Bienvenue au Cottage groseille. Vous ĂȘtes invitĂ©s Ă  vous Ă©vader dans un charmant chalet au bord d'un lac, Ă  quelques pas des eaux cristallines du lac SupĂ©rieur! PrivĂ© 600 pieds de rivage et la plage est Ă  vous avec beaucoup d'espace pour nager et jouer sur la magnifique baie de Chebomnicon. Vous ĂȘtes Ă  quelques minutes de Big Bay State Park, qui est un excellent accĂšs pour le randonneur, cycliste, kayakiste ou aventurier. Vous pouvez profiter des 12 + acres de cet endroit trĂšs privĂ©. Le chalet a Ă©tĂ© rĂ©cemment mis Ă  jour et peut accueillir confortablement 6 personnes avec un roi, une reine et un lit de repos avec lit gigogne sur le porche 3 saisons (pour ceux qui aiment dormir au son de la nature et de l'air frais.) Vous aurez la vie privĂ©e Ă©tonnante Ă  notre chalet et vous pouvez vraiment sortir de la « affairement » de la vie quotidienne ici. Il y a un magnĂ©toscope / DVD pour regarder des films si vous le souhaitez (pas de service de tĂ©lĂ©vision). Venez faire de merveilleux souvenirs sur l'Ăźle pendant votre sĂ©jour au Cottage groseille. La famille et les animaux domestiques. 5 min de nuit. pendant les mois de pointe d'Ă©tĂ©, mais s'il vous plaĂźt contacter le propriĂ©taire pour l'examen des sĂ©jours plus courts. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect location to meet up with our kids to celebrate our 40th!Gooseberry had all we could have asked for and more

Private beach was excellent. We had such a good time playing in the water. Housing was comfortable. Kitchen was surprisingly well stocked with what we needed. Problem was finding the place. The address cannot be seen from the road because covered in vegetation. Also the communication with owner and with Vrbo was frustrating and for the most part nonexistent. We had such a great time that the problems now seem insignificant.

A visit with with an old friend on Madeline Island

Gooseberry Cottage is set back in the birch and pine forest on the coast of Madeline Island. It's very peaceful, charming and comfortable. I was there to visit with my best friend from grade school and her significant other and meet other friends and family staying at other cabins on Madeline Island. We buried my parents' ashes in Greenwood Cemetery after a small and convivial service celebrating my mother's life as she died last year. We also walked the beach, visited the cliffs at Big Bay State Park and sent an adventurous group sea kayaking near Cornucopia. It was quite cold at night and we appreciated the cabin's heating! Early June was not yet summer in northern Wisconsin but we loved it!

Beautiful view- right on the lake!

The view from the backyard is gorgeous. It is also roomy enough and had plenty of sleeping options. My partner and I had a bedroom- my sister and her husband had the large upstairs bedroom which slept them comfortably with their 4 year old son. My 8 year old niece had the loft which was cozy and tucked away she loved that. There was only 1 bathroom which we worried about but it ended up being fine. Location is remote and secluded through the woods which we liked- didn’t have to worry at all about noise. About a 10 minute drive from ferry. Jeanine the host is very nice- everything we needed was there- even a keurig- just bring your own k cups. The only downside was a LOT of flies. We were able to kill most with fly swatters and it was just the time of year so not a deal breaker. We’d stay here again! You have your own beach and that view off the deck is priceless.

Relaxing stay on Madeline Island

Our stay at Gooseberry Cottage was everything we had hoped for. It was a great home base to explore all that Madeline Island has to offer. The property was very private and peaceful and we had lots of fun on the beach in the lake. The home was very comfortable for our family of 4.

Family get away

We loved our stay at Gooseberry Cottage. The property was awesome. We loved the private beach and proximity to town and other destinations on the island. Our only regret is not staying a few more days. Thank you for a memorable getaway for our family.

Beautiful private beach stay

We enjoyed everything about our stay, especially the beach, indoor and outdoor porches, master bedroom with view of Lake Superior with windows on 3 sides. We had several hikes that were challenging and fun. Appreciated that this island has preserved its beauty/austerity

Beautiful Beach

We enjoyed our stay very much. The rustic cottage brought me back to my childhood cabin days and I loved sleeping on the screen porch! The beach was wonderful and my son did a little kayaking. The owner was very responsive to the few questions we had. We enjoyed exploring beautiful Madeline Island.

Great location for our family vacation

Gooseberry cabin was the perfect spot for our family of 4 to get away and enjoy Madeline Island. The cabin was clean, the beds were comfortable, the beach was fantastic to enjoy the lake and watch stars at night. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything we needed and we used a couple of the board games on a rainy day. Thanks for hosting our family 😀

Perfect getaway

Beach Get Away

Thank you for the amazing summer beach get away experience. My family fell in love with this property. We spent the majority of our time on the beach lounging and swimming. The cottage was so cozy and had a spectacular Superior view. We will definitely be returning!

Beauty and the Beach

Our family (2 kids - 8 years/10 years old) loved our stay at Gooseberry Cottage. We enjoyed relaxing on the beach, playing catch in the yard, and dealing cards on the deck. The majestic views of the lake were spectacular. The house has everything you need. If you need to unplug and reset, this is the house for you.
