Welcome to our "one of a kind house". "The Barn" is designed to look like a barn but houses a 5-star accommodation that will sleep a large family or multiple families and friends.

"The Barn" is located on the north side of Holland just before the Holland State Park and a short walk to both Lake Michigan and Lake Macatawa Beaches. This rental is located in the Oak Grove Resort and offers the use of all the resort amenities including pool, spa, playground, basketball court and store. "The Barn" offers 3,780 square feet of living space with an amazing bunk room that sleeps 8. This is a fun room for kids or kids at heart. Other rooms include a master suite, 3 queen rooms and a room with a double bed. Relax in a large living room, watch some TV in the den or kick back on the deck and enjoy a s'more over the gas fire pit.

Amenities include large kitchen with granite counter tops, dishwasher, refrigerator, 5 burner stove, all kitchen utensils, gas fireplace, 4 TV's, linens, washer/dryer, 2 stall garage and 3 reserved parking spots. Large furnished deck with sitting area, dining table, gas fire pit and Weber grill. The resort offers a heated pool, spa, playground, candy store and bike rentals ($.)

Holland is an amazing town with lots of great restaurants, micro-breweries, art studios, museums, beaches and entertainment that will keep you busy while making "The Barn" your central location. Holland is also close to Grand Haven and Saugatuck which are small resort towns in the area that are fun to visit.

Family Vacation

The house was perfect for our large group. Owner was responsive and house was stocked well with enough accommodations for a large group. Bikes included would be nice but we appreciated the easy access to rentals. House was clean and comfortable - was good for kids.

Wonderful rental for Vaca

Everyone in our family loved staying at “The Barn”, there is so much room to spread out and the covered deck was great. Light the gas fireplace and relax. Would love to go back sometime😊

Perfect Accommodation for our family

Met every needs we had. Accommodations were superb. Family meals on the deck in the evening were wonderful. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were so well equipped with towels and other necessities. Kitchen was a delight for meal preparation and very spacious.

Our experience at “The Barn” was fantastic. The house was clean, organized, and laid out perfectly for a large group. The kids were able to enjoy the pool and the adults spent most evenings on the deck. What a great trip!!

Excellent facility, very clean, very well equipped, wonderful place!

We were all very pleased with the accommodations. We had 15 people and despite that number, we all felt there was plenty of room to have a bit of privacy. The kitchen was well equipped and has more than you would expect. Nothing negative to say. I would have liked the pool to stay open a bit later - but that is a very minor point. Staff was very responsive and pleasant.

Family fun

We had a crew of relatives with 6 kids and 9 adults and this place was so accommodating for our crowd. Kids loved great bunk room. The deck are worked out well for our only personal outdoor space. Kitchen was huge and well stocked. Manager was very attentive. Would go again.

Great for families!

Property was well maintained and very clean. They had everything provided. We have been going on a family vacation for many years, now with the grandkids we were hoping to find a place we could return to which had something for everyone and would be a nice place to stay with comfortable accomodations. This is the place! Will be back next year!

Awesome time at The Barn

We had our entire extended family for the week here, and could not have had a better time - the lake! the biking! the pool and hot tub! the playground! Owners are extremely responsive to concerns, and very helpful - even a mechanic recommendation when one of our cars needed it!

McCord Huddleston family vacation

As a family we take 1 vacation per year where my husband and I pay for the lodging for all 4 of our adult kids and spouses and 9 grandchildren. We have absolutely no complaints. The pictures do not do this “barn” justice. Our first night one of our grandsons had to have an emergency appendectomy and even with that this was by far our best vacation. We will return. This is a great house for several families (4) to stay in. The bunk room is ideal for the children (8) to sleep. It’s only a mile from Holland Beach and five miles to downtown Holland. You could not ask for more gracious hosts than Rod and Marie. The kitchen is very well set up and the large deck makes for a great gathering place!

Everything was excellent

Enjoyed our week at the Barn. The property was first class, five star. Rod and Maria were friendly, helpful, and delightful hosts. We stayed at the Barn with our 6 kids and 10 grands. It's hard to find houses that accommodate 18 but the Barn fit the bill. Living area was huge and the outside deck was great. We had a fabulous time.

"The Barn" is a great place to relax and have family time!

Our family needed a place large enough for 9 adults and 3 children and "The Barn" was perfect! The home is beautiful and fully furnished with everything you need for a complete relaxing vacation. The pool was a big attraction and felt like we had a private pool most of the time! The area has many attractions close by including the beach to play in the sand, the "general store" for yummy ice cream treats etc., the marina for charter fishing just to name a few of what we did. You will not be sorry that you chose "The Barn"!! The Carr family of Ohio!!

BEST WEEK EVER!!

We had 3 families stay at the Barn this past week. 6 adults and 7 kids between the ages of 2 and 8 and everyone had the most amazing time. The Barn had it ALL!! We made some incredible memories. This house is perfect! From the pool to the goats to the amazing deck we loved every single minute! The bunk room was a dream for the 5 "big kids." This is the perfect house for a large group!! Plus you can't beat the location. We enjoyed Holland and truly had the best week!! Thank you Rod and Maria!

Great for large family vacations...

We stayed at the Barn the first week of August and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We found the location very handy to Holland State Park and downtown Holland where we enjoyed the Holland Farmer's Market. We had 8 adults and 6 children, ages 8 months to 7 years. The house was very clean, well-organized, and accommodated all of us easily. The kids loved the bunk room. The garage below the deck was a great spot to store a vehicle as well as beach toys, etc. The kitchen was spacious and fully equipped (could have used an ice cream scoop...). The deck was great for sitting out and enjoying an early morning coffee or catching up at the end of the day. We would definitely consider renting this property again in the future. Dan Johnston

Fabulous family friendly well-equipped rental!

The Barn was an amazing property for our family vacation. We had family members from age 5-81 and everyone loved it. The house is so well-equipped including kitchen appliances, cookware and dishes (plenty for our party of 14 to have at least two sets without having to do the dishes), towels, wash cloths, hand soap, dishwashing and laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, etc. all of those special touches that you just don’t get with every rental. Rod and Maria live on the property and are available to answer any questions you might have and they are the friendliest people. The pool and hot tub were amazing—the kids loved it. The property is walking distance or a short drive to the beach and several other attractions. We never were at a lack for activities! The campground itself is very peaceful and the proximity of the playground was great for the kids. We used the deck so much including to do yoga, grill, eat, and sit by the fire pit enjoying the wonderful Michigan weather! This was a vacation to remember and The Barn was a huge reason why!

Wonderful Family Vacation

My family has used VRBO for years now and sometimes the rentals don't live up to the photos posted. Well, The Barn in person was even better than the photos. The home is spacious, decorated to perfection, and has an amazing layout. We had 3 families staying together and each family was able to have their own bathroom and own space. Rod and Maria are wonderful hosts: very welcoming, very friendly, and readily available if needed. The house is well stocked. We cooked 1-2 meals a day and the kitchen had everything we needed. We used the pool and hot tub on a daily basis (very short walk from the Barn). The resort was quaint and quiet. The beach is about a mile away - we walked and biked there numerous times. There is a general store about 1/2 way between the Barn and the beach where you can pick up odds and ends, souvenirs, and we got ice cream there quite a few times. We went boating, fishing, hiked, shopped on 8th street, ate at New Holland Brewery (delicious), rode the dunes in Saugatuck (super fun), visited the De Klomp Wooden Shoe & Delft Factory (very cool), played games at the house, etc. Overall it was a wonderful family vacation and we are very happy that we choose to spend it at the Barn in Holland.

Beautiful Home

Our experience with booking "The Barn" was excellent. The owners were courteous, kind and very professional to interact with. The Barn was clean and very comfortable to stay in. Owners have thought of and supplied most everything you could want during your visit. Keep in mind that you must be able to climb steps to get to The Barn as the main living space is on the second floor and most bedrooms are on the third floor.

Fantastic for Families

If you are looking for a place that can accommodate a large, multi-generational family gathering, look no further. Our kids and grandkids loved the space, the pool, the hot tub, and the location. We really liked eating on the amazingly long picnic table on the balcony deck, too--and roasting marshmallows at the firepit. Plus, the goats were an endless form of entertainment. There is also so much to do around Holland, MI itself, and this was the perfect home base.

We are Rod and Maria Vanden Berg. We have 3 kids and a dog named Copper. Oak Grove Resort is a our family business started by Ron and Betty Vanden Berg in 1988.

"The Barn" was built as our home when our kids were young and we lived in the barn year round. Now that are kids are growing up we are moving from "The Barn" to a location off of the resort property so we can have some time away from work. We are excited for families to enjoy "The Barn" and OGR for years to come.
