Overall an amazing place. What you see on VRBO is really what you get. Many other places it appears one way in the pictures and in reality it's not they way you imagined it. Owner was responsive and easy to deal with. Great place, will stay here again

With 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, the cabin was very accommodating. The kitchen was well supplied and the house is very spacious. The views out back were very pretty. We saw several deer playing. Everything was clean. Nice game table in living area.

Excellent place to Stay

A few steps from the water on an amazing Deck! This beautiful large home had everything we could ever imagined. A place for the little. Games for the older kids, a porch to sit and enjoy the beautiful outdoors and our very own area to fish! We will be returning in the future. The best stay we have had. The Oyoque’s

We had 12 adults for this family getaway and 1 dog. The house had plenty of space, and the yard was wonderful for outdoor activities. The sun went behind the trees to cool down the hot July afternoons. Lake level was 84% full, which is no control of the host, but we were able to swim and use our Jet Ski. If I had to say one short fall, there were not enough utensils for a house that's supposed to hold 14 people. Only 7 forks, but we went and got plasticware. I will say 5 stars to the host Wendi. She was amazing on answering any questions and responded quickly.

Donnie, I’m so glad to hear that and your friends oh and fur baby enjoyed the Rhodes Retreat. I’m pleased that ya’ll were able to enjoy the lake even though it’s a bit low this year. Amazing!

My family of 12 we loved everything about the house. We will definitely be back in the summer, perfect house even for everyone So many games and even a little bit of toys for the little ones to also enjoy them selves. The kitchen had everything you need as well. We didn’t really get to try the dock since it rain almost the whole time but like I said we will definitely be back, already look for dates in April.

Peaceful property

I’ve stayed at the Rhodes Retreat twice and had such wonderful experiences both times! The first was with my family and some friends for a long weekend and it was so nice to relax out on the dock. We rented a boat and tubed around the lake and had such a great time and created wonderful memories. The fully stocked kitchen was great to be able to cook meals and the kids loved the bunk room and pool table! We laughed for hours playing poker and other games that were at the property. The second time I stayed at the property was for a girls weekend with 10 ladies! The property is plenty big to spread out and the location was easily accessible to several Wineries that are on the East Texas Wine trail! We got a little swimming in off the dock but the best was waking up in the morning and having coffee / breakfast outside and listening to the birds. Regardless of what you are looking for, the property is wonderful. Look forward to coming back again soon.
