Take a step into your next favorite vacation home here at Lazy Bear Lodge. This highly sought after modern rustic cabin is located in the Northern Black Hills recreational corridor just minutes from the local ATV/snowmobile trail system, 5 minutes to skiing at Terry Peak only 10 minutes from Deadwood, 15 minutes to Spearfish Canyon Lodge, and about an hours drive to Mount Rushmore!

Lazy Bear is a 3 bedroom 2 bath cabin which will comfortably sleep 10. It is professionally furnished to make you feel right at home and the cabin has WIFI, cable, games and parking for motorcycle/ATV trailers. The main level has an open living/kitchen/dining area, with an amazing fireplace and a 55” smart TV above the mantle. Enjoy the gorgeous view from the huge deck off of the kitchen, which has a BBQ grill and picnic table. The kitchen is fully equipped with an assortment of appliances and kitchen essentials. The main level also has a full bath, laundry, and bedroom with a queen bed and TV. The lower level has a family room with a flat screen TV, blue-ray/DVD player, and a full size bunkbed. Enjoy the huge deck off of the family room, which has a private jetted hot tub and lounge chairs. The lower level also has a full bath and 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed and flat screen TV.

The Gilded Mountain community offers a paved road to the cabin, as well as use of the clubhouse, which includes a heated outdoor pool, 2 hot tubs, sauna, pool table, air hockey, exercise room and WIFI. We welcome you to Lazy Bear Lodge on your next Black Hills adventure!

Amazing Cabin!

This cabin was extremely clean, cozy and BEAUTIFUL! We stayed 3 nights and felt so at home! The check in and check out had crystal clear instructions. There were prompt answers from the property owners for needs. HIGHLY recommend booking for your family/friends vacay!

Great location

The cabin was cute and had beautiful decks. The location was ideal for our needs. However, it could have been a little cleaner. We found dirty towels behind doors and garbage left on the bathroom floor, indicating that it wasn't cleaned thoroughly. Also, one of the couches needs to be replaced as it is sunken in and very uncomfortable.

Mother load lodge Black Hills, SD

Had a family of 28 stay with lots of grandboys ages 6-14. This place is so roomy, with lots of space for kids to play and adults to walk around and stay out of each others way. The hot tub was a hit with the grandchildren. It was nice that all the families (6) to have their own bedrooms. I did rent another cabin, (Lazy Bear) for some of the young adults, 6 of them to stay. We loved the convenience of the Grocery store only 3 miles away. We rented side by sides and went trail riding also. We had beautiful weather. We went in the middle of July for 4 days.

Family get away

Overall the stay was amazing. The community pool was as great. The view from the deck was amazing. The cleanliness was great. The only complaints are the upstairs bath needs to be unplugged, and the dryer was very loud.

Rude Management

Was going good till we ran out of propane on the grill right in the middle of a big cook. After a couple of attempts to reach management to have them deliver a propane tank they finally returned our call. We were told no one was available to bring one and we should go get our own. They would reimburse us. Also insulted us by accussing us of being intoxicated. What happened to call if you need anything?

Memorial Day Black Hills Stay

Property was easy to get to and clean and well maintained. Plenty of room for our family of 7. Kids enjoyed access to the clubhouse as we all used the heated pool and enjoyed the games inside. Conveniently located to points of interest in the Hills. We were able to easily travel to Lead, Deadwood, Hill City, Custer State Park, and Keystone. All within an hour give or take from the cain.
