We had a wonderful stay. The sauna, hot tub and pool were enjoyed by all. Lake access was a little tricky for the grandparents but many of us enjoyed swimming in the lake. The view was amazing. It was so peaceful to sit on the porch and watch the water- several bald eagles and hummingbirds as well.

We stayed here on our way up to Mount Bohemia and had a fantastic time. Great amenities for the winter and a beautiful view of Lake Superior!

Great Getaway with spectacular view.

The property has a spectacular view of Lake Superior, pool and hot tub make the resort complete. It is remote and private and great for a large group.

Lovely location

We enjoyed our stay at la Rose. The hotub and sauna were a great treat as the weather was rainy and cold. The view is beautiful and the owner was very quick to respond to our questions. Overall a delightful stay.

Beautiful property!

Amazing stay

Had a really wonderful stay at the house at. It was spacious clean organized, comfortable secured. The views are amazing. The pool was wonderful. The hot tub was hot. Everything about the vacation was great. Couldn’t ask for a better house to house a family of 11. Great communication with the owner.

Beautiful, relaxing retrat

Our group came to LaRose Wellness Center to Refresh and Renew after the holidays. It was the perfect space to relax, be nourished and connect deeply with ourselves and each other. The sauna was hot, kitchen was well equipped, beds were comfortable and the view was spectacular! Looking forward to return trips!

Wow, this house, the view, amenities, everything is top notch including the owner Cheryl who has thought of everything! She has everything already there including cereal dispensers filled with cereal. Every yr our group of 10-12 friends go on bike trip to a different place in Michigan and we all agreed this is #1 so far (and we've been doing this for yrs). Cheryl even had a karaoke machine in the house so we sat by the pool and laughed so hard with it as we're not singers ha. Pool, hot tub, house everything is spotless. Bring mosquito spray for night. Picnic table w/canopy by pool also. You'll love this place!!

Relaxing

This was exactly what we needed. The views were breath taking. The location is about 25 minutes outside of Houghton. Waking up to vies of Lake Superior every morning was a breath of fresh air. If we make it back to the Houghton area we will defitry to stay here again.

Wedding Getaway

LaRose Wellness Retreat was absolutely stunning and surpassed all of our expectations. My now husband and I came up from Wisconsin two days before the ceremony and got to enjoy relaxing in the hot tub, by the lake, and around the fire before hosting our wedding on the property. Our guests raved about the beautiful views and we couldn’t agree more. Cheryl was kind and clear with all communication. We look forward to coming back and reminiscing on the start of our forever in such a beautiful place!

Absolutely beautiful family vacation!

My extended family stayed here for 6 days for vacation and had a blast. Host was extremely helpful leading up to the trip, and remained in communication and reachable throughout. The house is stocked with more supplies than we were expecting, and for 10 adults and 5 children we had ample space (the main limiting things being fridge space, indoor dining space (for the one rainy day) and baths, as one tub was not working at time of stay). Between the pool, hot tub, large yard (steeper hill down to the lake than we expected from the photo perspective), BEAUTIFUL personal Lake Superior wading pool, kayak-able shoreline, hikes in the area, and nearby beach+playground (just a short drive south), we were not short on things to keep both kids and adults busy. Our biggest complaint was the flies, which was a seasonal unavoidable thing! Would stay again—If you haven’t visited the bay side of the south superior shore, this is the place to check it out!

Perfect Remote Getaway

We took a friends trip to Cheryl’s property and it was wonderful! The house is on a beautiful slice of heaven, with a sweeping yard overlooking the bay. The pool is very nice (and heated!). The hot tub/ sauna wing of the house is so special. We particularly enjoyed the view of Lake Superior from the window by the hot tub. There are tons of special touches in the house that make it feel so welcoming. The rock painting station, the record player, the cozy TV room, and of course the back porch overlooking the water. Cheryl lives on a separate house on the property and she was super responsive and helpful via chat. The house is VERY private, but an easy 20 minute drive to all types of creature comforts (groceries, restaurants, chain retail). This was my first time in the UP and I am SO glad we chose this place. Thank you Cheryl!

Large Home in a Beautiful Location

My extended family recently spent a week at LaRose and loved our stay. The location was ideal for visiting Houghton, Copper Harbor, Marquette and Porcupine Mountains areas. The house was very large - at one point there were 13 of us and everyone had a bed. After running around all day visiting waterfalls and parks we would return to the house and have time to enjoy the pool, hottub, sauna or kayak in Lake Superior. The views were amazing. Our teens even woke up a few early mornings just to see the sunrise on Lake Superior. Cheryl was wonderful, never bothersome. She came a couple of times to check the pool and hottub but always let us know ahead of time so there were no surprises. We have all recommended LaRose to our friends and anticipate a return visit to the home ourselves. Thank you for sharing your lovely home Cheryl!!

I wanted to share the glorious view of the Keweenaw Bay with the local community and provide lodging with all the amenities you could ask for.
