The Beach Place. Amazing Ocean Front Views!

Welcome to The Beach Place at Hatteras High!

Here you will have DIRECT ocean front views from the rear balcony and distant sound views from the front porch.

There is NO ELEVATOR, so you will need to be able to navigate 2 flights of stairs. There is a LUGGAGE LIFT located between the two stairwells (This amenity is not guaranteed. If you cannot carry your luggage up two flights of stairs, please do not reserve this condo).

There are two bedrooms, each with a QUEEN bed. There are two bathrooms, each with a tub/shower combo. One bedroom has an ocean view, sliding glass doors to the balcony, an ensuite bath, and a smart tv.

NO BED SHEETS OR BATH TOWELS are provided. You can bring these with you or rent from a local company. Pillows, blankets, and bedspreads are provided. The complex offers 3 free washers and 3 free dryers.

There is a QUEEN size pullout sofa in the living room. There is also has a smart tv with a dvd player. You can choose to turn on the fireplace just for the ambiance or you can set it to have additional warmth to the room.

The Kitchen includes dishes, utensils, pots, pans, cutting boards, a KEURIG and a DRIP coffee pot, wine bottle opener, mixer, crock pot, and can opener. A few starter items such as dish soap, toilet paper, and paper towels will be provided. Usually (but not guaranteed) there are coffee filters, potholders, dish towels, sponges, dishwashing pods, laundry pods, and salt and pepper on hand.

The POOL is open from mid-May until mid-October (Please confirm opening and closing dates with me). Resort amenities include picnic tables, charcoal grills, outdoor showers, and a fish cleaning station.

Please bring your beach towels. Beach chairs are provided. This is a seven-day Saturday to Saturday only rental in the summer season.

Please note that pictures might not be an accurate depiction of how the beach will be during your visit as storms and tides impact the structure of the beach daily. VRBO incorrectly advertises the walk as 9 minutes to the beach. The building and the condo are direct ocean front.

This is a NON-SMOKING and NO PETS allowed unit and facility. There is an RV park next door.

There are no refunds or rescheduling. Hatteras is an island subject to wind, rain, road flooding, beach erosion, and power outages, so please protect your vacation with TRIP INSURANCE. Make sure the insurance allows you to cancel for any reason and that it covers both trip cancellation and trip interruption.

Our ideal is to make The Beach Place a homey, 5-star condo, so that you can have the BEST VACATION! We have many repeat guests who take care of The Beach Place like it is their second home and we hope you choose to become one of them!

Wonderful property. Very clean, well stocked kitchen, amazing views. The condo was very cozy, the decor was calming and made us feel right at home. Love the separate coffee area and the other little touches. We will be back!

Luggage lift did not work. Appears to have been broken for a long period of time. If had known in advance that it was not working would not have stayed there . Will not book again or recommend it. Not suitable for elderly people.

Excellent Stay

This is a great property right on the beach. One bedroom has two windows facing the ocean, providing fantastic views. We saw dolphins and enjoyed sitting on the porch for an unparalled view. The unit has all the essentials for an enjoyable stay in the OBX.

Great place to stay!

This is a great property. It was very clean and nicely furnished. It was a little bit of a drive to get to a lot of the things to do in the area but it was extremely quiet and relaxing.

Early September vacation

We enjoyed our stay at this condo. The deck overlooking the ocean was wonderful for seeing the sunrise and great for relaxing. We also enjoyed the pool and were usually the only ones there. The location was great for getting away from the crowds and congestion of Kitty Hawk and we walked for quite a few miles every day along the beach. The condo itself was very clean and decorated with a beach theme. We will come back and stay here again.

Great getaway

We wanted a place to go to and relax with our two kids by the ocean… this was perfect. We had ocean access on demand as well as a pool to keep the kids cool. Will absolutely use this rental again!

Love OBX!

Even if the weather wasn't what we hoped for, we had a wonderful stay. The condo was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for cooking meals. Having access to a washer and dryer is always a bonus. The view is spectacular and the uncrowded beach is so relaxing to walk along, even with 30 mph winds and 12 foot waves during our stay (which were incredible to watch!). Nancy was quick to answer our questions about the flood warnings and even called during our stay to make sure we were aware of a rain storm coming the next day. We would definitely stay here again next time we visit the Outer Banks.

The place is just as the pictures show it. It is clean, nicely decorated and well stocked up. The only draw back was that the luggage lift did not work.

Would have happily stayed much longer!

The view from the ocean-side balcony is even better than what we expected from the photos. It has a wall on the east side which shielded us from the prevailing wind without limiting our view. This made the balcony an excellent location for setting up tripods and scopes for viewing the many shore birds. Communication with the manager was fast, and efficient. She was able to respond to a special need and was able to arrange exactly what we requested.

Amazing vacation.

We had an amazing vacation. Property, location, views, was great! Property owner was awesome! Very detailed with instructions, led us right to the condo with no issues! We had a great family vacation! We went with another family and we didn’t know their exact location before we went but they were in the same building and the same level. We made so many friends. Pool was located right below so we could come and go as needed. This unit allowed us to use the storage and things in the storage, that made a huge difference for us! That was an extra that was just awesome! I was worried the beach would be too crowded due to the camp ground next to it, but surprisingly it wasn’t. I gave 5 stars due to I couldn’t ask for a better experience from the property owner, but the only issue I did have was cleanliness. Counters were not clean. Drawers were not empty and floors were not clean. But it all was an easy fix with a thorough cleaning from myself as I was getting the family settled and a vacuum was provided, so it was no problem doing those things myself quickly. Would recommend the stay 100 percent! Very nice place!

Spectacular Location & Accomodations

What a gem of a condo on the beach!! It’s an end unit with a magnificent view from the porch. The condo is so clean and comfortable and tastefully decorated with a cute beach theme. It’s very well stocked with most of the necessary kitchen items. Two nice bedrooms with comfortable beds. There’s a storage shed below with plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards and one shade umbrella. Rodanthe is a lovely quiet and less touristy beach area than most of the outer banks. The drive north or south up the banks is beautiful and easy to navigate. There are no shortages of things to do and places to eat. At the driveway entrance to the condo is a great little gift shop that sells wonderful ice creams and assorted fudge and chocolates. It was a fun place to walk to in the evenings. The beach boardwalk out to the dunes was nice and the beach was very clean. The surf is quite rough since this area of the beach has a sharp drop off so the tidal change isn’t as dramatic as that of the grand strand in Myrtle beach. Another huge plus is the pool just outside the back of the condo. It was so clean and refreshing and not crowded. When I first made reservations, I was a bit worried about the HUGE RV KOA right next door to the condo. I feared it would be noisy and crowded on the beach. Turns out it was amazingly quiet and you hardly noticed the beach traffic. It really was a very nice KOA and was packed when we were there. I would highly recommend this condo and will absolutely plan to return.

We Had a Very Nice Time Here!

We enjoyed our week’s stay. It was my husband and I and our 17 year old. The condo was really nice and the perfect size for us. I actually think it’s nicer than what the photos show. It looks kind of dark in the photos but it’s not that way in person. There’s lots of really nice beach decor in every room which I really enjoyed. It wasn’t over done. To me it was just really cute. The beach view is really fabulous. We so enjoyed the patio, relaxing and watching the sunrises come up over the ocean. We loved having the elevator for getting our luggage upstairs (It’s not a people elevator). That was a BIG help since the condo is on the second floor. We didn’t use the pool but it looked really nice. There’s a nice TV and we watched some movies on a couple of drizzling days. The week that we stayed, the ocean was wild due to a big storm that came through the week before we got there. It was so wild we did not get in the water. No one was swimming because of the rip tide warnings. That’s not anything the condo owners can control. Unfortunately, the beach closest to the condo was not much of a beach. Waves is experiencing beach erosion and so we had to sit right up beside the sand dunes with hardly any beach in front of us. This is certainly nothing the owners can help. We found a beach to go to down the road at post or mile 25. It was very nice and not too far away from the condo. It was very wide and not crowded. It was cool too because with the right vehicle you can drive on the beach (I think you have to get a permit). One little thing, the area behind the bed and lamp table really needs a good dusting. I only noticed because I had to move the lamp table away from the wall to get to an outlet. This certainly is a very easy fix. The rest of the place was perfectly clean. Oh, I just remembered something else. There’s a really cute coffee bar with more than enough supplies for your first morning’s cup of coffee. There is a Keurig coffee maker and a regular coffee maker. So you can make a cup of coffee your first morning, take it to the ocean view patio and just enjoy! Thinking of the coffee bar reminds me that the condo owners were very generous with the basic supplies. They saved us a lot of money because we didn’t have to buy cleaning supplies, T paper, dishwasher soup, coffee, etc. We really appreciated that. We really had a perfect week there. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

I adore The Beach Place and try to make my condo a welcoming, homey, five-star vacation place. I love it there and I want those with whom I share it to love it as well.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

Rodanthe has a relaxed atmosphere. The beaches do not get crowded. I like that the location is in between Nags Head and Coquina beach to the north and Avon and Hatteras to the south. I really enjoy watching the kite surfing and dolphins while here. Oceana's and Waves deli are our local favorite eating spots.

As a Dare county year-round resident. I am up to date on what is happening in the area. Because I live close by, I stay in the property when it is not rented; therefore, I usually can catch things that need repairing or replacing before my guests arrive.
