The Gatehouse se trouve Ă  400 mĂštres de la maison de plage la plus proche et si vous souhaitez plus d'intimitĂ©, cette maison est faite pour vous! Il dispose d'une piscine ultra privĂ©e. Les murs de pierre assurent une intimitĂ© absolue ..... Le Gatehouse est un magnifique cottage insulaire en bord de mer avec sa propre plage privĂ©e. (excellente plongĂ©e en apnĂ©e) Si vous dĂ©sirez du homard pour le gril, demandez au gardien Reynold de vous en procurer. Les fenĂȘtres entourent la maison et offrent une vue magnifique sur les ocĂ©ans. La cuisine en granit est parfaite pour prĂ©parer des plats de fruits de mer frais. Le gardien de cet Ă©tat de 14 acres est le meilleur homme d'affrĂštement sur l'Ăźle et peut fournir Ă  ses clients des produits frais, notamment du homard, du mĂ©rou, du vivaneau, du mahi mahi et du wahoo. Il y a deux chambres, chacune avec sa propre salle de bain et ses grands lits. (matelas neufs). Le salon carrelĂ© en travertin a un nouveau canapĂ©-lit gigogne pour 2 personnes supplĂ©mentaires. Des kayaks sont fournis pour sortir de chez vous et pagayer autour des rĂ©cifs. Nous fournissons Ă©galement des vĂ©los pour explorer l'Ăźle. PlongĂ©e en apnĂ©e autour des rĂ©cifs sur la baie sur laquelle cette maison est assise, vous verrez un tableau de beaux poissons tropicaux. C'est un endroit oĂč vous voudrez revenir chaque annĂ©e.

Nos clients arrivent gĂ©nĂ©ralement des États ou de l’Europe Ă  destination de Nassau, aux Bahamas, puis prennent les compagnies aĂ©riennes Sky Bahamas pour se rendre directement Ă  New Bight, Cat Island (vol de 30 minutes). Nous vous recommandons d’arriver Ă  Nassau avant 14h00 pour effectuer votre vol de correspondance Sky Bahamas Ă  destination de New Bight. Stephanie is a gem. She always provides an incredible environment for me to come visit. Peaceful and relaxing here. The house is a darling cottage and has everything I need. The beds are so comfortable, nice bedding and pillows! The water is beautiful and calming. Sitting on the deck anytime of day is a joy, nice shade even when’s it’s hot. The pool and the cover over it are perfect way to spend an afternoon after my long walk on a beach that I have all to myself! The water is the most beautiful color, the sunrises and sunsets are the most spectacular that you will ever see. Lots of time to be in peace, calm and solitude. 100 stars!

Perfectly peaceful oceanfront escape! We had an incredible stay at this oceanfront home on Cat Island. It was wonderfully remote, but the home had everything we needed included great internet. The private, gated pool was a huge plus that made us feel like we had our private paradise. The kitchen was fully equipped, which made cooking so easy. We highly recommend ordering dinner from the care-taker for the first night. It was delicious and a warm welcome our first night there. We lived exploring the island's local charming restaurants and one of our favorites was just a 5 minute walk away. Fresh seafood was plentiful and snorkeling was right on front of the house. The crystal clear water was unforgettable. It was an unforgettable trip and we will definitely be back. This house is perfect for anyone looking for a well-appointed house and a quiet peaceful get away.

Paradise

If you want quiet and relaxing this is for you, seclusion and privacy. Great hosts. Don’t go if you’re looking for a resort experience. This is for getting away and enjoying each other with the outside locked away for a few days.

Anniversary getaway

The property is very secluded and that's not a bad thing. We only saw 2 other people the first few days and the day before we left a family arrived at the property next to us. Other than those we hardly saw anyone else while on the beach, snorkeling or in the pool. It is so beautiful that we hardly wanted to explore the rest of the Island but did go into town ( cultural village) for for a few visits and explored some of the beaten path trails that led to some extraordinary beaches,and it seemed like we were the only ones enjoying the beaches.The house a charm and laid back feeling

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Everything we needed was there and the owners were wonderful. If we needed anything or had any questions, they were very helpful and responsive. The views and peacefulness of this property are amazing.

Excellent choice for quiet and solitude. Private pool a great addition. Beautiful view and lots of privacy. Very rustic island but friendly people and great secluded beaches on the lee side.

.beachside getaway

A great quiet place to stay to enjoy all the ocean has to offer. Snorkelling right out front among the many coral head.s, kayaks available to explore the area. A very short walk to a nice sandy beach to enjoy the sunsets. Harrison was a gem, always there to offer his help.or advice on where to go and what to see.!

Peaceful

A beautiful setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were the only ones on the beach in front of the house and everyone we talked to was helpful and pleasant. The owners were nearby and very helpful with local recommendations of where to eat and what to do. Wish we could have stayed another 2 weeks!

15th Birthday Celebration

Mr. King was excellent. He made everything about the house and the island fantastic. Once we checked in, water and fruits were in the refrigerator, this made the two teenagers very happy! We would definitely stay here again.

Secluded

Property was typical of a Bahamas out island VRBO. Very secluded, well used but clean, well equipped kitchen, and ice cold A.C. Pretty good snorkeling out front with a nice sandy beach 100 feet to the east. There is a slight current but fortunately it pulls you in not out. Internet was fast and reliable but I would recommend using WHATSAPP for phone calls. Be sure to get plenty of bottled water for cooking, drinking, and brushing teeth as a quick peek in the cistern will confirm the water is not drinkable. Also I would recommend New Bight Service Station (242-342-3014) for rental car. Overall we loved it. I would definitely go back.

We love staying here!!

This was our second time at Gate house. It was a shorter trip and we were reluctant to leave. I appreciated the pool and was in it every afternoon. We also love the beach to the South of the house and all the friendly people around to help. It was great seeing Harrison again and of course we really enjoyed seeing Captain Reynold and our fishing trips with him. Cat Island is truly beautiful and we can’t wait to come back!

Welcome Pool

We had great snorkelling the first 2 days but after it was too windy and choppy. However The pool was always sheltered and became a welcome oasis. Raynold was great and supplied two delicious meals.

Trip to Cat Island

This property is beyond fantastic! Everything is as described, but better! The beds were very comfortable and the water was nice and hot. We loved being at the end of the lane and in such a private area. Listening to the ocean every morning was heaven. The pool was such a fun extra! We fell in love with the people of the island and we have never met such kinder people! Everyone is so responsive! Thank you for everything!

Fantastic place

The house is absolutely fantastic! We had an amazing time. Its a great place to have all the privacy or would want. Reynold the caretaker was super. He made sure we didnt need anything or.if we did he took care of it right away. If youre looking for a place to get away from it all, this is it! I highly recomend!!!

Vacation

We had an incredible time. The caretaker Reynold was awesome! He was the only person we saw the entire time we were there. His wife's cooking was amazing. The house was very private. We had the beach to ourselves. We also loved the pool. We will definitely return to this spot.

Relaxing

The house was extremely clean. Very impressed! This is a great place to relax and unwind. During the hurricane season a lot of the restaurants are closed but you can find enough open and the locals were great. They shared the hidden treasures of the island.

Nice cottage on a very quiet island

Ok, if you're looking for the Four Seasons this may not be for you but I enjoyed it. Great location, private and directly on the beach. Harrison, the caretaker, and Danny, my taxi driver and guide were fantastic. I will be back.

Cute house in gorgeous location

This is a cute house near the water and between two beaches. It had a smaller living space than we expected, and two cute bedrooms ( queen beds) and a small side room for a child. Most of the amenities are for 4 people ( plates/ cups etc). It is a lovely, quiet location ( a car is mandatory!).The pool area is nice, but we ended up not using it as the ocean was in front of the door.The beds are very comfortable queen beds. There is not a lot of space in the bedrooms, but that was not an issue as we were outside most of the time.There is good hot water and good WiFi.This is a cute , rustic hideaway with a beautiful view.Any issues we had were promptly dealt with by the wonderful, kind Harrison and ( if needed) by the owner.

very relaxing

The stay was great...the people on the island were incredible. Harrison was so kind, helpful and accommodating and just all around enjoyable to be around and talk with. We decided that he makes the absolute BEST conch fritters around (and we tried a lot of them while we were there!) If you are looking for complete relaxation and quietness, this is your place. We explored the whole island and the beaches were amazing. Then it was so nice to come back to a refreshing pool. Swimming in front of the property is not really an option but just to the left or right the beach is really nice. We really enjoyed ourselves and were able to unwind.

Beautiful secluded gem!

This was amazing! Cat Island offered privacy, beauty, and a true island experience. It is very natural and we saw so much wildlife and enjoyed exploring the area. The island contact and caretaker, Harrison, made our trip extra special! He showed my kids how to pick and prepare coconuts, brought us to his beautiful farm and gifted us some conch shells! When you bring them back to the states, they must go in your checked luggage otherwise they will confiscate them at customs. The locals were very kind and there is a feeling of safety there. The gate house was very clean and had an abundance of towels and many areas to soak in the sun and listen to the ocean. We appreciate it the pool a lot, and there are also beaches nearby that were incredible and we felt like we had the island all to ourselves. We enjoyed snorkeling on the property and they also had kayaks with a pond nearby. Da Pink Chicken is a little island bar that’s open from about 2 to 6 on the weekends and is within walking distance. This place was a real find and we will be back!! If you want to get away from it all, this is the place
