Cottage classé historique anglais des Cotswolds

Gîte historique en pierre des Cotswolds. Inscrite au grade II, on pense qu’elle a été construite vers 1600. Ce chalet confortable, situé dans un village dans sa propre vallée cachée, est un refuge parfait. Beaucoup de promenades, un pub de campagne fantastique (qui sert une excellente cuisine) à 2 minutes à pied. Mais les centres de Stow-on-the-Wold et de Bourton-on-the-Water se trouvent à seulement 5 km. Le parcours de golf de Naunton Downs, à 5 minutes de route, permet une journée d'adhésion. Adam Henson's Cotwold Farm Park - idéal pour les enfants, à 10 minutes en voiture. Les poutres d'origine, la cheminée, les fenêtres et même un sol d'origine créent une atmosphère unique.

Our stay at Marks was wonderful. Spotlessly clean Excellent location Easy parking on the road right in front of the cottage. There was a great pub just a hop skip and a jump away with great food and friendly staff!! We could not fault this beautiful cottage in anyway and Mark was very quick to reply with any questions we had .Thank you Mark for a lovely 3 night stay.

The cottage is delightfully quaint,cozy, and clean. The neighborhood is quiet and a great place for walking. All appliances worked very well. If you're a bit tall like my husband, you'll have to duck a lot whilst in the home. What a gem!

This cottage is beautiful. It is close to Stow on the Wold and Bourton on the Water. The Black Horse pub is great and a 1 minute walk away. Naunton is quaint and very quiet. We enjoyed everything about our visit.

Relaxed getaway spot

Very nice little place and a great village. We loved walking around the area and eating at the pub nearby. Easy check in and check out for this fun old cottage.

Lovely stay in the Cotswolds

This was a lovely little place and very clean and tidy. There are stairs so can be tricky if you have large heavy luggage. Excellent facilities and the pub close by had delicious food.

Glad it lived up to your expectations. The staircase is the original 1600 one, designed for.smaller people in those days! 😀. We aren't allowed to change them, and its a minor limitation.for the atmosphere.

Met fantastic expectations. Away from the hustle and bustle within the Cotswolds, yet close enough to visit the AONB. Great neighbors and neighborhood. Beds were comfortable. View was charming.

We loved our stay here! The cottage was just lovely. The town is sweet, with great walks along the small river and through the lovely streets. Nice and close to the pub where we found lots of friendly locals who were up for a chat with us Aussies. Marks communication was great. Our only concern when booking was the parking, but this soon proved to be a non-issue with plenty of convenient parking on the street right out the front.

Character accommodation in excellent location

The property was spotless on arrival, well equipped and full of nice surprises. The local pub is no more than five minutes away and serves excellent food. Overall a most enjoyable stay.

Quirky Cotswold Cottage

Quirky little Cotswolds cottage. Loved it. Garden is 2 doors away, which was interesting. Just added to the funny little local vibe.

The reason the garden is 3 metres to one side is that the original Cotswold mappers were decommissioned soldiers from the Napoleonic Wars.. the slight snag was that noone bothered to check if they could read or write! The result is lots of strange Cotswold features like that! Mark

Lovely Break

A great place to stay in a very friendly village. The local pub the Black horse serves beautiful food and we highly recommend it. The cottage itself offered everything we needed and was Clean, warm and well appointed,. We would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area. We would certainly return again in the future.

Just a storybook area to visit . The host left us many clear instructions and tips to familiarize ourselves to make our visit even more perfect. Fully equipped cottage with a warm and authentic snug.

We loven our stay and lovend the quiet village of Naunton. Easy check in and accurate representatie of the place.Good ends and sufficient kitchen supplies. The garden not attached directly to the cottage makes it a bit of a walk with glasses and plates etc when you like to eat outside. And passing the neighbours outdoor mess is not a bit dissapointing. Overall a very nice stay

True Cotswolds experience!

We enjoyed our stay and experiencing true Cotswold living! The cottage is comfortable with deep history. The garden was lovely. It was early spring, so lots of flowers in bloom. The stairway inside is a little narrow (watch your head going up to the third floor!) but the rooms were comfortable and clean. The host, Mark, provides a ton of information about the area and places to see. All around, it was a great place!

Relaxing break

The property was lovely with lots of little extras, which made us feel welcome. Practical layout for four adults, although another higher armchair instead of the little chair would have been great. The garden was delightful and added to our stay. Better directions to find the property, which was set back, would have saved us 30 mins after a long drive.

Lovely quaint little cottage,great location, people very friendly in the village.

Only one very small criticism, if you are trying to cook a roast dinner eg:- Christmas lunch, there was only one small roasting tin, not really big enough for the turkey and all the trimmings. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back in the near future.

When my kids were small we got fed up of low quality self catering that seemed to cost the earth. So we bought our own place in 2000 and have been expanding ever since - a lot of our guests visit again and again. We still regularly stay in all our places to be sure that they are good enough for us to enjoy, not just rentals.

This cottage is a cliche of an English country cottage. Everything about it is exactly what you would expect starting with the atmosphere of the big fireplace and deep windows. But it is also the lovely garden and gorgeous views that make it special... not to mention the great pub just a couple of minutes' walk away!

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Many small cottages have a "cottage garden" - small. This one has a huge garden for kids to play in, or enjoy the terrace for meals (outdoor table and chairs provided) and use the brick Barb-B-Q with a proper chimney. All the beams and the stone ground floor is original from 1600. This cottage hasn't been over-restored, All modern conveniences have been built into what is there, nothing original has been ripped out.
