, shopping and recreation. Lori was a great hostess and the house was stocked with all of the necessities. Highly recommend!

Family Reunion

Great beach cottage for a family vacation. We had other extended family on the island for a family reunion and it was super easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The beds were comfy, and dinners on the patio were a highlight. We hope to return!

Wonderful Place for a weekend away.

We had a wonderful stay on balboa island. You can’t beat the location! A block away from the Main Street. The outside deck was adorable and the bed were comfortable! Great place to relax and I would highly recommend this place! We will definitely be back one day!

our time with our five teenage grandkids was awesome at this beach cottage. The home was clean, cute, and very well stocked including beach suppilies like extra towels, chairs, buggie boards, and umbrella. the owner was the best host ever...we can't wait to go back

Best Beach Cottage on Balboa!

My girlfriends and I stayed at this adorable home and had the best time. It was our second time staying here and the location is perfect. The home is darling and very clean. Lori, the owner, is so sweet and great to work with. It is minutes to the Balboa's main strip where the shops and restaurants are. We are definitely returning and can't wait to sit on the porch and enjoy our time. I highly recommend!

Fantastic getaway

Darling cottage on the island. Great location to walk to everything. Enjoyed our daily bayfront walks and evenings on the patio. The home is so cozy and stocked with everything you would need. Perfect family getaway house!

Very walkable to everything you will need on Balboa Island. The home is one block in from the cutest main shopping street, which has restaurants, coffee shops, clothing stores and a supermarket. The host has put together a fantastic booklet of recommendations and information about the island as well as the area outside of the island. The home is clean and cozy, and we liked all of the natural light it gets. The front outdoor porch area has a large table and grill, and the living room was spacious and comfortable plus included a shelf with many games & books. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. We would highly recommend this home for a great family stay on Balboa Island!

Great House, Fantastic Location, Perfect Place to Stay!!

We recently stayed in the lower unit and we could not have been happier. Everything was done to ensure that our stay was a memorable one! The house is very nicely appointed and had everything we needed for our stay. The location is fantastic. It is less than a minute walk to downtown and all of its charms. Lori was a great host. Her only concern was for our enjoyment of the house and our vacation. Thank you again, we really enjoyed staying there and look forward to staying there again!
