Hi Elizabeth, I want to address your concerns about the fake snake you mentioned in your review. I was able to find out who put the fake snake out. Apparently, he put the fake snake out years ago to help ward off the Javelinas that occasionally come through there. It works so he has always kept it there. So, to ease your mind, it was not intended to scare you. This same neighbor has a security camera on his property. It has been on 24/7 for years. so, to ease your mind again, he wasn't trying to spy on anyone, it's there to keep his property under surveillance, much like the ring cameras that a lot of people have. I was however concerned that he showed it to someone else. Apparently, his mother lives next door to him and he shared it with her. She must have mentioned it to another neighbor. I did let him know that you were not happy about the incident. I am sorry that you felt uncomfortable and even scared and that he told his mother about it. We take each review seriously and try to address any concerns a guest may have. Hopefully this explains the reason for the snake and to assure you it was not put there to intentionally play a prank on any of our guests. I am afraid of snakes, and I would have been scared too if I had seen it (fake or not). I did share your concerns and hopefully, moving forward, he will be more aware of how others may feel about the snake and security camera.
