Stefano and Margherita have been happily married since 1981 and have two now grown up children, Livio who is a journalist working in Modena and Maria Francesca a painting restorer with a workshop in Parma.
Stefano, whose father worked as a manager for Alitalia, has lived in Kenya, South Africa, Egypt, England and for 15 years in Rome. He speaks fluent English and a good French. He has a degree in Industrial design and worked for Macy's buying office in Florence, a major Italian houseware glass factory in Fidenza, and a packaging industry in Parma. He also designed, patented and commercialized a cleaning up manual tool for gardens, communities, or large surfaced shops. He now likes to take photographs. Margherita, who studied literature and philosophy, loves reading. We live in Quattro Castella (a very small town between Parma and Reggio Emilia)
in Emilia Romagna where we rent out another house (VRBO reference number 402746) That is why we are very seldomly in Camaiore during the summer
as we try to rent out as much as possible to cope with the high property and revenue taxes.
Mrs Vittoria the housekeeper will welcome you and show you around the property. She is practically every day on the property although she does not live on it. We are at any time at your complete disposal by telephone or by the Internet.

This property has belonged to Margherita's family since 1947 and she inherited it from her aunt Ludovica in 2000.

La Polletta was once a farm. Margherita' aunt started the renovation in the 1970's (but keeping it still very rustic) and turned it into a now  group of 6 apartments : the Manor, the Farmhouse, the Olive mill, the barn, the Chestnut storage house (Il Metato) and the steward's apartment.
It is a place where friends and families can meet again and again during the cool spring days or the hot summer holidays, share out-door candle light dinners or an "aperitivo" on the houses terraces, and meet at the 11x7 meter salt-depured swimming pool with a stunning view.
A place where the children can safely play in the surrounding two acre terraced gated and partially fenced garden. Where children can meet again their friends from last year's holiday, and year after year grow up together, feel at home and start an everlasting friendship. It is a place for families that want to share friendship.
A place off the beaten track, encircled by silent nature, even if it is just  a mile away from the town's center (Camaiore has just about 10,000 inhabitants), but nevertheless with many things to do to enrich the holiday experience such as: Trekking in the mountains, swimming in the rivers or in the Mediterrenean (just 6 kilometers away), exploring one of Europes most attractive cave, visiting places of interest nearby such as Pisa, Lucca or Pietrasanta (30 minutes), Florence (1 hour) or have a taste of the very good local cuisine.
A place to rest your mind in, and even if it's not Eden, finally stop the everlasting research for new places and stop feeling an eternal rover going through some good some bad some extremelly bad holiday experiences.
We have met, since 2010 (before we lose count of ), 1325 new friends here at La Polletta who spent a total of 3088 nights and in the meanwhile gained a medium 4,5 star rating for our houses and a badge of premium partner as a tenant.
