Welcome to OctoMojo! Enjoy the beautiful Oregon coast in a spacious 1900 square foot home. Two master baths, plus a third bed and bath allow for both family time and privacy. Just one block away from beach access. Lightly used beach in a quiet family oriented neighborhood. Ideal location for sightseeing with just 3.5 miles to Depoe Bay, 9 miles to Lincoln City and 17 miles to Newport. The beds are super comfy, which is a treat at a rental property!Loved hearing the ocean all night. Great views and excellent location!So nice to have the fenced dog run as well. Close to Beach

Nice place to stay. Kids loved the hot tub! Had everything we needed. Owner was very prompt in responding when there was an issue with the hot tub. Short walk to the beach and beautiful view of the sun setting over the ocean.

I was able to get a new cleaning crew out right away. Ms Browning was SUBSTANTIALLY compensated for the lack of cleaning and said she felt that resolution was fair. It's disappointing that she would still choose to give a 3 star rating in light of that.

Outstanding location

Home is beautifully appointed and perfectly located. Enjoyed walks on the beach with the dogs then came back for an enjoyable soak in the hot tub.

We've stayed at this home for a few years and have always enjoyed returning. We absolutely love the view, and there are still many things that make this a great place to stay.The house was well-stocked with necessities like garbage bags, laundry soap, toilet paper, scissors, matches, and a well-equipped kitchen. The updated appliances and game closet, camping chairs, plenty of bath and spa towels, comfortable pillows, and newer beds were appreciated. And, of course, the amazing view remains a major reason we return.Unfortunately, this stay was noticeably different from previous visits, particularly regarding cleanliness and upkeep.Since pets are now allowed, the biggest issue was the strong odor of the house, reminiscent of a dirty pet store. There were visible pet stains on several areas of carpet and bedding. We understand that allowing pets is a great amenity, but a thorough cleaning between stays is especially important.The main bedroom bathroom had a noticeable urine smell and water damage that needs to be addressed.Several maintenance issues also detracted from our stay, including a broken pantry door, mismatched wall touch-ups, carpets needing professional cleaning, and grease buildup around the refrigerator and range hood. The landscaping was quite overgrown, including vegetation growing around the deck, making it harder to comfortably enjoy the beautiful sea view. Overall, we still love this home and its incredible view and appreciate its thoughtful amenities.

Unfortunately, this is the first I am hearing of the issues described in this review. I wish I had known of them sooner so that I could have worked with guest on resolving them.

Nice property with good view

We had a nice stay. There were a few tiles that were cracked and coming apart and a few stains on the carpets. Overall the house was nice and had a great view for being 1 street up from the beach. We would definitely stay here again.

Unfortunately, both repairing the tiles and getting rid of the carpet stains will require a complete reflooring of the house, including the replacement of some subflooring. I am hoping to do this in the next offseason.. If it is a significant issue for folks, I recommend looking into other options.

Great House on the Coast

We had a great time at Octomojo. The location beach access and view were great, the rooms were spacious, and check was super easy. A bonus was also how well stocked the kitchen was. A lot of vacation rentals have okay kitchen furnishings, but this location has a well stocked and organized kitchen. Highly recommend!!

All in all a great place. Location is great. Having the grocery store so close is very nice. Property just needs a little TLC. Deck repair, curtains on the windows facing west. The afternoon and evening sun is just way too bright. It was a very peaceful and relaxing stay. I strongly recommend staying. Thanks.

Comfortable stay, great location.

Our group of 6 adults, 4 kids +1 dog enjoyed a wonderful stay at OctoMojo. The house was clean and stocked with basic amenities for cooking. The house is in a great location, with a grocery store just outside the neighborhood and fantastic beach that is less than a 5 minute walk away. The only thing I noted needing improvement was the charcoal grill was little dirty and had not been emptied of ashes in awhile and one of the downstairs showed was slow to drain. These things did not take away from the enjoyment of our stay. Julie is very easy to work with and responded to all of my messages quickly. Thank you for allowing us to rent your home. We had a great time.

Hi Tran, Thanks so much for your stay. I was not aware that the drain was slow. If it's not reported to me by a guest, I do not know about it. This is especially an issue during the summer months when guests booked are back-to-back. Also, the grill is provided as an amenity, but cleaning it is not something that I expect my housekeeper to address. I apologize that prior guests were inconsiderate in not emptying it. A long review but worth the read I promise!

We scheduled to stay at OctoMojo the beginning of 2022 for Christmas this year. We originally scheduled to stay 3 nights. Once we found out about a winter storm headed our way we knew we had to make the drive a day early or we'd have to wait 1-2 days before we could go and miss most of our trip! I contacted Julie by phone and left her a short voicemail asking if an additional night was possible and she took the time out of her busy day to change the trip because VRBO wouldn't allow me to because of the short notice. She was quick to get back to me and went above and beyond to make sure we made our trip. The house was absolutely perfect for our needs. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. The doggy area had scoops and rakes. Fans in every bedroom. Bathtub in the master was extremely comfortable along with the bed in that room. Julie is truly a gem to work with and OctoMojo could not have been a better fit for our needs. She really paid attention to small details and it shows that she really cares that you have the best trip possible. We hope to have the pleasure of staying at OctoMojo again in the future.

There's a lot to like at OctoMojo!

Our family of 4 adults, 2 children, and 1 dog enjoyed our stay at OctoMojo. The house was clean, but is showing some signs of wear. That's to be expected in these vacation homes, though; they seem to get hard use, especially the pet-friendly ones. The view was nice and the location was great. It's a very short walk to the beach. Chester's is also in walking distance, if you only need to grab a few things. The house was a comfortable size, with plenty of space for us to spread out. The kitchen was a little bit short on a few things - spoons, dish towels/rags, and measuring cups/spoons. No big deal, but just be aware if you are going to need those things. The dog run area was the perfect size and area for our dog (Frenchie). It was also clean. That impressed me because I always have to do pet clean up when arriving at a pet-friendly rental. The hot tub seemed to be well maintained and had a great view of the ocean. I needed to contact the owner shortly after our arrival. She responded immediately. This house is one of the best houses our family has used on our annual winter beach trip. We hope we can stay again next year.

The host was very quick to respond to any of our inquiries. She was also very willing to provide items that we requested. It was obvious that this is a very pet-friendly house which worked very well for us. The house is just a short walk to the beach and the beach was wonderful... not very populated at all... even in July!

This was perfect for our family and beach access was practically out the front door. We had a great time! The game closet was an added bonus, almost anything you needed could be found. Lots of closet space and it didn’t feel like everyone was on top of each other! The hot tub with a partial view of the ocean was the cherry on top!
