Historic with updated windows, doors, floors, walls, bathrooms, and new granite kitchen with parking for three cars. Sleeps 10 with 4- bedrooms Home features large yard with fire pit, screened in porch, and large garden like patio. Appliances are new and furniture is excellent condition. All linens and cooking utilizes provided. This year home features air conditioning, dishwasher, and washer and dryer.

This home is next to historic train station, play ground, 6 tennis courts, 2 mile walking trail, and three blocks from Hoover Stadium. Lakeside attractions include free fishing pier, free beach, free children's pool and waterpark, free shuffle board, free volleyball, basketball, tennis, and children's activities. Lakeside has just added a 3.2 million dollar pool and 2 waterslides only 200 yards from home. For a small fee put-put, boat rides, and golf carts are available. Lakeside has also just finished construction of a huge health center for those who want to shape up.

Rent this home and Highpoint next door to create the perfect space for gatherings, celebrations, and making memories together.

The house was perfect for our family vacation! Even though it was farther from the lake than we usually stay, being able to use a golf cart to get around was very handy. We also appreciated that towels & bed linens were provided.

This cottage provided everything our family of 6 (three adults and three kids) needed to enjoy a week at Lakeside. We appreciated the A/C, washer and dryer, dishwasher, linens provided, and golf cart. Often these amenities are absent at Lakeside cottages. The house is older and could benefit from a professional cleaning although this did not detract from our enjoyment of the home. We loved the porch swing and cooking with the outdoor BBQ. Thanks again!

We had a wonderful stay. John is a very nice host. Plenty of room for us and a great location. Some things could be replaced (some mattress and pillows were stained and the adult bikes unfortunately didn't work - with the chain consistently slipping off one and the other one's tire not able to be inflated, and the upstairs AC unit appeared to be filled with mold). But having a golf cart is a wonderful perk and it is great how close it is to one of the playgrounds. This was not a problem for us, but it is a fairly steep, narrow staircase leading to the two upstairs bedrooms, and the twin bedroom is a captive bedroom. Don't forget soap for the shower and shampoo. Also, I'd bring your own pillows if you are particular. All that said, we would look forward to staying here again for the same price and I would recommend it as long as you know what to expect!

It was a perfect place to stay. The place was clean and family friendly. Loved the large kitchen. Loved sitting on the closed in porch and drinking my coffee in the mornings. Will stay here again when we make our way back up that direction!

House met our needs. It was a bit bumpy for the first few days as the internet was not working, but host got us online by the end of day 2. It’s a lake cottage and in general needed a good cleaning (cobwebs) and the mattresses should be replaced. But overall, the complimentary use of a golf cart, the linens being included and the great location near the aquatic/tennis pavilion was a plus. Lakeside is a state of mind, so just allow yourself to enjoy the experience and the little things about the cottage are not such a big deal! My grandson was so excited to find the Legos provided and the front porch swing was perfect for reading (napping!) with a nice breeze most of the time.

Overall it was ok for what I needed. I did have a few issues . I had flying ants in the kitchen that I had to constantly spray. On the 3rd day we lost WiFi and Tv. The golf cart wasn’t charging properly so at one point it died on us

Overall, we enjoyed having the golf cart, which made getting around easy and was definitely a nice bonus.One thing to note is that the bedroom layout wasn’t quite what we expected from the listing. The upstairs consists of one bedroom and a loft that serves as the walkway to the bedroom with the twin beds, so it doesn’t provide much privacy. The twin bedroom also does not have a window air conditioner—only a fan—so it became quite warm when the door was closed. The twin mattresses were also firmer than we preferred.The downstairs master bedroom was comfortable, although the shower is on the smaller side.The only sleeping arrangement we found unusable was the sofa bed in the back room on the first floor. The mattress was dirty and very uncomfortable, and we would not recommend it for an adult.The cottage could also use a little more attention to cleanliness. We found a sock behind one of the bathroom doors and noticed bugs in the basket where the bedding was stored. Future guests may also want to bring extra bedding, pillows, cleaning supplies, and additional toilet paper, as only limited supplies were provided.On a positive note, we did not experience any issues with ants or insects inside the cottage, despite seeing that mentioned in previous reviews.The backyard could use some maintenance. The grill was not clean enough to use, the outdoor area wasn’t especially inviting, and there was a garbage can full of trash near the back door.

Was perfect for a family of 5

Our family had a great time for the few days we were there. Had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves especially the golf cart and kids loved the bikes. Had mama deer and two fawns in the back yard when we arrived so that was super cool. Host was really nice and we enjoyed meeting him.

A cozy get away with great benefits

We love staying in the Lakeside community. The golf cart was a huge plus and we really enjoyed it. Finding a four bedroom cottage at a great price was so good for our family of seven. John was wonderful. If you stay there, we definitely recommend getting donuts from the Patio.

A really wonderful stay for our son and daughter and their spouses and 4 young children. They used the rear room with the pullout sofa as a play area. My husband and I chose to stay at a friend’s cottage to give the rest of the family more space.

Another great weekend at Lakeside

We enjoyed our time at this house. The family is growing so we had to extend to a second house and this worked perfect for us. The golf cart was nice to use and having the bedding and towels provided was also very nice! I would stay here again.

This home has always been a year round home with many update and it has community playground in back yard 2 block from Rhien center where all children's activities take place and only steps away from walking trails. 3 blocks from Hoover auditorium. 400 yards to tennis courts and senior exercise complex.We always wanted to purchase inside the gates of Lakeside but could never afford it but then a neighbor wanted to trade us for our house in Port Clinton and we jumped at the chance.It was our primary residence until we built our present home next door.

New health center is located only 200 yards from home.Our home is not decorated like a rental as we kept every thing as though we were living there and we especially enjoyed large swing and screened in porch.We also have lots of windows which lets plenty of sunshine in.Home has many hardwood floors open stair way and high ceilings to give you old world feel with new updates such as all new wiring to code to include hard wired smoke detectors.We are on a nice hill among many lovely homes that have recently been built on this tranquil street.Free use of new custom golf cart valued at $60 per day.
