Amazing for family vacations! Kids love the bunkroom! Sleeps 18!

Welcome to our "one of a kind house". "The Barn" is designed to look like a barn but houses a 5-star accommodation that will sleep a large family or multiple families and friends.

"The Barn" is located on the north side of Holland just before the Holland State Park and a short walk to both Lake Michigan and Lake Macatawa Beaches. This rental is located in the Oak Grove Resort and offers the use of all the resort amenities including pool, spa, playground, basketball court and store. "The Barn" offers 3,780 square feet of living space with an amazing bunk room that sleeps 8. This is a fun room for kids or kids at heart. Other rooms include a master suite, 3 queen rooms and a room with a double bed. Relax in a large living room, watch some TV in the den or kick back on the deck and enjoy a s'more over the gas fire pit.

Amenities include large kitchen with granite counter tops, dishwasher, refrigerator, 5 burner stove, all kitchen utensils, gas fireplace, 4 TV's, linens, washer/dryer, 2 stall garage and 3 reserved parking spots. Large furnished deck with sitting area, dining table, gas fire pit and Weber grill. The resort offers a heated pool, spa, playground, candy store and bike rentals ($.)

Holland is an amazing town with lots of great restaurants, micro-breweries, art studios, museums, beaches and entertainment that will keep you busy while making "The Barn" your central location. Holland is also close to Grand Haven and Saugatuck which are small resort towns in the area that are fun to visit.

Great Family Vacation

This was the perfect place for our family vacation! The Barn was very clean and tidy. The check in was super easy. The kitchen was fully equipped and large enough for serving our group. The bedrooms were comfortable. The Barn is located within a very well maintained campground and we were able to use the swimming pool and playground. They even had goats that the children could feed. The deck was perfect for lounging in the late afternoon and evening. Less than a mile to a beautiful beach.

The Barn is wonderful! We had a family wedding in Holland and15 of us stayed here. The house is spacious and at no point did we feel cramped. The deck was a perfect spot for us to catch up and the dinner table was a great place to play games! Wonderful stay!

Our whole group agreed that the best way to describe this place is exactly as pictured. Beautifully decorated, spacious, comfortable, perfect for our 3 families of 13, with kids ages 8-14.We had no idea what to expect, but from start to finish we loved this home. The RV park is lovely, definitely take a walk around. Staff was exceptional and Rod and Maria were very helpful with advice and questions leading up to our first trip to Michigan. We would 100% stay here again.Kids had a great time playing basketball, swimming, feeding the goats and spending money in the shop. The home was actually more spacious than the pictures even show. Cozy room for morning coffee or work, card games at the huge dining room table, grilling on the huge deck or sitting by the fire..Be careful what you might order from a Walmart delivery in advance. Things you wouldn't expect from a rental were available already...plenty of toilet paper (the good kind), laundry detergent, static guard balls, top not washer/dryer, dish detergent, paper towels, hand soap, etc. Location was close to Holland State Park, and walking distance to an ice cream shop, a general store and a restaurant (all were a decent walk but certainly do-able).We explored other towns and beaches in Holland but found that buying the recreation parking pass was the best deal for us. At 41 for a year for an out-of-town guest vs 8 a day, we got our money's worth as we loved driving to watch the sunsets each night.Perfect!

Family Vacation

The house was perfect for our large group. Owner was responsive and house was stocked well with enough accommodations for a large group. Bikes included would be nice but we appreciated the easy access to rentals. House was clean and comfortable - was good for kids.

Perfect Accommodation for our family

Met every needs we had. Accommodations were superb. Family meals on the deck in the evening were wonderful. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were so well equipped with towels and other necessities. Kitchen was a delight for meal preparation and very spacious.

Family fun

We had a crew of relatives with 6 kids and 9 adults and this place was so accommodating for our crowd. Kids loved great bunk room. The deck are worked out well for our only personal outdoor space. Kitchen was huge and well stocked. Manager was very attentive. Would go again.

Excellent facility, very clean, very well equipped, wonderful place!

We were all very pleased with the accommodations. We had 15 people and despite that number, we all felt there was plenty of room to have a bit of privacy. The kitchen was well equipped and has more than you would expect. Nothing negative to say. I would have liked the pool to stay open a bit later - but that is a very minor point. Staff was very responsive and pleasant.

Great for families!

Property was well maintained and very clean. They had everything provided. We have been going on a family vacation for many years, now with the grandkids we were hoping to find a place we could return to which had something for everyone and would be a nice place to stay with comfortable accomodations. This is the place! Will be back next year!

What a Nice Property

Our family had the best time in this spacious, extremely clean and well kept home. The owners are friendly and very responsive to questions about the home and the local community. Awesome time at The Barn

We had our entire extended family for the week here, and could not have had a better time - the lake! the biking! the pool and hot tub! the playground! Owners are extremely responsive to concerns, and very helpful - even a mechanic recommendation when one of our cars needed it!

Everything was excellent

Enjoyed our week at the Barn. The property was first class, five star. Rod and Maria were friendly, helpful, and delightful hosts. We stayed at the Barn with our 6 kids and 10 grands. It's hard to find houses that accommodate 18 but the Barn fit the bill. Living area was huge and the outside deck was great. We had a fabulous time.

This is a great house for several families (4) to stay in. The bunk room is ideal for the children (8) to sleep. It’s only a mile from Holland Beach and five miles to downtown Holland. You could not ask for more gracious hosts than Rod and Marie. The kitchen is very well set up and the large deck makes for a great gathering place!

McCord Huddleston family vacation

As a family we take 1 vacation per year where my husband and I pay for the lodging for all 4 of our adult kids and spouses and 9 grandchildren. We have absolutely no complaints. The pictures do not do this “barn” justice. Our first night one of our grandsons had to have an emergency appendectomy and even with that this was by far our best vacation. We will return. "The Barn" is a great place to relax and have family time!

Our family needed a place large enough for 9 adults and 3 children and "The Barn" was perfect! The home is beautiful and fully furnished with everything you need for a complete relaxing vacation. The pool was a big attraction and felt like we had a private pool most of the time! The area has many attractions close by including the beach to play in the sand, the "general store" for yummy ice cream treats etc., the marina for charter fishing just to name a few of what we did. You will not be sorry that you chose "The Barn"!! The Carr family of Ohio!!

BEST WEEK EVER!!

We had 3 families stay at the Barn this past week. 6 adults and 7 kids between the ages of 2 and 8 and everyone had the most amazing time. The Barn had it ALL!! We made some incredible memories. This house is perfect! From the pool to the goats to the amazing deck we loved every single minute! The bunk room was a dream for the 5 "big kids." This is the perfect house for a large group!! Plus you can't beat the location. We enjoyed Holland and truly had the best week!! Thank you Rod and Maria!

We are Rod and Maria Vanden Berg. Oak Grove Resort is our family business started by Ron and Betty Vanden Berg in 1988.

"The Barn" was built as our home when our kids were young and we lived in the barn year-round. Now that are kids are grown up, we are moving from "The Barn" to a location off of the resort property so we can have some time away from work. We are excited for families to enjoy "The Barn" and OGR for years to come.
