Historic with updated windows, doors, floors, walls, bathrooms, and new granite kitchen with parking for three cars. Sleeps 10 with 4- bedrooms Home features large yard with fire pit, screened in porch, and large garden like patio. Appliances are new and furniture is excellent condition. All linens and cooking utilizes provided. This year home features air conditioning, dishwasher, and washer and dryer.

This home is next to historic train station, play ground, 6 tennis courts, 2 mile walking trail, and three blocks from Hoover Stadium. Lakeside attractions include free fishing pier, free beach, free children's pool and waterpark, free shuffle board, free volleyball, basketball, tennis, and children's activities.Lakeside has just added a 3.2 million dollar pool and 2 waterslides only 200 yards from home. For a small fee put-put, boat rides, and golf carts are available.Lakeside has also just finished construction of a huge health center for those who want to shape up.

Property was in bad shape. House was not clean and had an infestation of gnats. Was supposed to have a Hot Tub and did not. Was supposed to have 4 bedrooms, it was really two and a half. When you get to the Property you find out you have to pay to park. $18 dollars a day per car and $33 dollars a day per person. Not advertised by Owner or Vrbo. When we questioned the host about these discrepancies, He was very rude and mostly would not respond to our questions. For the price of this trip we could of taken a first class cruise! Probably should have. Do your homework on this listing.

Easy Vacation

Perfect for our crew

Blueberry Hill was perfect for our stay. We had family across the street so we really just needed it for sleeping. The house was clean and provided sheets and towels, which is a real plus at Lakeside! I’ve always had to bring linens. We did not use the pullout couch but I wouldn’t really call that a bedroom. It was perfect for the 5 of us to stay. It would have been tight if 4 more people were with us.

Fun Family Time

We had a great time in this cottage. The family who slept upstairs didn't mind that they had to go through one bedroom to get to the second one or that the 2nd bathroom was downstairs. The window air conditioners kept the house very cool. All the appliances were top quality. We appreciated having a washer and dryer, too. The golf cart being included in the rental fee was a huge plus, too.

Blueberry Hill - Lakeside

The property met all our expectations. It was in a very convenient location, and was close to many activities. It offered many amenities for all ages. I would highly recommend the Blueberry Hill property for families of all ages.

Great Value & Excellent Location

Blueberry Hill was exactly as described and exceeded our expectations. The house is in a great, quite location and very close to the pool which is very convenient. The golf cart provided was a huge bonus. We enjoyed our stay. John was a great host and extremely responsive to our requests.

Good property for a Lakeside property but not 4 bedrooms as advertised. The 4th bedroom was the back entry door/mud room to the house. The pull out sofa bed in that room was old, stained, and unuseable..

Blueberry Hill

In a quiet area on a cul de sac, so no traffic. Golf cart provided was an excellent bonus to travel to all the activities in Lakeside. Mattresses could use some updating but not bad. Had a gnat problem in the house, but owner working to solve this problem, was very apologetic, and even refunded some money towards spray we bought.

Charming Chatauqua

We love coming to visit the grounds inside Lakeside Chatauqua, and this was such a lovely spot! Quiet and nestled off the main portion of the grid, the golf cart was a huge bonus to get down to the events in the center of town without hiking. Easy access to the pool with day passes, and the scenery is so stunning! Thank you John!

Fantastic

We had a family vacation and other family were staying in other cottages all around lakeside. The location of this cottage is great for getting to the pool or walking trails. The cottage was clean and had plenty of linens. The owner was great, he lives right next door so responds quickly. It was nice having golf cart too. Going back next year and staying in same cottage.

Great price for a really good place to stay

We had a great stay! The golf cart was key, since it was a bit farther than where we had stayed previously (and I'd recently had had knee surgery, there would have been no way of me walking or biking back & forth to the park & shops). The house was big enough for our needs, 4 *almost* bedrooms - one was a loft at the top of the stairs that the other upstairs bedroom sleepers had to walk through, but this is not an issue with kids. The living room was comfortable, the 3 window air conditioners indeed kept the house cool enough, and it was a hot week! 2 tables for eating/working were great. I think our biggest issue was the cleanliness of the kitchen and the gnats (we had read about the gnat problem in a recent review and took a plug in bug light/catcher, which was such a huge help).

Our cottage at Marblehead Lakeside was very cosy

Cosy and nice. One suggestion: furniture to be renewed . It caused me back pain. Otherwise all was fine

We enjoyed our stay and John is a friendly host. Our 5 year old enjoyed the Legos and the golf cart

John was very accommodating with our, fortunate, earlier than expected arrival. He let us drop of our bags and use the golf cart to go down to the beach while the cleaner finished cleaning the house. He alsoy let us use peppers and tomatoes from the garden for our salads.

Labor Day with Family

Location was great! It was across from two houses who are great friends. The only negative is that when our family arrived the house looked like it had not been cleaned. Toilets dirty, floors etc. We ended up cleaning it ourselves unfortunately.

Having a golf cart is a plus! There are two new dining areas in Lakesside. One is across the street from the beautiful pool. One day the life guards blew the whistles for break and the adults all lined up for the slide😂it was great! We have learned to never expect perfection on vacation, just enjoy! Thanks John and Kathy for everything!

Great rental

This place is ideal for an older couple who don’t like going upstairs to the bedrooms. The first floor has a master bedroom with a queen bed and two full baths. But if you have a larger family there is plenty of room with two bedrooms up. Very clean and located at the top of a dead end street, so little traffic, yet around the corner from the pool, tennis courts, pickle ball, etc. The owner John lives next door and is very responsive to requests. The use of a golf cart was a real plus. You will enjoy your stay here!

Perfect getaway at Lakeside

We had a wonderful time staying at "Blueberry Hill." The home was quaint and clean. The bathrooms are excellent (which is not necessarily the case in other cottages at Lakeside), and the kitchen is spacious. The dishwasher is a real plus, as are the washer and dryer just off the kitchen. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. John let us use his golf cart for the week, which is essential for getting to town and down to the lakefront and back. Thank you, John! We loved our stay and look forward to staying at "Blueberry Hill" again some day.

Cozy house in a great vacation community

This is a very cozy house in the gated community of Lakeside. We liked the backdoor access to the playground where the kids spent hours. It was also very close to the walking trail and will soon be walking distance to the new pool being built. For the price, we felt it was a great value for our family. Owner is very friendly and made us feel welcome. If this is your first time to Lakeside, be aware there is a daily fee to be on site. That was a bit of a shock to us, however it did give you access to the beach, festivals, shuffleboard, tennis courts, and so much more. We would definitely return to Lakeside.

Beautiful area

We enjoyed our stay. The area was beautiful and quiet. The house was comfortable, very clean and cute. We didn't realize until we arrived that it was located in a gated community. There was an additional cost of $20 per person per night and $10 per night to drive your car to the house. Having said that the little community was very nice and had many activities offered. The additional charges were frustrating because we had plans at cedar point and put in bay and felt we were spending money for something we were not going to participate in. It is s great place to stay if you want s relaxing vacation and don't want to travel around the area.

Not what we expected

Be aware that in the You need to know section of this VRBO listing "Extra person charges may apply and vary depending on property policy" and "Government issued id and credit/debit/cash deposit may be required at check in for incedental charges" means that this property is in a gated community that requires per person per a auto per a day fee during certain times of the year. No exception. We were completely blindsided. Our fees were well over a thousand for the week. The host did cover part of the fee when we pushed back that there was nothing in the listing indicating the fees. All of the free amenities are only free because of these fees. Also there are 2 actual bedrooms, a loft with a bed that you must pass thru to get to the upstairs bedroom, and a tiny room just big enough for a pullout couch off the kitchen with a sliding door and no ventillation. Both bathrooms are on the first floor. The sheets had stains and the towels were a hodge podge of worn quality. The hot water was iffy. There was still a gnat problem. Communication by the host was not very timely but did get responses eventually. The cottage itself could use a good makeover. It did provide a place to sleep and shower. The location itself is perfect if you are doing things in and around Marblehead. We did enjoy the use of the golf cart.

This home has always been a year round home with many update and it has community playground in back yard 2 block from Rhien center where all children's activities take place and only steps away from walking trails. 3 blocks from Hoover auditorium. 400 yards to tennis courts and senior exercise complex.We always wanted to purchase inside the gates of Lakeside but could never afford it but then a neighbor wanted to trade us for our house in Port Clinton and we jumped at the chance.It was our primary residence until we built our present home next door.

New health center is located only 200 yards from home.Our home is not decorated like a rental as we kept every thing as though we were living there and we especially enjoyed large swing and screened in porch.We also have lots of windows which lets plenty of sunshine in.Home has many hardwood floors open stair way and high ceilings to give you old world feel with new updates such as all new wiring to code to include hard wired smoke detectors.We are on a nice hill among many lovely homes that have recently been built on this tranquil street.Free use of new custom golf cart valued at $60 per day.
