The place was clean and very stylish, just as it is in the pictures. Very close to Hampstead Heath, nicely situated to enjoy the walks. Many coffee shops and pubs near by. Kitchen utensils and dishes were useful. Enjoyed staying at this very residential yet easy reach to the tube station area.

Excellent stay near Hampstead Heath!

We had an excellent stay in this very clean and contemporary property only steps from the beautiful Hampstead Heath! We very much enjoyed our hikes in the park on the many trails available, as well as frequent visits to Hampstead Village with great pubs, restaurants and stores, all within easy walking distance. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Great Stay in Hampstead

Property was as advertised and very comfortable for a family. Great communication with the manager and clear directions in terms of access and amenities. Manager was available to answer any questions or concerns. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Hampstead Flat

This is a beautiful property with a stylish, modern interior within easy walking distance to Hampstead tube station as well as Hampstead Heath. The host was extremely responsive and helpful. Check in was very easy and we truly enjoyed our stay.

A Few Days in Hampstead

We loved the location as the property was close to the shopping area, trains and the Heath. The apartment was very clean and modern. Would have liked a page or booklet on how to use a lot of the appliances as we were not familiar with some of them. We came for a family wedding in the area so location was again, great Would highly recommend

Lovely stay

The property is exactly as advertised - super clean with modern fixtures. The hosts were very communicative and super helpful with any questions (none too small or large). If you are looking for a peaceful stay close to the Hampstead Heath and to the High Street and transport look no further. Thanks again to my guest M&M.

A very nice place to stay in

Staying for about a week at The English Gentleman in Hampstead was truly a joy for all of us. The property basically had everything we needed and the location was excellent. it was close to all sort of amenities, and most of all, not too far from Highgate, where my mother-in-law resides. We certainly consider staying at this property in our upcoming trips to London. Michael, the property manager, was more than helpful and very responsive.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in The English Gentleman. The apartment was very clean and classy. It had everything we needed. And the location is perfect, especially for our kids. It is right by Hampstead Heath, plenty of room to run around and play. Our host Megan was excellent. She clearly cares and strived to make our stay comfortable, going as far as providing groceries upon our arrival (which was essential after our late night arrival from Los Angeles) We would definitely book again!

Beautiful flat in ideal Hampstead location for family stay

Very well kitted out flat, very clean, in great location. Communications with the property manager were vexing at times, and could put us off from re-booking. We book through VRBO quite regularly and never experienced this level of disorganisation, and poor co-ordination.

I’ve reviewed the chat and can see you tried to make the booking earlier which we informed you was not possible. We offered you another apartment in a quote that you accepted and then you complained you had been charged. In order to ensure clear communication I’d advise you avoid confirming reservations until you know you want to stay to avoid unnecessary administrative hassle on both sides. Regardless we would be happy to host you again in the future.

This property is in a great location, clean and well-maintained. We found the checkin process very cumbersome because the necessary information was sent in 3 separate messages making it necessary to toggle back and forth to get complete information. It would be much better to have a single message with all required information. Unlike other properties with resident restricted properties, the host does not offer guest vehicle registration. We were instructed to download paid parking apps, but that doesn’t work for people who live outside the UK. Making it impossible to park our vehicle. Fortunately, we has a short stay and was able to leave our car with friends who live a few miles away. The host offered words of empathy but no workable solutions. Best advise is no automobile. We never found paid, unrestricted overnight parking

We appreciate the suggestion regarding the check in instructions and will review how these are presented to make them easier to follow in one place. For clarity, parking is not advertised as part of the listing. We are always happy to advise guests on parking options, however in this case we were not contacted in advance about parking and only heard from you after a ticket had already been issued because the vehicle was parked in a restricted area. As parking on the surrounding streets is public and managed by the local council, it is not linked to the flat and unfortunately there is very little we can do once a ticket has been issued. Had we known in advance that you were planning to arrive by car, we would of course have been happy to advise on the appropriate parking arrangements beforehand. sophisticated English village vibe

Overall, a very lovely stay in Hampstead. The flat is quite nice - a 5-star space. We gave a 4-star review for a few simple and easily fixed reasons: when we arrived, there were cleaning items left out, wash was still in the laundry, and the check-in process was a bit wonky. Everything except the check-in could easily be overlooked - just making mention. Megan, the property manager was very responsive so nothing was a terribly big deal. As for the check-in, just know that a separate 3rd party will contact you for personal information related to the stay - but this isn't made clear in any of the listing details (so just be aware - it's not a scam!). Getting in to the flat could also be better explained because it isn't clear WHICH flat is the rental flat and the key cupboard is also a bit confusing. Again, none of this is a very big deal, just something small that could be easily improved. The flat was an open, uncluttered, and lovely modern space so high marks there. It was comfortable if you really wanted to hang back and relax as well as nice to come back to after a busy day. Know that this flat is the below-street space BUT you also have a private outdoor space - a very nice patio - with floor-to-ceiling windows from the LR so it doesn't feel like a cave. The kitchen is very well equipped - personally, I would've liked a teapot - electric or otherwise (there's a hot/cold water filter at the kitchen sink) but, again, just a personal preference. Location is GREAT - just around the corner from the Heath and only a short walk in either direction to the commercial areas which have lots of shops, restaurants, Tube stop, shopping. If you want a different kind of London experience - rather than staying in the heart of the city - Hampstead is a great option because it's still fun and interesting but it's a village vibe and you know you're definitely outside of the city. Old memories

Excellent and met all expectation as we knew the area from previous visits. Everything we needed was available. The very modern kitchen appliances were a little daunting to get going but once we understood them worked well. Would do it again if possible.
