Experience the Alexander Mckee House! Built in 1835 and once known to be the Schoolmasters house. Featured in numerous Niagara Books. Beautifully restored with all the modern amenities. Prime Location, rated by Toronto Star as one of the top 10 best streets in Ontario to live on. The street is highly regarded due its elegant Georgian Houses, beautiful gardens and its close proximity to old Town. Park your car and walk to everything.

A stones throw to Queen Street boutiques, fine dining, pubs & Clock Tower. Shaw Festival Theatre short stroll away.

Situated in the heart of old Town Niagara-On-The -Lake, only a block away from Queens Royal & Simcoe Park and the Niagara River. Golf Course & National Fort George Historic Park just down the street.

Guests love to relax on the porch with their morning coffee or an evening drink and watch the horse drawn carriages go by.

There are 2 nice size bedrooms located on the second floor, with beautiful original pine plank flooring. The room is decorated with antiques and historic lighting.

The bathroom is on the main level- fresh towels, soaps, shampoo, toilet, shower & all the essentials. Charming living room has a pull out sofa.
The separate dining room has beautiful hand made table by local craftsman. The chandelier and all other lighting fixtures are handmade which would have been typical in a house of this time period in 1835. There is seating for 4 people.

Enjoy your breakfast on the porch. Toaster, drip coffee maker, kettle, coffee, tea & sugar provided along with all kitchen essentials to prepare your favourite meal.
BBQ and flagstone patio with table & chairs for your enjoyment.
Ground floor laundry with new washer & dryer - detergent provided.

The house is situated on a private forested lot and very peaceful after a day of activities. Perfect romantic getaway, Anniversary or special Birthday celebration, friends & family weekend.

The cottage is very charming, and well appointed, and very close to the downtown street of Niagara On The Lake. Also a short walk to the waterfront where there's a path and some historic sites. The off street parking was very handy. We enjoyed using the outdoor spaces as well - the patio in the back and the verandah on the front. We used the house as a base to visit various sites in the region, and it was ideal for this. Sindy was easy to contact and very helpful.

Location, location, location. Quiet street 1-1/2 blocks from the main commercial section and numerous restaurants and shops. Two blocks to a beautiful park overlooking Lake Ontario.

This is our second time staying at the Alexander McKee House and everything was just perfect. Great communication with the host, and a pleasant chat when we saw Sindy when we arrived. The house is exactly how it's described, and it's location is just perfect.Very clean and nicely appointed. We will certainly be back!

You can't beat the location of this cute historic home in Niagara on the Lake. You're a couple blocks away from all the great shops and restaurants, but not on a busy street either. The house is historically decorated and very clean. We also appreciated all the personal touches Sindy made like providing shampoo/conditioner, coffee, tea, etc. We would definitely stay again!

This cottage is so perfectly situated in the most ideal little town. It was perfect for our mother daughter trip! The hostess was very attentive and we needed for nothing! I thought the beds were really comfortable, and I’m picky!

The Alexander McKee house was charming and historically fascinating! The amenities were perfect. The location was one block away from all the shops and businesses in the Niagara on the Lake historic district, plus within walking distance to the parks and towpaths where the Niagara River meets Lake Ontario. Last, but not least, Sindy was an excellent hostess and always available if needed.

This lovely heritage property will transport you back in time. It is impeccable and so nicely appointed with beautiful period furnishings. Waking up to the sound of bells chiming and the clip clop of the horses and they pulled the carriages past the house was the icing on cake of this serene place. Sindy, our host was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She was so welcoming and attentive.

Loved how local and walkable this unique little cottage was. It felt like stepping into a pioneer village home and yet had all of the modern amenities. Special mother/daughter weekend was perfect here.

It is a perfect location and there’s something really calming and relaxing about the property despite being so close to everything. For such an old house it’s very well maintained and comfortable.

Our passion for restoring old houses, led us to move to this beautiful town, filled with history and historic homes. One of the attractions for us was the wonderful bicycle paths along the Niagara River and excellent tasting wineries. Niagara-On-The-Lake voted prettiest town in Ontario.

This historic 1835 house is situated on the prettiest and most desirable streets in old town. The recently restored porch is a great spot for having an evening glass of wine and simply relaxing. Queen street is literally steps away, where you will find unique shops, fine dining, pubs, coffee shops and Shaw Festival theater. There are over 70 wineries to visit, with wine tasting bars . Whirlpool Jets boat ride is an easy walkable distance. Zoom Bicycle rentals, kayak and paddle rentals also available. Take a horse and buggy tour of our historic town. Niagara Falls is a short 20 minute drive away. There are several attractions and activities including Hornblower Niagara Cruise, Journey behind the falls, Butterfly Conservatory and Whirlpool Aero Car.
