Welcome to The Beach Place at Hatteras High!

Here you will have DIRECT ocean front views from the rear balcony and distant sound views from the front porch.

There is NO ELEVATOR, so you will need to be able to navigate 2 flights of stairs. There is a LUGGAGE LIFT located between the two stairwells (This amenity is not guaranteed).

There are two bedrooms, each with a QUEEN bed. There are two bathrooms, each with a tub/shower combo. One bedroom has an ocean view, sliding glass doors to the balcony, an ensuite bath, and a smart tv.

NO BED SHEETS OR BATH TOWELS are provided. You can bring these with you or rent from a local company. Pillows, blankets, and bedspreads are provided. The complex offers 3 free washers and 3 free dryers.

There is a QUEEN size pullout sofa in the living room. There is also has a smart tv with a dvd player. You can choose to turn on the fireplace just for the ambiance or you can set it to have additional warmth to the room.

The Kitchen includes dishes, utensils, pots, pans, cutting boards, a KEURIG and a DRIP coffee pot, wine bottle opener, mixer, crock pot, and can opener. A few starter items such as dish soap, toilet paper, and paper towels will be provided. Usually (but not guaranteed) there are coffee filters, potholders, dish towels, sponges, dishwashing pods, laundry pods, and salt and pepper on hand.

The POOL is open from mid-May until mid-October (Please confirm opening and closing dates with me). Resort amenities include picnic tables, charcoal grills, outdoor showers, and a fish cleaning station.

Please bring your beach towels. Beach chairs are provided. This is a seven-day Saturday to Saturday only rental in the summer season.

Please note that pictures might not be an accurate depiction of how the beach will be during your visit as storms and tides impact the structure of the beach daily. VRBO incorrectly advertises the walk as 9 minutes to the beach. The building and the condo are direct ocean front.

This is a NON-SMOKING and NO PETS allowed unit and facility. There is an RV park next door.

There are no refunds or rescheduling. Hatteras is an island subject to wind, rain, road flooding, beach erosion, and power outages, so please protect your vacation with TRIP INSURANCE. Make sure the insurance allows you to cancel for any reason and that it covers both trip cancellation and trip interruption.

Our ideal is to make The Beach Place a homey, 5-star condo, so that you can have the BEST VACATION! We have many repeat guests who take care of The Beach Place like it is their second home and we hope you choose to become one of them!

Great Little Beach Getaway

I stayed here with my 2 little girls and husband. The condo was clean and well decorated. Nancy checked in with me halfway through our stay. The luggage lift wasn’t working so I let her know. She contacted the HOA and they sent someone out right away to fix it. Overall, it was great!

Wonderful stay!

View was so beautiful. We saw SO many dolphins. It was cold and rainy for the majority of our stay but the condo was comfy and with such a beautiful view of the sea we didn’t mind. We had dinner at good winds and it was yummy, close and had a great view of the sunset. Even during the off season I highly recommend staying here! Nancy was a great host!

Excellent Stay

This is a great property right on the beach. One bedroom has two windows facing the ocean, providing fantastic views. We saw dolphins and enjoyed sitting on the porch for an unparalled view. The unit has all the essentials for an enjoyable stay in the OBX.

Cozy Condo w/ Perfect View

Condo was easy to find, clean and was just as pictured. We’ve stayed in this building a few times before, but this oasis caught my eye due to the high chairs on the deck and the larger kitchen counter too, island as we like to cook and stand around and talk. Communication was perfect and so was the stay. I will 100% choose this condo again next year if available.

Peaceful Stay in Rodanthe

Nancy's place is in a great location, with excellent proximity to the beach. The balcony that overlooks the beach is perfect for watching a peaceful sunrise with a hot cup of coffee, or having a quiet conversation with a glass of wine in hand. The condo was the perfect size for 2 moms with 4 children ages 1-4. We found it to be very safe for small children as well. It is well appointed and comfortable. I was in need of some peace and relaxation and I found it here. Nancy was also very responsive regarding pre-arrival and post-departure questions I had. I highly recommend, and we will be back.

Fabulous Condo

This condo is spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated & just what we needed. Sitting on the porch deck watching the sunrise every morning while drinking coffee was a sheer delight. Early September vacation

We enjoyed our stay at this condo. The deck overlooking the ocean was wonderful for seeing the sunrise and great for relaxing. We also enjoyed the pool and were usually the only ones there. The location was great for getting away from the crowds and congestion of Kitty Hawk and we walked for quite a few miles every day along the beach. The condo itself was very clean and decorated with a beach theme. We will come back and stay here again.

Fantastic Stay

The location of the property was exactly what our family wanted. We preferred a quieter beach over a busy one like Myrtle Beach, and this spot was perfect. There were plenty of dining options nearby, and the condo itself was excellent—easy to access, clean, and well-maintained. The owner was also readily available if we needed anything.

Spectacular Location & Accomodations

What a gem of a condo on the beach!! It’s an end unit with a magnificent view from the porch. The condo is so clean and comfortable and tastefully decorated with a cute beach theme. It’s very well stocked with most of the necessary kitchen items. Two nice bedrooms with comfortable beds. There’s a storage shed below with plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards and one shade umbrella. Rodanthe is a lovely quiet and less touristy beach area than most of the outer banks. The drive north or south up the banks is beautiful and easy to navigate. There are no shortages of things to do and places to eat. At the driveway entrance to the condo is a great little gift shop that sells wonderful ice creams and assorted fudge and chocolates. It was a fun place to walk to in the evenings. The beach boardwalk out to the dunes was nice and the beach was very clean. The surf is quite rough since this area of the beach has a sharp drop off so the tidal change isn’t as dramatic as that of the grand strand in Myrtle beach. Another huge plus is the pool just outside the back of the condo. It was so clean and refreshing and not crowded. When I first made reservations, I was a bit worried about the HUGE RV KOA right next door to the condo. I feared it would be noisy and crowded on the beach. Turns out it was amazingly quiet and you hardly noticed the beach traffic. It really was a very nice KOA and was packed when we were there. I would highly recommend this condo and will absolutely plan to return.

Would have happily stayed much longer!

The view from the ocean-side balcony is even better than what we expected from the photos. It has a wall on the east side which shielded us from the prevailing wind without limiting our view. This made the balcony an excellent location for setting up tripods and scopes for viewing the many shore birds. Communication with the manager was fast, and efficient. She was able to respond to a special need and was able to arrange exactly what we requested.

Amazing Place

I cannot say enough about this condo. Everything was so nice and clean. Location was quiet on the end unit. Would highly recommend and would love to stay again. Owner was so sweet in recommending restaurants. We had a great time. Thank you for such a great place.

Easy vacation

This property was exactly as described and pictured which is always a comfort when vacationing. We thoroughly enjoyed not only the beach and view, but spaciousness of the unit. Unit was very clean and is furnished with nice, tasteful furniture. The kitchen is extremely well stocked and has a large prep/eating area. Both TVs had Roku - great so lots of selections. We spent a lot of time on the deck because of the perfect view with four nice chairs. A bonus was an excellent laundry room that was very clean and well maintained with great machines. Unit has a coffee bar that has everything. We were there before the summer crowds, so area was quiet, but plenty to do. My husband loved that the Rodanthe Pier is so close that made fishing easy and convenient. Owner was lovely to communicate with and prompt and helpful. Overall, was one of our best vacation experiences.

Amazing View!

The condo is just as described, but the pictures can not do justice to the gorgeous view. It is conveniently located so we could do a day trip to Ocracoke and spend a rainy day shopping at the outlets in Nag's Head. We spent the majority of our time sitting in the adirondak chairs on the balcony enjoying the view and the sunshine. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinner a couple of nights, but close enough to restaurants that stayed open in the off season (We stayed in early April) that we could enjoy dinners out as well. We had an emergency repair needed to a bed and the host had a maintenance person out to the house within an hour to fix the issue. The only drawback to this location is that there isn't an elevator for people to use, so if you have bad knees, this is not the rental for you. I would happily return!

Love OBX!

Even if the weather wasn't what we hoped for, we had a wonderful stay. The condo was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for cooking meals. Having access to a washer and dryer is always a bonus. The view is spectacular and the uncrowded beach is so relaxing to walk along, even with 30 mph winds and 12 foot waves during our stay (which were incredible to watch!). Nancy was quick to answer our questions about the flood warnings and even called during our stay to make sure we were aware of a rain storm coming the next day. We would definitely stay here again next time we visit the Outer Banks.

LOVE this condo!!

We recently stayed at this wonderful condo on the beach, and it was perfect in every way!! Amazing beachfront views-felt like you were right on the beach when sitting on the spacious balcony. The condo is super clean and has the cutest beach decor throughout. Everything you need you will find in the kitchen-very impressed with how well supplied it was. Nancy, our host, was the best! Super easy to communicate with and even checked in with us halfway through our trip. 😀 We definitely recommend this gem of a find and will for sure be back!!

Great place to stay!

This is a great property. It was very clean and nicely furnished. It was a little bit of a drive to get to a lot of the things to do in the area but it was extremely quiet and relaxing.

I adore The Beach Place and try to make my condo a welcoming, homey, five-star vacation place. I love it there and I want those with whom I share it to love it as well.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

Rodanthe has a relaxed atmosphere. The beaches do not get crowded. I like that the location is in between Nags Head and Coquina beach to the north and Avon and Hatteras to the south. I really enjoy watching the kite surfing and dolphins while here. Oceana's and Waves deli are our local favorite eating spots.

As a Dare county year-round resident. I am up to date on what is happening in the area. Because I live close by, I stay in the property when it is not rented; therefore, I usually can catch things that need repairing or replacing before my guests arrive. I have many repeat guests who take care of The Beach Place like it is also their second home. Thank you!
