Casa de Álamo (Cottonwood House) is a one-of-a-kind gem in the heart of the Historic Eastside, which was first inhabited in 1848. The location is perfect for those wanting to be close to "everything that is Santa Fe"!
The shops and galleries of Canyon Road as well as the Downtown Plaza are only steps away from the front door. "Downtown Subscription" cafe is located across the street and is a great way to start off your day!

This spacious 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home has a lovely great room for family enjoyment.
The quaint courtyard allows for open dining under the lazy shade of the large cottonwood tree and perfect for enjoying a “courtyard BBQ”!

This lovely adobe home, nestled in Santa Fe's historic Eastside, was the perfect base for a three-night stay with two friends.The location was ideal—just steps from a neighborhood coffee shop and an easy walk to Canyon Road and the Plaza.We appreciated the home's historic character and many charming architectural details.I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys unique, historic homes with plenty of character.One thing to note: Because of the home's historic design, there are several steps from the entry door into the home, as well as a few single steps between rooms. Something to keep in mind for guests with mobility concerns.

I loved this location and the historical significance of the house. It felt like living in old Santa Fe. We were within walking distance of a coffee shop, grocery store, sights, and one of the best food trucks (Fusion Tacos.) I couldn't have found a better place to stay within our price range. Thank you for a lovely stay.

This home was so pleasant and fit all of our needs perfectly. We were in Santa Fe for Christmas week and it was walking distance close to all the galleries, the plaza and stores. We felt at home and comfortable and it was everything we could have asked for. Our hosts were engaged but not intrusive. I recommend it highly for anyone wishing to enjoy Santa Fe.

Great girls weekend

Stayed at Emily’s place with two college friends and we couldn’t have picked a better spot. Super walkable, clean, AMAZING decor - very much a Santa Fe vibe that would be hard to find elsewhere. We would definitely stay again!

Amazing Historical Home

Highly recommend this beautiful historical home! It was perfect for our stay in Santa Fe. Great location, loved the home and patio. Beds and linens were so comfortable. We would stay here again in a minute. Loved it!!

charming home, convenient location

I stayed here recently with 2 girlfriends. We found the home to be very charming. Loved the tile work, the skylights, the big bathtub. Parking was convenient. Great location as we could walk to both Canyon Road and downtown Plaza area. We would stay here again.

Wonderful Home

Beautiful, historic home. Was perfect for me, my husband, daughter, son-in-law and 5 yr old grandson. Great location, next to Canyon Rd and a 15 minute stroll to the Plaza. Off the street parking for 2 vehicles!!! We loved our stay.

Great home

This is a great place to stay. Walking distance to many places of art, food and gardens. The home was clean and provided all that we needed. The only caution is for people with disabilities when walking. It contains several level with a step up from one room to another.

It's our "home away from home"!

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

We love our home because its like stepping back in time in a sense. The house was built in the 1800's so it charm remains and somehow transports you back in time and you get a feel for the way the original Garcia family lived in this sweet little house. It's updated with modern furnishings but the charm of the house still remains. We call it our little jewel box. Theres so much to discover around every corner from the artists original paintings in the window casing to the dancing ladies pressed into the door frame to what we think was a religious tabernacle in the hallway where the family once worshiped. We know you will enjoy this home as much as we do.

Subscriptions coffee shop is just around the corner. It's one of the most popular coffee shops in town with a casual atmosphere and relaxed vibe.
