MARCHÉ À SNOW SUMMIT! À pied du parc à vélo en été, à quelques minutes du lac Big Bear: amusez-vous toute l'année dans une spacieuse cabine de 3 000 pieds carrés sur trois niveaux, au bord du Snow Summit Resort. Notre maison est juste en dessous de la piste de ski Westridge Park. 4 chambres, 4 salles de bain, ainsi qu'une grande salle de jeux avec une grande table de billard, un baby-foot, des fléchettes électroniques et une télévision haute définition à écran plat (Directv). Il y a aussi une table de ping-pong dans le garage. Trois plate-formes avec barbecue à gaz sur le pont principal. Accès Internet haut débit sans fil - 3 téléviseurs. C'est une cabane familiale géniale où de nombreux souvenirs spéciaux peuvent être faits.

Vous trouverez un salon confortable avec une cheminée à bois, une cuisine bien équipée et une grande salle à manger séparée à l'étage principal. Cuisine, salle à manger et salon à l'étage principal; trois chambres à l'étage; au rez-de-chaussée comprend une grande salle de jeux et une chambre pouvant accueillir cinq personnes avec une salle de bain complète. La cabine dispose de trois ponts, un barbecue à gaz sur le pont principal et une machine à laver / sécheuse à l'intérieur à l'étage pour votre commodité. La cabine est située sur une route privé sans issue avec beaucoup d'intimité. Il existe de nombreuses pentes et beaucoup d'espaces ouverts pour de superbes traineaux tout autour de la cabine. Près des sentiers de randonnée et du nouveau parc à vélos, du terrain de golf, de l'équitation, du zoo, des boutiques, des restaurants et du village de Big Bear.

Family get-away

We had a great long weekend at Steps to Summit. The house is in a great location with open land around it making it perfect for sledding and snow play. The house is clean and comfortable with 4 good size bedrooms. Mary Ellen was very responsive and prompt at answering all our questions. I would definitely stay at this property again

Steps to summit was great!

We had 3 families- 13 people total. Tons of room for everyone. Loved that we could walk to summit. House had darts, ping pong and pool and a huge TV in the main room. Great location. Clean. Took a nice walk/ hike from the property. Hope to stay again!

Great Big Bear House!

We stayed in this house over New Years - a total of 4 families and had a great time. House is very clean, spacious, and well-stocked. We especially enjoyed being able to go right out back and go sledding and build snowmen. The pool table and fooseball table were also lots of fun. Also very conveniently located for all local activities - skiing, intertubing, zoo, village, lake, etc. Would highly recommend this house!

Hello Fred, I noticed your review and our handyman checked the propane tanks. One tank was completely full and just had to be changed out. Sorry for the inconvenience. We bought a second tank in case the current tank runs out of propane. So sorry for the inconvenience.

Great cabin, great location!

We are two families with teenagers that stayed at Steps 2 Summit cabin in December. The cabin was clean, very well-equipped, charmingly decorated for Christmas, and very comfortable. It is also in the perfect location, literally just steps to Snow Summit ski area, but it remains quiet and feels secluded. When our teens weren't skiing, they were playing in the snow right outside the cabin, or playing pool, ping pong or foosball indoors--perfect! Beds were comfortable, common areas spacious, and kitchen well-equipped. It was a great spot for our family getaway.

Family Christmas

Steps2Summit was the perfect house for our family Christmas! Our family of 7 adults had plenty of space for sleeping and gathering. The game room downstairs was great for entertainment. And it truly is steps to skiing - we were able to walk over and get on the mountain within the hour. We also enjoyed hiking and a dinner out in town. Mary Ellen was so helpful when making the reservation and preparing us for our stay. We hope to return for a future visit!

Clean, Warm, Comfortable, Well stocked. 10' and no stairs from vehicle to front door. Everything was perfect, even snow on Christmas eve even though none was forecast! Walk to Snow Summit, but still not hear the Snow Cats and Snow Jets. Possibly the best location ever.

You can not appreciate the location of Steps 2 Summit for skiiers until you experience it. Everybody else has to hassle with parking, a huge benefit in itself. Mary Ellen has provided for so so many little convenieces in her home making it easy to just relax IE: seasonings, baggies, toiletries, papers, and the list goes on. Steps 2 Summit is decorated with love and care making it a pdrfect fit for a special time with family and friends. Highly recommend!

You won’t regret it

We stayed here for the weekend with my sisters, their husbands and kids. Ages ranging from 5 months old to 45. Mary’s house is absolutely amazing and perfect for our stay. It is in a great location and the kids had so much fun sledding in the back yard and the hill across the street. The bottom floor has a game room with a pool table and football table. It was perfect for the teenagers to disconnect and play together. The kitchen was fully stocked and the gas grill was perfect for cooking meals. The beds were comfy and the whole house was so cozy. I would not hesitate to stay here again. We look forward to coming back to stay here again.

Perfect Location for Snow Summit

We had several families with small children. The goal was to take them to learn to snowboard. We signed them up for classes for Saturday and it was great to have a cabin within walking distance of the resort. Literally, it is a few hundred steps to the parking of Snow Summit Resort. The little kids had their morning session of class and we picked them up and brought them home for lunch and then took them back for their afternoon session. It was perfect! The cabin is even more spacious and comfortable than the pictures give it credit. Several TVs and the game room located on the bottom of the 3 levels is a great place for the kids to hang out while the parents relax a bit upstairs. I called the property manager for some balls that were missing from one of the games and within 20 minutes she was over getting them for us. The owner was great as well. She made us feel very welcome. This was a great place to stay with our children. We are going to plan to come back to this cabin in the summer.

Perfect Family Get-Away!

We brought our children and extended family to Steps-2-Summit for a pre-Christmas reunion/get-away. Our time there could not have been more perfect. The home is nicely furnished, equipped and amended for the fun and relaxation of all ages (10 people, ages 2 to 50 in our case). We skied at Summit two days and the short walk made it easy to go on and off the slopes. Even though the Summit parking lot is only a stone's throw away, you wouldn't know there were any cars in it because of the small hill that separates it from the house. In my opinion, the house is in the perfect location for Summit. When we weren't on the slopes, we had plenty of other things to do: sledding across the road, playing pool, pingpong, and foosball, or just relaxing in front of the cozy fireplace, watching a good movie. It was nice and warm inside, showers were hot and the beds very comfortable. I got more sleep than I've had in ages. Those who know me, know that says a lot by itself. Mary Ellen went out of her way to make sure we had a great time at Steps-2-Summit. It isn't easy for our family to schedule such events. It is an investment in time and money. But the payoff in strengthening family bonds and making memories is priceless. We look forward to making Steps-2-Summit an annual family retreat! Thank you!

Walk to Snow Summit

Our priority is to be able to walk to Snow Summit from where we stay if possible and this home is close to the west end of the Snow Summit parking lot. We also need enough space for our large family of 4 grown kids with spouses and kids. With 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and a large game room with a futon, this home is a nice big size. It’s clean and the owner is great to work with. The beds are comfortable. We stayed with our grown kids and their kids (our grandkids), 9 adults, 3 kids 7 and under and 2 babies in pack n plays and there was space for us all. The kitchen is small but efficient and well stocked. Fridge wasn’t big enough for all the food we brought for 4 days so we used our ice chests to store food too. The dining table is nice and big. The home is not recently remodeled but feels very clean and homey and comfortable. It’s a tri level home with the game room a the bottom with the bunk bedroom that is perfect for a family. Kitchen and living room/dining room on the middle floor and 3 bedrooms upstairs along with 2 full bathrooms (1 in the master and 1 in the hall) and the laundry. We had snow so we were able to sled across the street and play in the snow in the backyard. Our kids 1-7 yrs all had a great time in the snow in both these areas. There was a funky smell downstairs (like an animal had died under the house) while we were there but owner tried to help discover the cause and we felt her support to fix it. It didn’t ruin our time and we will def stay at Steps 2 Summit again. Our whole family agreed it was a great rental for our yearly long winter weekend in Big Bear.

Steps-2-Summit

My friends have an annual trip to big bear which includes doing activities like snowboarding and sledding, this property is very cozy and the amenities make it fun to relax after a fun filled day or continue the fun with the games and entertainment provided. I absolutely LOVE the location and how close it is to the summit! No need to drive and look for parking since it’s just a 5 minute walk!! And there’s also places to sled nearby as well!

Great timing...unbelievable cabin

We just had a fantastic vacation. Cabin holds two families easily. It was immaculately clean, the foosball, pool table and ping pong we going all night. Yes just steps away from Snow Summit, but just as importantly a nice open view from the back and front of cabin - not boxed in at all. And a great bonus...we arrived just after two feet of new snow at Big Bear. Truly great memory for our family.

We previously rented cabins for our family in Big Bear for many years. We had the opportunity to buy our own cabin and were so fortunate to find Steps-2-Summit. It is a perfect family cabin where we have enjoyed many special moments and happy family gatherings. We can walk to the ski area, have lots of fun sledding and playing in the snow all around the cabin during the winter months. We also enjoy many great summer activities such as nearby hiking/bicycling trails, Alpine bobsleds, water slide, boating, nearby lake activities - water skiing, wake boarding and fishing. We hope you enjoy Big Bear Lake and our cabin as much as we do!

Summit Estates is a great area - you can walk to the Snow Summit ski area, and the cabin is located just a few minutes' drive to Bear Mountain (or shuttle from Snow Summit), markets, Big Bear Lake, and Big Bear Village. We are very close to hiking/biking trails and many fun activities during summer months. Located on a private, cul-de-sac road, we have the perfect 'mountain hideaway' location which offers a great escape for year-round fun and relaxation. It is a great cabin for our family and is very special to us.

The cabin is on a secluded, peaceful private road - it is a great escape to enjoy many year-round mountain activities or just relax and enjoy! It is a special cabin for family get-togethers, celebrations, and reunions. Just a short walk to Snow Summit Ski Lodge, Bicycle Park and hiking trails.
