Gorgeous Ditch Plains Beach House

WALK TO THE BEACH- never deal with limited or restricted beach parking. Bike or walk to the beach throughout the day. Enjoy a beach bonfire or the backyard fire pit at night. Home work space.

OUR CLEANING CREW CLEANS AND DISINFECTS TO THE HIGHEST STANDARDS. Weekly cleanings are required for any stay longer than one week.

Super cool 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home located next to a nature preserve on a very quiet street just 3 short blocks from the great Ditch Plains family/surf beach. Sleeps 8 comfortably. Use your car to drop your gear on the beach and then walk or ride your bike to the beach at your convenience- no hassles with beach permits or cars. Great for kids since many in the area walk to beach on their own. Enjoy evening sunsets on the deck, bonfires on the beach just steps from your house, or cozy up in the private back yard and fire up the fantastic Chiminea for your roasted marshmallows. The home features a luxurious Spa master bath that includes an open air rainhead shower, cast iron jacuzzi tub, heated towel warmer, Dornbracht fixtures, defogged mirror, radiant heat floor, and skylights. Additional private deck off the master bedroom with easy access to the outdoor shower. Large open floor plan on second floor with 12 foot ceilings containing the living and dining areas, chef's kitchen, and three 12 foot sliders with forever views, including a distant ocean vista. The 12 foot sliders access the wraparound outdoor deck containing the teak dining table, the lounge furniture (seating for 8+) and, of course, a Weber Gas Grill. Four bicycles, a beach wagon, beach chairs, beach umbrella, and a beach cooler included. Recent upgrade to furniture reflected in the photos.

A security camera is located at the house entrance for your safety and security.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations permitted with a 10% fee plus the amount of any revenue shortfall from a successful re-renting. We strongly encourage renter to purchase travelers insurance as a means of payment protection.

Excellent house and location!

We had a fantastic stay here! The vibe of the home and the location are absolutely perfect, especially if you are a beach lover and surfer like we are. We will definitely book again for future Montauk visits.

You will not be disappointed - this home is so lovely! Beautiful decor, super clean, all the amenities especially a very nice grill and everything is easy to use. The property manager replies immediately to all messages. The location is relaxing, pretty, short walk to beach. Everything was perfect!

Wonderful house - close to everything!

Can’t recommend this property enough! The house manager as well is amazing- very easy to get a hold of if we had any questions. House is stocked with everything you need. Perfect spot for a family or an older group of friends who want to experience everything MTK has to offer! 10/10 - would rent again in a heartbeat

Great house and location

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful and contained everything we needed for an amazing vacation in ditch plains. Chris (the owner) was a pleasure and was in constant communication with us to ensure that our stay was a success. I look forward to coming back back again next summer!

Ditch Plains Beach House

Beautiful home and convenient 10 minute walk to the beach. Backyard was beautiful. Deer visited the backyard almost every day. The only change I would recommend is to switch out the current sofa for a more comfortable sectional.

A charming Montauk place

The stay was wonderful at Ditch Plains Beach, we arrived and the house was clean and accurately depicted. It ended up being nicer than expected. Loved the location, as it is just a couple of minutes walk to the beach in a nice and quiet neighborhood. Would recommend!

Incredible Thanksgiving at this house

My family and I had the most wonderful thanksgiving vacation at this perfect home in ditch plains! Chris, the host, was very attentive, easy to contact and responsive, and so kind to us. The house was beautiful, big, spacious bedrooms & bathrooms (HEATED FLOORS!), comfy beds, large kitchen (great for cooking thanksgiving!), and living space. Beautiful large deck and backyard! I can't say enough, this house added to our magical thanksgiving and I am so thankful I found this house. Did I mention a short, lovely walk to ditch plains beach and you could see the ocean from our deck! Thank you to this house and Chris for a fantastic stay, -Emily

The perfect beach house

We had a wonderful stay here! The house is spacious, clean, light and airy and is just a few blocks walk from a beautiful ocean beach. On the upper floor there is a well equipped kitchen with skylights and open plan dining and living room area with a fireplace. Also a wonderful deck from which we could hear - though not quite see- the surf. It was too cold for us to eat out there but we did bundle up and sit out in the sun. On the lower floor there are four bedrooms. The bed was very comfortable and the master bathroom was the best bathroom we have ever seen! Heated floors, a great shower and a large soaking tub from which you can gaze up through two large skylights. We definitely hope to return!

A week of Thursdays

We chose the property for its location. Walking distance to Ditch Plains Beach relieves all the driving/parking issues a non EH (East Hampton) resident would face. The house was equipped with salty beach cruisers, chairs, proper wagon, and every beach toy for monstrous sand castles. Ditch is world famous for surf & touts The Ditch Witch; a sweet little food truck you can grab coffee, sandwiches & other healthy snacks from, bonus convenience. The house had a great open floor plan, eat in kitchen, dining room table, wrap around deck & living room area all on the second floor. The yard was spacious & beautifully surrounded by natural landscape creating privacy at tree top level. The sunrise, sunset & nights skies were all enjoyed from the deck, kitchen & living room. All of the bedrooms were minimally furnished with unique but high functioning pieces. The sheets were crisp & the pillows fluffed. A few friends who joined us at the beginning of our stay quickly changed plans to stay a second or third night, hence the name “a week of Thursdays.“

Shabby furnishings, in good location

Shabby furniture, only sofa in the upper level was an eyesore and so old that it had no cushion left, so it was like sitting on the floor. The Apple TV didnt work, despite spending almost an hour on the phone with the owner who apologized but couldn't get it to work. THE outdoor shower was moldy and had green stuff growing inside, so we didnt use it. Kitchen was poorly supplied - no salad spinner, no large serving platters, only one big bowl. I ended up buying a salad spinner and leaving it there for the next tenant. And no items like tin foil, plastic wrap, plastic bags to store food, all of which I bought and took home. All furnishings appeared to be collection of different tag sales. White umbrella on deck had green mold on it. Outdoor cushions on lounge were stained. Finall, there was a basement area locked off and not part of the rental, apparently. The first day we were there, a woman came to clean that part of the house. She just let herself in while we were upstairs, n notice or warning to us. Very inappropriate to do this without telling us. Would never recommned this house to anyone, adn it was another example of why we shouldnt ever use VRBO. IT was the second time we've used it that property was not as advertised.

Would Stay again!

Overall location & home is absolutely amazing! The host was extremely accommodating and easy to contact with any issues we had. He even compensated us with a later check out (which is not very common from my previous experiences). The house had all beach needs besides a cooler and has a range of bikes you can use for all ages and sizes. Great kitchen filled with most cooking equipment you would need and internet worked great. Would recommend and would 100% stay here again.

Ditch Plains Weekend

Friends and I had an excellent experience. House was exactly as advertised. Was clean and comfortable. Great water pressure in both showers. Easy walk to the beach and easy drive to town.

Great ditch plains location

We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean and bright, exactly what the pictures show. The main bath is large with a great rain head shower. Location could not be better, a short walk to ditch plains.

Great beach vacation

We had a wonderful stay at this Ditch Plains Beach house. The house was clean and bit a nicer than the pictures. Chris, the host, was a great communicator and very attentive. We loved the location - a short 10 minute walk to the beach and a 4 minute drive to Montauk town. I'd recommend talking some surf lessons while staying there! Overall a great trip.
