Best location for City sightseeing, 2 bed 2 bathroom Flat in the middle of town.

This guest clearly did not read the confirmation email highlighting access etc Our house manager needs to be contacted at least 20-30 mins prior to arrival so that there is no waiting outside the flat ! Also very surprising to hear there were no pillowcases, that is clearly an oversight but all they had to do was contact the house manager so whatever linen or towelling was required could be sorted. we provide Shower gel & hand wash but there is a chemist less than 2 mins away where you can get whatever hair product you require.

Well with all the complaints I am surprised she gave us a middle of the road rating ! This guest's flight was delayed by more than 14 hours so basically arrived like a bear with a sore head, she complained about everything, nothing was good enough for her ! First of all there was no heatwave, the temperature was no more than 21 degrees during the day and dropped to 15-16 at night, she did have the heating on which is why they were so hot, so that could have easily been resolved. The a/c units work very well and 99% of guests were more than happy with them, bearing in mind we had temperatures between 30-36 degrees for at least 6 weeks during the summer with quite a few guests coming through so that was good testament to their capability & efficiency, as nobody else complained but were complimentary. She did not need to move one of them around and could have asked the team to help if it really was an issue. There is an air cooler dyson fan which is more than sufficient in the small bedroom especially in those temperatures. (it's not just a fan but actually cools the air temperature) The flat is on the ground floor but has a railing between the windows and pavements with a void between so is not easily accessible so not really a problem having the windows open, which also have bolts on so cannot be opened past a certain distance to prevent anyone gaining access, should one be apprehensive or nervous. The carpet was a bit stained but nothing any other guests were concerned about bearing in mind this is a rental unit, I think she was expecting a Ritz hotel suite at an affordable rate, it's not practical to have expensive furnishings in a rental unit with quite a high turnover, so it is comfortable for most guests. I have however had the carpets professionally cleaned, so they are now clean & fresh. (not sure why they were told not to wear shoes in the flat as I think that should be a personal preference.) Because of her poor communication our driver went all the way to Gatwick to pick her up (at his cost) but in fact the flight had been delayed and diverted to Heathrow. (She sent through the new flight number too late) The driver offered to stop off so they could get some groceries so not sure why she is also complaining about no water in the flat (London tap water is fine to drink although some guests do prefer mineral water) She tried to pay the driver in dollars which of course is no use to him, to be fair that was resolved and she did use the driver again for the return trip. The mattresses are relatively new so not sure where her idea of a dip is coming from. One TV is usually enough for most guests on holiday.
