À propos du quartier

Sorrente

We loved the location, as the charming streets of Sorrento are just outside the door. We were left waiting when we arrived and there was a mix-up in communication and we were left to think perhaps we didn’t have a reservation any longer, but it was corrected. The only issue we had after arrival was us not knowing how to use the washing machine but the owner came personally right away. We loved opening the doors to hear the music from the streets below. Plenty of room for our family of 5.

Dear Jessica, Thank you so much for your lovely review! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the apartment’s central location and the wonderful atmosphere of Sorrento right outside your door. There is something truly special about opening the windows and listening to the music and life of the historic streets below. We sincerely apologize for the confusion upon your arrival. Unfortunately, there was a communication mix-up, but we are glad we were able to resolve it quickly and ensure your stay started on the right foot. We are also pleased that the owner was able to assist you promptly with the washing machine. Providing quick support whenever our guests need it is very important to us. Thank you again for choosing to stay with us. It was a pleasure hosting you and your family, and we hope to welcome you back to Sorrento in the future. Warm regards, Amore Rentals

Great location. Amore was very responsive when we sent email. Kitchen is limited. Advertised as glamorous. You have to put that in context that European doesn’t matchUS. it was convenient to ferries, restaurants near.

Very close to the Main Street and directly on a street with lots of shops. Good location for restaurants and walking. The street to get to the apartment has cobblestones so plan for that when rolling suitcases. It was clean and inviting with a small balcony to watch the busy street below.

Best location!

We had such a great stay here! It’s on this pedestrian street filled with little markets, stores, food etc. Walking distance to the train station and the beach as well as where we met our tour guides. We didn’t cook but loved having the big fridge for water. The only issue we had was lack of hot water but their maintenance person fixed it right after we alerted them. Super appreciated the multiple air conditioners for a great night sleep. Will def have friends and family stay here and hopefully will return for longer ourselves!

Dear Danny, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us! The hot water works with the gas tank. Once the gas tank finishes it has to be replaced once we are informed. It has been done. The bathrooms sink where working properly prior your arrival. We have however resolved the issue as soon as you let us know. Casa 80 is located in a pedestrian area in Sorrento. It is not possible to arrive by car. Therefore we cannot list the property with parking facility. We've checked the advertising and it is clearly specified on the description that the car can be parked in a public parking near the house, for a fee. We kindly advice all our guests to read carefully all the information on the detailed descriptions we offer in order to avoid any misunderstandings. Best Wishes, Amore Rentals Staff

Great location!

We were 4 adults and 2 children (11 & 8). The apartment is very centrally located in the middle of shops, restaurants and Sorrento city center. It’s less than a 10 minute walk downhill to the port to catch ferries or boats to other cities, like Capri or Positano. One kid slept on the daybed attached to the second bedroom and the other slept on the couch in the living room. There was a trundle set up in the living room but it took up the entire space so we slid it back under the couch to give us more room in the living area. The space felt a bit cramped with 6 people. We did have an issue with the hot water but they were quick to respond and someone was at the apartment to fix it within 30 minutes. They were great to communicate with and were very responsive prior to our arrival and during our stay. The building is secure, but be aware that it is not accessible by car. It is between a 5-10 walk on cobblestones, depending on where you are dropped off, to the front door of the apartment. Just something to be aware of if you have issues walking or have lots of luggage. Overall, our stay there was great. Sorrento is a lovely place to visit!

Comfortable apartment in a great location!

The location is phenomenal-right in the heart of the shops and restaurants on via San Caesareo and a short block away from the Sorrento Cathedral and the shops on Corso Italia. The apartment is very comfortable, and the four balconies in the apartment gave us a cool vantage point to check out the lively street below. One of the listed bedrooms is a pass-through to the 3rd bedroom and the 2nd bathroom that is past that, but our family was comfortable with that setup. It is not possible to get a shuttle or van to the apartment. You will have to make the short trip down the street to/from Piazza Tasso with your luggage which can be a little challenging with the crowds on the street. The only problem we encountered was that we were only given two rolls of toilet paper and the handsoap in both bathrooms was nearly empty on arrival. When we told management about this, we were told that we had to supply our own soap and toilet paper. We were also not aware of the rules for trash and recycling which can only go out on certain days. Be sure to ask about these rules at check-in. Although we would likely not stay here again, I would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a good location in the heart of Sorrento.
